My grandsons and I all enjoyed perusing the recipes in this book based on food from the Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs book series. The instructions are well thought out and clearly written so all is easy to understand. Teaching children to cook is vital and using a familiar, loved story is a great way to spark interest in culinary adventures!

A cute little book. Great to cook with kids and for big kids too. I love the picture and the recipe for "Snowy Mashed Potatoes with Sunrise" yes we all know how to make mashed potatoes with butter on top, but these are straight from the pages of Grandpa's imagination and that is what makes them so special. The wonderful illustrations and the photo really does look like a snow mountain with a wonderful buttery glow melting over the top of it. A cute little book. A nice collection of kid favorites ranging from hamburgers to spaghetti. A brief rules and tools page opens the book and then a list of recipes is laid out with illustrations. The dishes aren't aaranged into section based on main course, dessert, etc, but there is an index. A photo and an illustration are included beside each recipe and the ingredients needed can all be found at the grocery store, no need for hitting up a specialty grocer. The instructions are usually around 5 steps and read well A nice collection of kid favorites ranging from hamburgers to spaghetti. The instructions are usually around 5 steps and read well in terms of young readers being able to understand what they're doing. I didn't necessarily want to make all of the dishes, but there's enough food kids will want to make that this book would make an excellent gift. Recommended for K-5.

Besides that, the recipes themselves are wacky in a fun sort of way that, I think, kids will absolutely enjoy.
