    Marketing is the key factor to attracting & retaining customers, the bottom line (meeting customer’s needs) for any business. Key employees play a very vital role in in company strategy (mission statement, promotion, advertising, media section, sales promotion, public relations). Marketers (highly creative campaign developer, extremely analytical customer data gathering & number cruncher’s) goals are to develop/implement promotional materials to sell the company’s products and/or services (resea Marketing is the key factor to attracting & retaining customers, the bottom line (meeting customer’s needs) for any business. Weighing the +, - are vitally important. Surveys & focus groups (segmenting, targeting, positioning, S-T-P) are used quite frequently. Technology is a key factor. Customer relationship management (CRM) is still used. Business management was my undergrad. My son (supervisor in flood claims) & son-in-law (is in marketing for Hill’s dog food) both have their MBA’s. My BFM & several of his brothers & the only sister are ISU graduates. Go Hawkeyes. Cool book cover, font & writing style. A great business oriented well written book (short story) Easy to read/follow, never a dull moment. No grammar errors, or out of line sequence sentences.     This is a great book covering the basics of marketing for business. Many business owners don't have a marketing background and so don't necessarily understand how critical marketing is to business success. This book describes how the different parts of marketing work together. There's just enough information to get a grasp of the topic and so it's not overwhelming to the reader. Well-written, straight-forward, and easy to understand.

On its 16 pages the author managed to present enough information for people who run their businesses while not having a marketing background though nowadays itÂ’s a necessity for almost all types of human activities. Using it people who are not marketing specialists will be able to understand marketing principles and understand the importance of marketing actions tha "‘Marketing as a Business System"’ written by Neil Kokemuller is simple and concise review of the basics of marketing for business. On its 16 pages the author managed to present enough information for people who run their businesses while not having a marketing background though nowadays itÂ’s a necessity for almost all types of human activities. Using it people who are not marketing specialists will be able to understand marketing principles and understand the importance of marketing actions that should be carried out if we expect success in our business. Therefore I can recommend this accessible, well-made and easy to understand short guide for marketing for all those people that donÂ’t consider marketing as known area, though they already found themselves in situations when they realized its importance.
