Thirty Days in September, is a grim tale, it is dark and shocking. The betrayal of a niece's physicality by her uncle at a very young age is a sorrow tale. The niece within a few years forgetting the thin line between relationships comes to enjoy this sexual experience. The mother remains silent when she sees her daughter finding enjoyment thus, and the former turns to God so that He helps the daughter. The betrayal is sad, and the mother' silence and not trying to confront the issue is escapist Thirty Days in September, is a grim tale, it is dark and shocking. The betrayal is sad, and the mother' silence and not trying to confront the issue is escapist and sadder than the betrayal. This play gave me a lot of goosebumps( so I guess, the playwright has succeeded).

Mahesh Dattani has relevantly presented the modern girl children and the bottled up feelings that they undergo....due to the misbehavior of their on blood relations. Though it is a play it made me think about the contemporary issues faced by the girls.Physicality of a girl child is supposed to be holy and pure until she commits herself in marriage , but in the play we see her own maternal uncle becomes the betrayer who drinks the blood of the innocent child. Even now in our domestic darkness the Mahesh Dattani has relevantly presented the modern girl children and the bottled up feelings that they undergo....due to the misbehavior of their on blood relations. Even now in our domestic darkness the children are under going such brutal inhuman experiences ....in rare case I feel even the mothers are careless in taking care of their responsibilities....hats off to Dattani for bringing out such a notion very keenly.
