I could compare Zimmerman to Erma Bombeck, except you might not remember Erma Bombeck, and besides, Zimmerman's funnier and doesn't have a filter. So that seems unfair. I could compare her to the Dysfunctional Family Circus, but that seems like I'm making fun of her. Zimmerman writes well, writes the truth, and has a funny family. She's writing often about first-world-problems but doesn't pretend that they're not. She's funny.

This book is laugh out loud funny, to the point that my children asked me to go in another room while I was reading it. I highly recommend it when your kids/life is getting you down and you need a pick me up!

I just loved this book. Very funny, especially if you are a busy mother like I am. I have faked my kids reading log multiple times. Boy number 3 asked me once if it was cheating. I looked him right in the eye and said, "No. Some days we just don't have enough time to get to everything, so we will use some of the hours we built up on weekends and vacations." he looked at me and said, "Oh, like roll over minutes." "Exactly." I said.

Absolutely funny, realistic Judy has a way with words, and her affection for her children comes through so clearly, even in her occasional exasperation. And, aren't we all exasperated sometimes? I love a mom story that understands we aren't all the perfect mom, but in the end, that doesn't matter.

I love this book! Finally a mom who isn't afraid to do or say what so many of us think. It's one of those books where you think you'll read a little bit and end up reading the whole thing in one sitting because it's so spot on and funny. I am lucky enough to have known Judy Zimmerman personally and what you read is how she lived her life. I pick it up now to bring her back and to laugh.
