A pretty good, no nonsense guide to preparing for the unexpected. It lacks the impending calamity and paranoia found in more modern works (which is much appreciated). While most of this is pretty easy to emolument with a little effort and time some of it is reduced to laughable simplicity (the biggest one being the occasional one line about whole home inventories or finances). The best thing about it is the admonition to just start somewhere, anywhere, as just about anything you do is momentum i A pretty good, no nonsense guide to preparing for the unexpected. Some preparedness books emphasize secrecy (if no one knows about your stashes of food and supplies, they won't steal them), which seems too negative to me.
