Widow Olivia has her hands full with a job, often meddling sister Maddy, and four rambunctious boys and she does it all single handed. When threats toward her and her family, she reaches out to the arrogant officer that delivered the news of her late husband's accident years earlier. She'd been devastated by her already crumbling marriage when Tom had suddenly died. Because of this she's sworn off men and relationships until her sons are grown. Officer Gavin Rafferty does NOT want to be attracted Widow Olivia has her hands full with a job, often meddling sister Maddy, and four rambunctious boys and she does it all single handed. When threats toward her and her family, she reaches out to the arrogant officer that delivered the news of her late husband's accident years earlier. She'd been devastated by her already crumbling marriage when Tom had suddenly died. Because of this she's sworn off men and relationships until her sons are grown. Officer Gavin Rafferty does NOT want to be attracted to the strong willed, often temperamental Olivia, but he can't seem to help it. After an incident that left Olivia in need of security, something tied to her husband's death, he moves right in for her protection. He already can't get the beautiful widow out his mind, add her fun boys and he's a goner. As the threat closes in, the Olivia and Gavin try to explore their attraction. I have to admit, I was a little disappointed after a few hot kisses, that there would be little or no love scenes, though I understood Olivia's reasons. Despite that, I kept reading, I wanted to know what was going to happen to Olivia and her cute boys. The relationships between all the characters grew at the right pace, and it was fun and easy to read.
