This book fulfils everything it promises to do and is honest about the limitations that an 80 page overview on the far-reaching topic of theatre & nation. Whilst not pretending to be extensive, it is a worthwhile read as it is a bite-sized package if food for thought. I would be interested however, to see a post-Brexit edition if this book and see how this impacts the focus and direction of it as a whole.
