Those distinctive violet eyes, that hair, that birthmark... Remembering his own feelings about being adopted, this owner of BeefCake, Inc. and sometime exotic dancer craves the connection of the one person on the planet who shares his genes. Of course, Trevor’s mom has pretty nice “jeans” as well, igniting a craving for a different kind of connection. Or reconnection, in spite of Bryan not remembering their first night together. But the proof is standing there in front of him, so it must have happened. Right? …So do fabulous gifts… On her deathbed, Trevor’s mother signed custody of her baby over to her half-sister, Jenna Corrigan. Since then, Jenna has worked hard to build a good life for herself and the boy who’s become the center of her world. Conceived by mistake after a one-night stand, Trevor’s father is listed as “unknown.” As far as Jenna’s concerned, he can stay that way. But one look at Bryan could lead Jenna to making the biggest mistake of her life. Those distinctive violet eyes, that hair, those come-kiss-me lips… Falling in love could be the biggest mistake of all… When Bryan mistakes Jenna for a hooker and she realizes he’s Trevor’s father, the mistakes and misunderstandings begin growing. But something else is also growing between them, too. Sometimes, one wrong turn can be oh so right…

2.5/5.0 What starts out as a chance meeting between Bryan and Trevor becomes an intriguing situation that catches the reader by surprise. Unfortunately the story begins to fall flat quickly as the unbelievable situations and choices pile up. I enjoyed the first book in this series but this one was just all over. I never could get past two really big plot points. First of all who just assumes someone is a prostitute that easily - sorry but that's not the first thing that comes to my mind. Then the fact that she decides to let him believe this for awhile and then even after that gets cleared up lets him believe she was a stripper he had a one night stand with makes absolutely no sense to me. I never really bought in to her reasons for I enjoyed the first book in this series but this one was just all over. I never could get past two really big plot points. Beefcake and Mistakes Bryan Lassiter Jenna Corrigan Sadly I can only stretch to 3 1/2 stars. Talk about jumping in boots and all! Boy did Bryan really assume a lot, and get it wrong! I was a bit confused by the whole story actually Why did Bryan just barge into Jenna's place and accuse her of Prostitution, without thinking about what he was doing? Then to make matters worse, once the couple got that cleared up,Jenna made up a huge lie about exactly who she was!! It just seemed all to weird. After reading Beefcake and Cupcakes, I went straight on to read this, but although I enjoyed the writing, and the story, I really didn't enjoy the overall concept. All the way through, I couldnt get my head around why Jenna didn't tell Bryan the truth, and by the end I was still unable to make head or tail of it. I enjoyed the characters, but not as much as Gabe and Lara, from Beefcake and Cupcakes. I just think I couldn't get past the huge pointless lie?!

I fall in Love with the cover, but I haven fallen more in love with the characters in this book especially Trevor. I will give a 5/5 rate to this book. I'm more into Fifty shades kind of book but this book got to my heart.I pick this book becuase I like books based on babies and children romance. Anyways, Love a Romance book and you should totally read it. Promise you won't waste your time. Oh by the way, if you wondering if you have to read the first book I don't thinks so I didnt. This, again was a great little read. Kept me interested. Fun and entertaining. Good beach, pool or just a summer get away book. I can't wait to explore more by Ms. Fennell.

So the first book in this series started with a misunderstanding so I figured that the mix up in this one would be funny or at least entertaining and quickly cleared up. Unfortunately, it was neither. I actually thought it was a bit ridiculous and went on way too long. I skimmed much of the beginning of the book because I wanted to see how it ended, other than the HEA. Well thank God for Moms, but I still think for all of the anxiety of what he would say/do, it was rather anti-climatic. I think the beefcake show ends for me now.
