I have to admit that I am a sucker for books which involve vintage aircraft. For the most part I enjoyed this book, even though in places it did read a bit like the old commando comics that I used to read when growing up. I did think that the characters were quite well thought out, but I ended up feeling that there were some threads left hanging. The ending did feel a little rushed

First let me say, I do not typically read books on this subject and only did so to be able to discuss the story with my 14 year old son who chose this book for school. Now let me continue by saying the book had scenes I enjoyed and many scenes I did not enjoy. The subject matter was very interesting and the action scenes were stimulating. However, I found many areas throughout that just bored me to sleep. For me, some of the details sucked the life out of the story even though I understand why they were included. My biggest frustration while reading? The abundance of errors. Words used twice. The wrong pronouns. Extra words mistakenly added. And at one point, a talking character was labeled incorrectly. I actually had to re-read several sentences throughout this book twice in order to make heads or tails of what was transpiring. Now with that, I should say I read this in e-book format. I have no idea what the print version is like. If you enjoy books of this subject matter you may enjoy this story just fine. Some may even overlook the errors. For me, the errors far outweighed my delight.

I am a big fan of WWII stories and found Attack Hitler's Bunker to be a well written and meticulously researched book set in WWII England. Author Lazlo Ferran has masterfully put together an interesting cast of characters who interact to bring you a look at everyday life in the European theater of the war. The aerial combat sequences are excellently written and kept me on edge throughout the book.
