Anyone who lives in or travels to New Mexico understands that it is a place unlike anywhere else. Extremely unlike anywhere else. These true tales, brief and fast-moving, paint a unique portrait of a unique land. They are told by a multiple-award-winning writer, who found his home in New Mexico decades ago and has been telling its story ever since. If you too feel New Mexico's spell, then welcome to . . . This is the book “The Lightning Field” isn’t! Witty and eccentric, it captures the weirdness that is New Mexico (trust me people, you have no idea). I have been following the bronze foot now for years and I never get tired of telling this story. And there are many more. The tales are true and written in a breezy light-hearted way. Finally, all the stories the locals ‘tell’ have been written down. Well, some of them at least. There are a lot more.
