The book opens with a short from one of my favorite Blaze series, the Last Chance Ranch. Tucker is former bad boy who has been given a second chance by Jack and his brothers. When a prized paint escapes the barn, Tucker takes off to catch the horse and to prove his worth and work ethic to the Chance brothers. After being thrown from his snow machine, Tucker is literally rescued from an impending snow storm by his high school fantasy. I love the theme of second chances in this series and these two definitely heat up the night with their second (and third) rounds of loving. Yee haw! Speaking of hard workers, Jared Martin knows a thing or two about all work and no play. And the perfect place to learn how to find fun is Good Riddance, Alaska. Jared has come to town to be the best man for his buddy Nick, who found love in frozen town with a red hot cook named Gus. Northern Fantasy picks up on Nick and Gus' romance and builds on the northern miniseries with Teddy, the wanna-be actress. She has been such a strong force in the books leading up to her short, I was so happy to see her find a love of her own. I have loved all the Uniformly Hot books in the series. I guess I just want to believe that all the men and women who serve our countries (USA and Canada) have a heart holding them dear while they are away fighting for us. That said, this short was touching, sweet and heartbreaking. Silas is granted leave for Christmas, but his parents were not home to see his "surprise". But one gorgeous naked woman, in the form of Delphie singing in the hot tub, was home to greet him. While both are shocked at their instant connection, their romance was genuine and steamy. But like many love stories for those in the military, parting is such sweet sorrow….I really wish this story had an epilogue for what happened two months later when Silas' tour ends. You do not need to have read any of the series I mentioned to enjoy these shorts…I would recommend picking up this Christmas anthology and some Calgon and get taken away this Christmas! Enjoy!

AAARGH!!! The computer ate my review. Let me try again. Because this book is three novellas, I am going to review them individually. The first novella is by far my favourite. Both of them have reasons for disliking Christmas, which they'd shared with each other at a high school dance, along with one amazing kiss, ten years earlier. Both of them have reasons for disliking Christmas, which they'd shared with each other at a high school dance, along with one amazing kiss, ten years earlier. Circumstances, and a runaway horse, have brought them together again. It's time for them to let a little Christmas spirit back into their lives. 5 stars I had somewhat mixed feelings about Jennifer LaBrecque's Northern Fantasy. New York stockbroker, Jared, is off to a small town in Alaska for his best friend's wedding. Teddy is a friend of the bride. I'm sure you can smell set-up as fast as the next person. But he has baggage and she has dreams...blah blah, yadda yadda...of course it all ends happily ever after. What saves this from eternal pukeville is a quirky location and some pretty darned decent writing. 3.5 stars Then we come to He'll Be Home for Christmas by Rhonda Nelson. It started off so cute. Silas wants to surprise his parents, whom he hasn't seen at Christmas for two years, so doesn't tell him that he's gotten leave from Iraq. His parents, believing that neither of their children will be home, have gone on a cruise. He gets home to a (mostly) empty house. Empty but for the cute next-door neighbour using the hot tub! Oh, and did I mention she's naked and she's forgotten a towel? The story has so many good parts, but then it just ends. Abruptly. Done. No denouement. As if someone stopped the movie with ten minutes to go. I wanted to scream. Or cry. 2 stars.

A sexy cowboy reunites with an old friend and they reclaim the spirit of Christmas. Love at first sight in a small Alaskan town, togetherness and good love scenes are encompassed in one book. Three nice, heartwarming tales of the holidays. A soldier comes home to be with his parents for Christmas, and instead finds a lusty, physical attraction that surprisingly quickly turns to something serious. Good read!!

They are all short - but sweet! I think my favorite was He'll Be Home for Christmas - because I knew the other story lines and characters. Fun read!

The 2nd story I found it ended a little bit abrupt but other than that these were 3 quick stories, easy to read and sweet.

Both of them have issues celebrating Christmas, but it's time for them to get over it and enjoy it, specially since they are together and still attracted to each other. "Northern Fantasy" (linked to LaBrecque's Alaskan Heat series) is settled in Alaska, where New Yorker Jaren Martin needs a break and met Teddy Monroe, a woman who turn him on the exact moment he saw her. This one is definitely the hotest story of the three, their attraction was indomitable, but I think it would have been better if the story would have been longer, since the characters had more to say. "He'll Be Home for Christmas" (not sure if it's linked to the Men Out of Uniform series) is about Silas, who just got permission to spend the holidays with his family and Delphie, his neighbor and the only who is looking after his parent's house. This story is very sweet, Delphie and Silas fell in love and it wasn't only about physical attraction, and I absolutely loved the ending. I think it was perfect for a short story and very realistic, it was my favorite. Overall, I think Merry Christmas, Baby is the perfect anthology is you are looking for naughty holidays short stories. And don't worry about the stories being linked to series, you can still read them if you haven't read the previous books.

"It's Christmas, Cowboy" by Vicki Lewis Thompson - 3 stars Thompson does great contemporary cowboy romance, and this is a well written, if short, Christmas romance of rekindled love in a warm, cozy cabin while a storm blazes outside. "Northern Fantasy" by Jennifer LaBrecque - 2 stars A burnt out New York stockbroker goes to Alaska for a wedding and meets his match in an Alaskan native whose got the itch to make it on New York broadway. This one didn't do much for me, maybe because as soon as I read the phrase "Alaskan village", I kept picturing images of Barrow, Alaske, from the movie 30 Days of Night, and waiting for the vampires to come out. "He'll Be Home for Christmas" by Rhonda Nelson - 4 stars My favorite of the three short stories, this one features Silas, who discovers his parents' cute neighbor naked in their hot tub when he comes home unexpectedly on military leave from Iraq. His parents are on vacation, and Silas enjoys his furlough with his new friend, Delphie, an expert in frying up chicken. The dialogue between Silas and Delphie is smart, and I especially enjoyed this passage: “In that case, how about dinner?” Her startled gaze swung to his. “Dinner?” “Dinner, supper, the evening meal,” he said, listing the various alternatives. “Whatever you want to call it. The fridge is bare and I’ve spent the last ten hours on a plane eating complimentary peanuts and stale pretzels.” He grinned. “I’m hungry. Have you eaten?” “No,” she said. “I find that alcohol is a lot more effective if I drink it on an empty stomach.”

But it turns out that his parents aren’t home for the holidays and their neighbour Delphie is just the right person to spend some time with. I really enjoy reading this anthology, right after the holidays and I have to say that the third story was definitely my favourite, although the other two are very close behind the first. All three stories were well written and very entertaining. All the characters were great and the couples were definitely right for each other. I would love to read some more of these authors in the near future.

Even though its only October and I normally don't like to read anything remotely holiday related until AFTER Thanksgiving, I got this from the library via my reserves, so I went ahead and read it. Thompson delivered a great read as usual. I really liked the format of this book and enjoyed the holiday theme. Also, since there were three stories, you got about 3x the amount of sex for this size book, so that rocked! LOL I would def recommend to any romance/erotica fan who also likes stories being tied to the winter holidays.

Three Christmas time tales about finding the one you're meant to be with and what each couple is willing to do make that happen. I found all three stories to be very enjoyable. Each of the characters was well written and showcased their individual histories as a means for how they find new love. I will definitely read each of these authors again.

Three short stories about love at first sight at Christmas. The first story is about a cowboy and lady snow bound in a cabin. The second story a New York business man and a country girl from Alaska where the story takes place. The third story is a soldier home from the Iraq war at Christmas and a local beach girl. All three stories are good sexy Christmas romances.
