Are you tired of taking drugs to coverup your symptoms? Are you fed up with going to doctors and wasting money on medicine? Even with medical intervention and all those drugs that you take, you're still sick, aren't you? Are you living in pain, exhausted from a lack of sleep, and feeling depressed? Are you feeling so sick that you think you're going to die? You're not alone. Hundreds of millions of Americans are suffering without knowing the reasons why. Author, Dawn Roberts, was in the same boat, that sinking ship called ill-health. She suffered with over 100 symptoms and was diagnosed with over 35 diseases (acid reflux-GERD, anemia, allergies, bronchitis, depression, dermatitis, dysmenorrhea, endometriosis, fibrocystic breast disease, fibromyalgia, gallstones, hormonal imbalance, hyperthroidism, hypoglycemia, irritable bowel syndrome, kidney stones, migraines, mitral valve prolapse, multiple chemical sensitivities, occular migraines, peripheral neuropathy, plantar fasciitis, pre-mentrual syndrome, restless legs syndrome, scoliosis, sinusitis, temporomandibular joint-TMJ, tinnitus, vertigo, and others.) Doctors prescribed countless drugs and performed surgeries, but nothing helped. Dawn's health declined at a rapid pace. Finally, doctors suggested that she might have multiple sclerosis-MS, Parkinson's, or Lou Gehrig's disease-ALS. Anxiety attacks and heart palpitations were debilitating. At one point, she felt so bad and was so afraid that she just wanted to die. Disgusted with life, Dawn decided that there must be a better way and a reason for her dis-ease. As a Forensic Document Examiner, Dawn has a trained eye to uncover the truth. So she set out to find the TRUE CAUSE of disorder and she found it, removed the cause, and EVERY symptom and disease went away! Dawn lost over 60 pounds and has been disease-free for the past 15 years. She learned that you do not have to be sick or fat.

Is it fair to review one's own book? Of course I'm going to give it 5-stars. I spent fifteen years doing scientific research, and surrendered blood, sweat, and tears to bring it to fruition. Of course I'm going to give it 5-stars. I spent fifteen years doing scientific research, and surrendered blood, sweat, and tears to bring it to fruition. How could I not give it 5-stars? My mission statement for writing "WARNINGS of Disease": To help people realize that artificial food additives and toxic chemicals, including those found in drugs and everyday products, are responsible for causing sickness and disease, with obesity being the end-product of consumption. Where is it written in the annals of time that a person must be diseased and fat? "WARNINGS of Disease" includes my personal story of miraculous healing from over 100 debilitating symptoms and 35 diagnosed diseases. MS, Parkinson's, or Lou Gehrig's disease were kicked around as the final judgment of such mayhem. But how can a person suddenly be healed of so many devastating diseases? How can a person lose 60 pounds without even trying? To find the answers, you'll have to read my book. But I will give you a hint: I changed my lifestyle and eating habits and switched to eating whole foods void of toxic food additives; I quit taking all drugs; and I eliminated my exposure to toxic chemicals at all costs. The result? GOOD HEALTH, HAPPINESS, AND WEIGHT LOSS!

3 1/2 Stars (maybe 4) I received the book for free through Goodreads First Reads. More and more of us are becoming aware of the global epidemic of health problems due to the foods and products we use daily. The world is finally beginning to open their eyes to the horrors we have inflicted upon our bodies all these years and never knew to question our poor health. More and more of us are becoming aware of the global epidemic of health problems due to the foods and products we use daily. The world is finally beginning to open their eyes to the horrors we have inflicted upon our bodies all these years and never knew to question our poor health. Even those who consider themselves in good health most often have common ailments they regularly treat with over the counter medicine. Headaches/migraines, digestive problems, dizziness, acid reflux, skin ailments, yeast infections, depression, panic attacks and the list goes on and on. In WARNINGS of Disease: Your Body Uses Symptoms to Communicate you not only learn about the consequences of exposing your body to certain common toxins but you begin to identify some probable causes of many ailments you are experiencing in your own life. If, nothing else, this book provides an awakening to the general public who are just beginning to question how safe their foods and household products really are. This was an interesting and easy to comprehend guide on educating yourself about your health. Dawn Roberts tells us about her personal journey back into good health by focusing on the cause and not just the treatment. *Which in my own personal experience, treating the problem is often the only reaction to illness that I see in mainstream medical care. There are side effects to anything you put in/on your body. I recommend this to anyone willing to think outside of the box... The box that has trapped the majority of the population into believing most corporations care about their consumers' health.

Thank you for choosing me! With my mess issues of the last 26 years I REALLY WANT TO READ IT! This wasn't a quick and easy read, but if you are looking for answers to health problems that have hounded you for years and the Dr's have thrown up their hands at a loss and you are just EXISTING...it is worth the time to read. It will be a book to go back to for gleaning information, facts and reminders from for a long time! Thank you for picking me and sending it to me to read. It was much needed!

I received a copy of this book as part of Goodreads' First Reads program in exchange for an honest review. First, let me begin by stating that I agree with the overall premise of the book that what we put into our bodies has a huge impact on our overall health. If you put toxins into your body, the result is certainly going to be symptoms of toxicity. So any constructive criticism I provide is not based on a difference of opinion or disbelief of the author's claims. The author, a self-professed junk food junkie, uses her story as an example of the effect food, drugs and chemicals have on our bodies. By eliminating certain foods and chemicals and making other lifestyle changes, she was "miraculously" healed. This book does many things right - there is a lot of information about certain toxins found in processed foods. The author does a great job of listing toxins, disorders, common additives and chemicals, and even a list of supplements she took to help detoxify. The lists are a great reference that I have bookmarked for easy future navigation. The author also does a great job of using examples to support her claim, although the examples almost always come from her, personally, or her family. By recounting how she responded to certain toxins and was able to eliminate those responses by eliminating the toxin, the author supports her theories. Of course, you need more than one subject to conduct a study. That being said, I had some issues with this book. First, I get the impression it was not professionally edited, because it is in need of a good editor. There are minor spelling and grammar mistakes, but nothing overwhelming. Certain parts are very repetitive. While the author cites many sources throughout the book, they are all websites, and no information but the website URL is given in the citation. Wikipedia is even used as an occasional source. Wikipedia is a good starting point for information, but is not reliable and should not be cited as a credible source. I have an illness, and although I eat healthy, I think it's certainly possible that my illness was caused by a response to an additive or chemical that entered my body at some point in time. But I don't think we can make that blanket statement for every illness that ever existed throughout time in every living thing. I'm sure we all know that person who eats only organic, non-processed foods, doesn't use any toxic household chemicals, and knows every ingredient that goes into making every single thing, who still ends up coming down with a serious illness (breast cancer, in the case of my friend). Animals that live in the wild, away from civilization, still develop disease. Certainly not at the same rate as our domesticated pets to whom we feed processed pet food, but it still occurs. The author states it "...became clear that all disorders are the direct result of wrongdoing" and other similar claims throughout the book. That's a bold statement without any empirical evidence. I don't doubt that eliminating certain toxins from our diet and environment would help cure a lot of illnesses, but I have seen no evidence that it will cure every one. I certainly hope no one reading this book stops important medications they are taking based on what they read in this book alone, as that could have serious consequences. I could go on - I made numerous notes about the pros and cons of this book - but will refrain. I think people with unexplained illnesses would find this book very helpful, but it should be read with a dose of skepticism.
