It is a fairly basic book, I have no qualms with it. A good overall introduction to the topic, the structure could be improved somewhat by focusing on ways to condense the material after it is discussed, it isn't always clear what the point he wants to make is. I think the chapter I was most interested in is the Ramsey discount one but again he seems to go too quickly, doesn't really explain much.
