Introduction was a very good chapter on journalism and is surprisingly relevant in the era of the "fake news" polemic. The rest of the book reads like how a late Victorian would see women doing journalism. Bennett is not overtly misogynistic but also sounds patronizing towards the women audience he seeks to address and so most of the book seems an artifact of the Late Victorian era(published in 1898) Introduction was a very good chapter on journalism and is surprisingly relevant in the era of the "fake news" polemic.
