    This book gives a clear, thought-provoking explanation of current theories of pain neuroscience. It goes back to basics, so for those already familiar with the nervous system and pain/nociception signals, there will be some redundancy. Perhaps my favorite feature of this book, though, is a long section in which the concepts are put into lay language for use in explaining these ideas to patients.
