Yes, puppies...so put down all other books and start reading this one...because puppies! I'm glad we got that out of the way...now to my review. “Up there, wench. Sit on the edge and await my pleasure.” After the last somewhat disappointing Shadowland book If Only I was so ready to get a good Sinclair book again and my prayers were heard. I went in not expecting too much, especially since Rainie and Master Jake weren't on my radar at all. Classic case of not knowing you needed something until you had it in your hands and didn't want to let go ever again. Yes, it was that kind of awesome read. :D I loved it from beginning to end. Read it in pretty much one sitting, while getting a nice little sunburn at the beach. “God," she moaned. "I usually suggest Sir or Master, but I suppose God is adequately respectful.” Rainie Kuras is one of the Shadowland's trouble making trainees and she has been for a long time. Rainie has no illusions about her happily ever after and finding a permanent dom or even being in a relationship isn't high on her list of proprieties. Just recently she earned her MBA and right now she is working to get money and eventually find a well paying job far away from her hometown. Life has been cruel and disappointing for Rainie and taught her a long time ago that people have long memories and if she ever wants to be happy moving away and changing who she used to be is the way to go. I wonder if that logic is bullet proof. ;P ”Sir, I’m a big woman and mostly I like that. But society can be……cruel.” Jake Sheffield is a veterinarian, he served in the army and is of course one of the Masters at the Shadowlands. He has always kept Rainie in his sights, but for some unknown reason she has been avoiding him...until one morning she carries an injured puppy into the clinic he owns together with his best friend and fellow Shadowland Dom, Saxon. And to be honest, I think seeing her out of the club might have sparked his curiosity, because soon after he oversees the trainees for one night and he starts playing with her...and boy do they play...*coughs* Jake has some pretty neat tricks up his sleeve and he speaks Pirate fluently. Not to mention that he sees right through Rainie’s bullshit. *sighs* What follows is a beautiful friendship, lots of puppies and eventually more? OMG, could he be her HEA? Who knows? ;D “I really enjoy your shape. You’re a fantastic playground……some playgrounds only have swing sets. I suppose that’s all right, but in my opinion, the more the better. As it happens, I like the ones with slides.” He nuzzled her stomach. “And jungle gyms.” Cupping her breasts he teased the nipples taut again, then rose to his feet………”and merry-go-rounds.” He kneaded her full buttocks before whispering to her ear, “The playground that is your body could keep me entertained forever.” Yes, this book is cheesy as hell, and yes it made me feel warm and happy. So what? I've given up on judging a book by what I should think about it and just go with what my gut says and my gut is screaming to re-read Master Jake and Rainies's story. Deal with it! Here is a thing I love about the Shadowland Masters in general, they are non judgmental, they like women just the way they are and they won't stand for being self-conscious or hating your own body. That's such a good thing to read. Yes, Rainie is a big woman, but she is beautiful and she has a big heart and Jake wants her just the way she is. Haters gonna hate, but you have to live your own life...stand behind your choices and accept who you are, no matter what society tells you to be. Oh, and did I mention... we get to see old friends, there is a bachelorette party and a of course a wedding Shadowland style. Master Z meddling with the people around him and calling them by their full names. It's all too good to be true. Did I mention how much I love this series? Well, there you have it. :D

3.5 Stars I love the Masters of the Shadowlands series, it is one of my favorite in Contemporary Romance and this means that I have high expectations from Cherise Sinclair. This time she didn't rach the mark. I liked the book and I wanted to love it, but I just couldn't. I liked both Rainie and Jake individually very much. They are strong characters, driven, compassionate, loving. But as a couple they didn't work for me. There was no chemistry whatsoever. Maybe if the book was longer I would have 3.5 Stars I love the Masters of the Shadowlands series, it is one of my favorite in Contemporary Romance and this means that I have high expectations from Cherise Sinclair. Maybe if the book was longer I would have grown to like them together but in this novella it didn't happen. And I do know it can be done because Z's and Jessica's book was short too but they made sense as a couple. -1 star for the connection I couldn't see. The other -0,5 star is for the candle scene. To me it felt too intrusive. There was no preparation beforehand for what was to come. In the previous books the Dom discussed the things he would demand from the Sub and got permission. Jake took answers from Rainie without asking how she felt about it first. Marcus did the same to Gabi but she at least was angree at him after it. Rainie took the intrusion in stride. Still the book had a lot going for it. Cherise Sinclair's writing, which was as good as ever, hot sex scenes and glimpses into the other characters' lives that were precious to me. I absolutely loved the double wedding and how Rainie dealed with the Bitch Queens (Galen's and Gabi's mothers). PS. Although a Domme-sub relationship does little for me, I really want to read Mistress Anne's book. And if she ends up with Ben, all the better. (view spoiler)[ How had I missed the blurb?? It's Jake and Rainie!!! It also comes out in August!! I can't wait for summer this year!! (hide spoiler)]

Most of the previously single Shadowlands Masters now have their chosen submissive. When Z mentions something about Rainie's issue as a submissive, Jake is the man to take her in hand. For those who want a sweet romance, this is the story to read. Jake is Rainie's knight in shining armor. He defends her and protects her. His greatest strength is also his downfall. Ms. Sinclair does an excellent job of creating a character flaw in Jake, making him more real. She does the same with Rainie. Both characters are charming and loveable. This makes for a pleasurable read because the reader doesn't want to keep slapping one of the characters upside the head. Rainie's history is not ideal. What is frustrating about her situation is how real to life it can be. The way people are judgmental and hold Rainie's past against her is disgusting and pathetic. For someone like Rainie who is a people pleaser, it's even more hurtful and damaging. The shallow vanity several minor characters in this story exhibit is disgusting and explains Rainie's desire to get away and start fresh. The surprising twist is Jake's issue. It just goes to show, every story has two sides. Jake's last submissive chose her career of him. When she returns for a visit and explains to him about her decision, he's shocked and begins to understand how his actions come across. Ms. Sinclair uses this to highlight how important open communication is in a relationship. Communication is key in a relationship regardless of the vanilla or kinky lifestyle. The BDSM in the story is delightful as always. Ms. Sinclair does show the better and more romantic side of BDSM. She also makes good points about BDSM which may give those just starting into the lifestyle more insight.   He wouldn’t allow disobedience and really would enforce his rules. The knowledge was…devastatingly erotic. (pg. 71) This one line captures a concept many who are just joining into the lifestyle don't grasp immediately. Enforcing the rules with discipline be it physical or not, it's comforting and erotic. Why? Because for submissives, it indicates the dominant cares. There is something about a dominant holding me accountable which makes me weak in the knees and a wave of submissive desire radiates through my body from the center out. Ms. Sinclair shows this through Rainie in this book. This I can relate to and thoroughly enjoy. The relationships between the friends in this story also makes it a lovely read. How they support each other. How they love each other. And most importantly, how they stick up and defend each other which is a blast to read. This is an altogether sweet romance and recommended for kinky readers who love a happily ever after. *provided by BDSM Book Reviews

I like this book better. Miss Sinclair usually writes story with too many BDSM/ kinky sex and not enough story. In Show Me , Baby, she put a story and character into it. I like Jack. He is such mysterious hero. Toward the end he turns out to be intense, sexy, alpha male character. Good thing this story does not have stalker twist on it. The BDSM/ kinky is good as usual. After all this is Miss Sinclair book. I am quite entertained with this book. 4 stars

A story that touches on Insecurities, trust, and the balance between giving and taking. While I am used to the Shadowlands to have additional plots twists, this stayed on track focusing on the couple and their own personal issues they needed to overcome to be happy. It takes the right person to fight for you and accept you for who you are and that is what Rainie and Jake are to each other, they just needed to open their eyes and see it for them selves. Oh and I can't forget about the Bachelorette party, freaking hilarious! A wonderful novella to add to the Shadowlands series.

This novella didn't have the feel of a Masters of the Shadowlands for me. I liked the glimpses from the other characters, but the main characters... not so much. Their relationship felt strained. 2nd read: I still feel like I did the first time I read it...

I was beyond stoked! They were two characters we saw but didn't get a ton about, and Cherise Sinclair really hit the nail head on with this one. I loved their story and adored watching them fall in love. Bring a fan because Cherise Sinclair is heating up the pages! Holy shite are there some hot scenes in this one! Jake is . . . quite the inventive Dom at times. That is for sure. I really just want more from all my favorite Shadowlands characters. I want to see how everyone is doing, how the honeymoon's work out, and particularly now I want to see how a particular pregnant character is doing and if her kids turns out being a boy or girl, and all that good stuff. I know there hasn't been any announced yet, but I am beyond in need for another Shadowlands book (or 6).

Is there such a thing as 'feel good BDSM' ? Because I feel like that's what Cherise Sinclair writes. Her doms are always caring, protective cuddlers, and the heroines are always just feisty enough to make you root for them, but not so feisty that you want to smack them upside the head. This one featured a veterinarian storyline (SO CLOSE TO MY HEART AS A BUDDING CRAZY CAT LADY) and I adored it. So fun. Only 2.99. I could get used to this. (PS Mom, this is not your bag)

Admittedly, this is the first of Cherie’s works that I have read and oh boy…I am hooked and have just purchased the entire series! To say Rainie has had a sad life would be the understatement of the century. Having a mother who didn’t want her, a father who left her at seven, living in foster care homes with one in particular that left deep emotional scars, and never really feeling she was good enough to fit in anywhere, you could say her issues cup overfloweth. But she was determined. Determined to rise above all of the adversity in her life and become someone. She finally finished school with an MBA and has found a place where she felt she somewhat belonged…Cub Shadowlands. Sure, she still had her issues and she was still new to the BDSM scene, but she knew deep down this was a home of sorts for her. Only problem? Jake. The delish Dom was a blast from the past she was trying to forget. He was her secret crush all of high school. He had no idea who she was back then and just seeing him now brought back too much pain. But even that pain couldn’t stop her attraction to him. Even after all these years, he was still everything she wanted. But surely he wouldn’t be interested in someone with a past like hers…..or would he? Jake has it all. A successful career as a veterinarian, a nice home, a position as a Master at Club Shadowlands, good looks and a killer body. There’s only one thing missing…a woman to share his life with. His last lover had left him and even though it still stung, he was ready to move on. And the one he’d like to move on is the sassy and beautiful new trainee at the club…Rainie. There was something about her. She had a lust for life, was loyal and kind to her friends she’s made at Club Shadowlands and had a huge heart. Now, if inly she would give him the time of day. Seems when it came to him she was always taking off in the opposite direction. Luckily for him, she was in need of a reevaluation and he was just assigned the Dom in charge of it. This was exactly the opportunity he needed to convince Rainie to take a chance on him. Rainie and Jake take off on a journey of self discovery and stumble across love along the way. The question is, will Rainie be able to shake her feelings of unworthiness and give a relationship with Jake a chance? Oh my, I adored this story. Rainie broke my heart. Her childhood was positively wretched and I felt so bad for her. I also totally understood her feelings of being less than everyone. No one really ever told her she wasn’t so how could she think anything different? But her resolve and strength was admirable beyond words. She picked herself up, brushed herself off and kept on going. She is amazing that way. She is also fiercely loyal to her friends and I adore that in a character. Jake is just, um, totally drool worthy. He is handsome, successful, charming and commanding. The total package. He knows Rainie better than she ever thought and he gives her all of what she needs. And damn, it is beyond smoking hot! Together they make an incredible couple. Giving each other what they other need and forming a beautiful emotional connection. Of course, there are a few stumbles along the way but that just makes this story that much better. So here I am, proof that even if you haven’t read this series before, you will love this book and this was a great intro to The Masters of Shadowlands. I can’t wait to read more of this series! Thank you, Cherise, for Jake and Rainie and their amazing story. This review can also be found on www.Read-Love-Blog.com

I liked the balance of strength and vulnerability in both characters. Rainie was a business savvy and smart woman, loyal to her friends, had a soft heart, and was confident of her fuller figure...however, past insecurities had a way of rearing their ugly head and making her second guess things. She grew up a chubby girl in foster care with little money, and a bunch of high school losers who liked to bully her because of that. Since then, those wounds have healed, but the scars are still there. On top of that she was burned by her last boyfriend when he introduced her to his family and they were quick to judge her based on her upbringing, deeming her unworthy and undesirable trash. And he was just as quick in dismissing and dumping her after that. Jake is a man who loves big and deep...however, his mentor taught him that men must be men. They can never rely on anyone, show no weakness, show no emotion...never be vulnerable. Never give anyone the sense they are needed. Wanted, sure. But never needed. And his last girlfriend chose her career over him, proving to him that you can never rely on anyone sticking around. Jake and Rainie's chemistry was terrific, but both were fearful to trust that the other wouldn't leave for one reason or another...either because of the embarassment of being with someone with a less than idyllic past, or because they'll choose other things over love. While I really enjoyed Jake and Rainie's chemistry, the evolution of their relationship was a little bumpy for me. They went from "just one night" to a relationship in the blink of an eye. Rainie went from not wanting to get attached to Jake, to practically living with him from one chapter to the next. And Jake's realization that his mentor was all wrong was a little to quick and easy for my liking. Overall, an enjoyable read that gave me two new characters to root for, a double wedding to attend, and a sadistic Mistress and vanilla bodyguard to look forward to. I can't wait for Mistress Anne and Ben's book! Oh! And before I forget....I'd like to give 10 stars to all the furry secondary characters in this story!

They’re listed in the spoiler. (view spoiler)[ Rainie’s need to run away from her past. I can understand why this would make someone want to leave their hometown. Absolutely. What made it come off as contrived is we’re constantly told how and why she needs to leave, but every time she’s confronted with her past (and it’s seriously only a handful of times), she handles it mostly perfect and shakes it off almost right away. I find it a bit hard to believe that someone would willingly leave everything behind that makes her happy because the occasional insult is thrown her way. Her life in general is not equal to that level of distress. She has great friends, a great attitude and vibrancy, and she’s so sweet that people naturally gravitate to her. I missed the Shadowlands. In such a short story, without the Shadowlands, it kind of just came off as a regular run-of-the-mill romance. Granted, I still loved it because it had the spice of a BDSM relationship and it was funny as hell at some points, but it seemed a bit out of place with the series. Lastly, Jake’s situation of never showing weakness. I kind of felt like this quality was just thrown in there to exacerbate Rainie’s situation, and falsely make her feel as though he doesn’t need her because she’s not good enough to give him what he needs. In a longer novel, this could have easily been developed really well, but in a shorter book, it seemed kind of contrived. So much is being fit into such a short length that these little issues have no room to breathe, so they seem to just pop up whenever some strife or conflict is needed, instead of being deeply rooted in the characters. Also, this attitude of feeling like you can never show weakness didn’t fit with Jake’s persona otherwise. He’s a vet, obviously compassionate. He’s a Dom, and a Master no less. He should be one of the few men who understand the give-and-take requirement for a successful relationship. (hide spoiler)] Aside from those things, this was still a lovely story. There was a lot of honesty in character development and as usual, this author didn’t hold back. This book, despite the quick realizations that would normally take longer to come to in life or a longer novel, for such a short read, a lot really was packed in nicely. And it must also be noted, and other reviews have said this too; this series has been such a great portrayal of the BDSM lifestyle. I’ll admit, I didn’t know much about it before. I knew about it from an outsider looking in kind of way. I never looked down on it but it still seemed like a whole other world to me. I even looked things up as I read through the book, finding that this author has got a firm grasp on its intricacies. This aspect is near the top of the things I most enjoyed. I definitely learned so much. And my FAVORITE part!!! Ugh. This part could NOT have been more perfect. So incredibly sweet. The whole Princess Bride thing. Jake noticed she was a romantic and just handed that little morsel of goodness over to Rainie with zero pretense. I wish they’d played with that more. Alas, good things in moderation I s’pose. I would say that this is one of the most memorable moments in the whole series for me. Yes, it was that sweet. Anyway, overall, I liked this book. I loved Jake. Rainie was a sweetheart. I think the hangups I have about it are due to its length. This author has proven that she can develop a story well, if given the room. I am so going to miss this series...at least until I reread it. Because I totally will. :D Happy Reading! ********************************************** This review has been revised. If this message appears on a review, it's because I edited the f**k out of it because I either didn't like it, I trashed the author's work too much and felt I was too harsh, my review was wordy to the point of wanting to even knock my own lights out, my outlook on the book has changed, or I just didn't want to delete a review I once painstakingly wrote that was liked, commented on, or for the most part true. I'm overwhelmed at how different of a reader I am now versus when I started my Goodreads page. My reading habits were fairly narrow once upon a time, and I felt like putting a disclaimer on every review I've written that needed editing was easier than going through every single book again, and doing entire re-reviews. I'll be slowly doing this across my reviews in the coming year so it will better reflect me as a reader now. Thanks for visiting! **********************************************

Edit 2nd reading Rainie is a trainee at the Shadowlands. She is a BBW and quite a brat, and even though she seems confident, she actually hides a painful past and image issues. I liked this book, and liked that for once the heroine is a BBW but actually confident in her skin and no mouse. The main thing that bothered me was how she seemed to run into the same mean people from highschool at every corner, who kept insulting her like it was still highschool.... I think her issues could have surfaced differently. I still enjoyed it, Jake was as dreamy and take charge as we come to expect from the Masters, and I loved the scenes with the other characters (Gabi and Sally's bachelorette party + their wedding) *** This was a good story, but it didn't rock my world like some of her other books did. Once again, I found it too similar to other books she has written before. I would like more innovation, new storylines. Here I felt like I was re-reading some of her work.

Had some good moments. Started very slowly and then, worst of all, the end action was launched by the seriously annoying "I'm not worthy" trope. But ultimately, not a bad read, just not up to the better books of this series.

Again another amazing addition to the series has been made. I wish Mistress Anne would get her own book

I normally enjoy Cherise Sinclair's Shadowlands series, but for some reason, this story felt flat compared to the others. I enjoyed Rainie — she was a female lead with a painful past who overcame that to achieve greater things. She stands up to the patriarchy, and she's a true feminist. She stands up for women. The male lead, on the other hand, didn't have enough time devoted to him, and maybe that's why the romance/attraction between the two felt forced. He supposedly has his fair share of baggage too, like how his previous fiance dumped him for her career, but it could have been covered better. From the looks of it, he was a decent guy; everything pointed to that. But there was no real connection. Most of this book happened outside of Club Shadowlands, and while it's nice that Sinclair is changing the setting, the setting is the reason why this series is popular. Fans love the series because they're set in Club Shadowlands. That was a bit disappointing. It took longer than usual to finish this Sinclair book, but onward with the rest of the series. Sinclair's novels are the one guilty pleasure I allow myself. ;)

Part of the Master of the Shadowlands series, Jake and Rainie fall in love amidst the wedding of Marcus and Gabi and Vance/Sally/Galen. Part of the series, and I don’t think this would work as well if you don’t know the series at all, lots of characters from earlier books are referred to and make appearances. The Good -a Cherise Sinclair book - I will always buy and read. -loved the glimpse into the lives of the other couples from previous books -Princess Bride references, which I can never resist. - Part of the Master of the Shadowlands series, Jake and Rainie fall in love amidst the wedding of Marcus and Gabi and Vance/Sally/Galen. Her insecurities stemmed from her white trash beginnings. -Funny bits in between the sexy times The Meh This is hard because I love Cherise Sinclair and I usually love the Shadowlands books, but this story was just a bit….off. There were so many things in this that I would normally love, but the lynchpin of any story is the chemistry between the leads and here, I just didn’t buy into the fantasy all the way. It was lacking a bit of spark. It certainly felt as if all the explanations as to why they should work were there, but I honestly was more intrigued as to who Saxon is going to hook up with than Rainie and Jake. The Bottom Line Ultimately, I just didn’t love it like I normally do. It was an okay read. If you’ve never read the Masters of the Shadowlands series, I wouldn’t start with this one.

5 Big Beautiful Stars I love this series! No one does BDSM romance like Cherise Sinclair. Rainie hasn't has an easy life. She was abandoned by her parents, had an awful foster care experience, and worse, but she still managed to finish college and grad school. She's always had it in her head she needed to be "more" in order to find true love, but she completely missed the part where she did become "more" and she's a beautiful and wonderful human being. She may not see it, but Jake definitely does 5 Big Beautiful Stars I love this series! No one does BDSM romance like Cherise Sinclair. Rainie hasn't has an easy life. She may not see it, but Jake definitely does. He loves her body and her mind and her soul. It was beautiful. Jake isn't all perfect, though. He has it in his head that a Dom should never need to lean on anyone. A Dom is supposed to be strong and never show weakness. Silly man, showing someone they are needed isn't a weakness - it's a strength. It takes a while for that bit of wisdom to make it past his thick skull. Jake and Rainie were so perfect for one another. Everyone else saw it long before they did themselves, but isn't that nearly always the case? Show Me, Baby was an excellent addition to Shadowlands. Who's next? Holt? Anne? We're certainly running out of trainee submissives, but maybe Anne could be hooked up with a certain bartender? He seemed eager to please. ;)

This was a great addition to the Club Shadowlands series. I really enjoyed seeing Jake and Rainie together. Jake is just the person Rainie needs to get passed her past and him not knowing that she had a crush on him years earlier made it even sweeter. *3,5 stars* This one was a fun, sweet and sexy easy read not too heavy on the BDSM side. Jake is our usual gorgeous Dom with a little twist and Rainie is a big size mischievous submissive. If she's comfortable with her size she isn't so much with her white trash origins. I'm not a fan of insecure heroines who care about what people think or say about them, but the fact that she's also strong made it work and I found that they were a good match. Good 4.25 ⭐️ I really enjoyed this one I loved Rainie in the previous books and that didn’t diminish in her own book. I love the playfulness of Rainie and the fact that the masters all know that she plays the best pranks to get back at them when they do something she doesn’t like. It was great to see that the masters were still worrying about her, like Sam checking up and making sure she was telling her Dom what she wanted. I also liked that she was only looking for a Dom for times in the bedroom Good 4.25 ⭐️ I really enjoyed this one I loved Rainie in the previous books and that didn’t diminish in her own book. I enjoyed watching them work out their relationship with the help of their furry companions. Jake had his own set of issues that created problems but he was willing to learn and do what was necessary to keep Rainie

Wow! This was such a great story. It had plenty of depth, two lovable leads that you cheered for and was incredibly sexy. This works fine as a standalone, and I'd certainly recommend this to readers who enjoys an alpha hero and strong heroine who fight for their HEA.

Ms. Sinclair has delivered yet another pleasurable story in the Shadowlands series. I had preordered Show Me, Baby back in January and woke to a delightful surprise on my Kindle yesterday. I had preordered Show Me, Baby back in January and woke to a delightful surprise on my Kindle yesterday. Unfortunately I hadn't planned for its arrival and I had other reviews I needed to complete. And while I tried to stick to my schedule, I just couldn't do it ... Ms. Sinclair proved to be too much temptation and I bumped it to the front of my reading list last night and I am so glad I did. I absolutely loved Rainie and Jake's story. Like many of the women from previous installments in the series, Rainie is a bundle of insecurities and has major self-esteem issues. She has a bad past and has made mistakes that she regrets, but she has worked hard to rise above that and has just completed her MBA program. She plans to move out of state so that she can start fresh where no one knows her or her background as there are so many people in her life who refuse to let her forget it. Enter Jake, a Master at Shadowlands who indirectly affected her life years ago and whose entry into her life was unfortunately paired with a rather traumatic event, so Rainie does her best to avoid him whenever possible. But torrential rains, an irresponsible driver, an injured dog, and fate have different plans in store for her and shove her right into Jake’s path. I must admit that I don’t recall meeting Jake prior to this book. Normally I would have reread the last book or two to get me back in the Shadowlands, but as I didn’t realize the release date was NOW, I didn’t have time to do so. Fortunately, Ms. Sinclair does a great job of writing this series as stand-alone books that are enriched when read together, yet completely enjoyable if you read them out of order (but why would you want to). Needless to say, it was easy to fall for Jake – who had his own baggage despite his more privileged upbringing. He’s a nice guy who is down-to-earth and respectful of others, which is why he hasn’t pursued Rainie despite his attraction. But as they spend more time together and he realizes that she is attracted to him, all bets are off and Jake shelves the nice-guy persona and introduces Rainie to his full Dom persona, Master Jake. Of course, she finds she can no longer deny him and doesn’t that just make for some spontaneous-combustion level sex scenes. Oh if only the Shadowlands were real. As something worth having is worth fighting for, Jake does what all good Masters of Shadowlands do and fights for his girl with everything he’s got, thus making Show Me, Baby a book I enjoyed from beginning to end. Ms. Sinclair has given her fans an excellent addition to the series with Jake and Rainie’s story. While Rainie shares some of the characteristics and similar history with the other ladies of Shadowlands, I never felt like Ms. Sinclair was recycling another character. She manages to make all of her characters individuals despite their similarities to others within her books, just like people in real life. And her ability to create such realistic characters is what makes her books so enjoyable. As I expected, Show Me, Baby has been added to my re-read list and I am looking forward to the next book in the series already … Uzuri or Anne, Uzuri or Anne, Uzuri or Anne, oh it really doesn’t matter, just please write quickly.

This series never fails to have me inhaling every word written and just indulging in the brilliance that is Cherise Sinclair. Every instalment provides raw emotion; romance, passion and great characters. I can’t really fault any story in this series and highly recommend it. I’ve enjoyed them all, some more than others sure, but there’s no question that this is one of the best BDSM series out there. As always, in my opinion, this series should be read in order as it centres round the BDSM club – This series never fails to have me inhaling every word written and just indulging in the brilliance that is Cherise Sinclair. I’ve enjoyed them all, some more than others sure, but there’s no question that this is one of the best BDSM series out there. As always, in my opinion, this series should be read in order as it centres round the BDSM club – Shadowlands and you form a relationship with all the characters along the way. I loved Show Me, as not only did we get Master Jake and Rainie’s story we also had Gabi and Sally’s joint bachelorette party and wedding which was so bloody sexy and funny! Catching up with the whole gang was brilliant, I love them all and I never fail to immerse myself fully in their world every time I pick a new story up. It always feels like I’m coming home to spend time with friends when I pick up a new book in this series. ‘He’d saved her….He made her feel special.’ Master Jake was LUSH; every Dom in Shadowlands has that attractive sexy protective nature, the addictive passionate raw sexuality. Well, Jake also had a romantic streak with a hint of vulnerability and a nurturing side. Jake is perfection in a complete package, oh and add to that, a bit of a filthy mouth. And Rainie, well what can I say? She felt so real and this is something that’s a given in most of Cherise Sinclair’s stories. The heroines are people you ‘know’; their inner struggles completely believable. It makes reading their journeys that much more heart-warming and you can’t help but empathise, feel and rejoice with them in their journey to find their perfect Master. ‘Everyone had let her down. In a way he’d been part of her trauma. That ugly revelation still grated through his system.’ Rainie had such insecurities and suffered the after effects of a traumatic childhood. Yet her loyalty and strength was quite something. She showed that she’s so much more than the sassy and naughty trainee sub at Shadowlands. “God,” she moaned. “I usually suggest Sir or Master, but I suppose God is adequately respectful.” Show Me is a novella and in a way I felt that a little bit. Not for character development or storyline though. I just wish we’d had more background on Jake and Rainie as well as more ‘afters’. We got some but I’d have loved more. And my oh my….Master Marcus…my favourite Shadowlands Dom is back and I loved every scene he was in, being back with my man…..swooning and reminiscing. Made me want to re-read his story! Now, I’m not sure whose story’s next but I’m hoping its Mistress Anne’s!!! Bring it on…. ♣ ♣ ♣ ♣
