Absoluely one of the best books about sociopathy on the market today, Red Flags of Love Fraud: 10 Signs You're Dating a Sociopath by Donna Andersen contains so much distilled, tested, real-world truth it's difficult to pinpoint the most useful portions. It's all good. It's all good. Andersen, the siterunner of lovefraud.com and it's attached blog, uses her own experience, crowdsourced wisdom from contributors to her site, survey data and information from professionals to pull together a must-have resource for anyone who has been victimized by a sociopath. Fortunate folks whose lives haven't brushed up against these monsters might scoff at some of the stories, but for those whose lives have been wrecked by predators (who already know better), this book could be a lifeline. If you have a loved one you suspect might be involved with a dangerous person, buy this book for him or her. If you're about to dip a toe in the internet dating pool, read this book first. And if you're a victim, just coming to the realization of what you were in love with, get this book and keep it close. You'll need to re-read its lessons over and over as you recover. The writing is professional, the format is accessible and the book is notable for the absence of hucksterism. Andersen isn't selling seminars, retreats, courses or DVDs. She's just presenting facts, and her background in journalism really makes this book stand out from others in the same genre. My only criticism is a perhaps too-abrupt ending. After over 200 pages of facts about con artists and abusers, rapists and criminals, I could have used an epilogue that reminded readers a bit more forcefully that recovery and reclamation of one's life are possible, and that sociopaths usually wind up alone, broke, pathetic and loathed. Nevertheless, I'd recommend this book first, over The Sociopath Next Door, over Without Conscience, over many others cited in the footnotes. It's unvarnished truth coming from an obvious place of compassion and understanding. You don't find that very often.

If you suspect that you, or a friend, or loved one, are involved with a sociopath then please read this book. Even if you have no clue what a sociopath is, but you know in your gut something just isn’t right, then please read this book. It could very well save you, or your loved one, a whole lot of grief by turfing one more sociopath to the curb. Read the full review by visiting http://silverandgrace.com/book-review... Amazing and helpful I have never read a book that has related so much to my life. This book has helped me greatly in my recovery from sociopathic abuse.

I came across this book and Donna Andersens's Lovefraud.com blog back when I left my sociopath ex-husband. It validated everything I had been feeling and experiencing for years. I had tears in my eyes, as I suddenly understood the evil I had been involved with and I just wanted to thank Donna for being such an advocate in helping others to recover from sociopathic violence. Sharing her personal story also helped me in knowing that I wasn’t alone in what I had gone through, as at that time, I had I came across this book and Donna Andersens's Lovefraud.com blog back when I left my sociopath ex-husband. Necessary reading for this empath I’ve been dealing with an abusive partner but honestly it still feels wrong to say that. I am also responsible for my actions that have enabled her behavior mainly binge drinking. I have poured $$$$ into this relationship in the hopes of a wonderful relationship with loving sex. It’s not happening. This book has opened my eyes to narcissism and the abuse that goes along with it.

Since I too had married a sociopath, I found this book very interesting. It described behaviors familiar to me. I think this book would be great for anyone who is on the dating scene or who is having problems in their marriage. If your mate is a sociopath, you will see them in these pages. There were also stories of people, both male and female, who had married sociopaths. It was a good read.
