    Where to start? The book is rather small and can easily be read in one hour. Reading and digesting are of course two different things. Some of the poems are complex and to understand them you need to sit back and think about what you have just read and then read it again to make sure. It didn't appeal to me simply because when it comes to poems I am a Pam Ayres man. I like poems to be funny and meaningful rather than complex and thoughtful. This of course is personal preference. Summary; The overall complexity of the poems and the localised nature of them as a whole made it difficult to appreciate. For anyone without a degree in English or an exceptional understanding of the language I would leave it on the shelf. Worth a look but left me baffled.
