Roy Thomas is still able to do a good adaptation of a classic. Many of the stories comprising the adventures of the musketeers was left out. That is as expected from such a lengthy original. I regret that more was not made of the depth of the characters. Thomas seems to shy away from penetrating looks into the characters. The artwork captured the time of the tale fairly well.

After having experienced "Moby Dick" in this format, I was inspired to look for more imprints from the Marvel Illustrated series. I enjoyed this one, but I do not think it is as good as the last one I read. I was able to find more of the illustrated classics and will be reading them. I also would like to find "The Man in the Iron Mask" to see how the story continues in this format. Although the illustrations are a bit dark, this graphic novel has enough adventure, deception, intrigue and (forbidden) romance that could peak a teen's interest into reading the original novel by Dumas. My dad made me read this one as he liked the story when he was young. Not bad - I would never have come across it. recommended

Buena adaptación, pero debería haber sido un poco más largo. Habían viajes completos que se resumieron en un diálogo de dos cuadros entre otros personajes que los comentaron de pasada.
