This is some of my best work, if I do say so myself. :)

Amy Denim takes the mystery and fear out of writing a business plan. As a writer, my right creative brain is clearly dominant, making things like business plans and marketing strategies sound like foreign languages. Amy Denim’s step-by-step guide, which focuses on business plans specifically for writers, is set up to be done in small increments…literally on a coffee break. She makes the process simple and totally do-able. Her clear, concise, and entertaining style makes this a must-read for anyon Amy Denim takes the mystery and fear out of writing a business plan. Such a hands on how to book! I've been wanting to create a business plan for my writing business but never knew how to adapt the old templates into something that worked for me. This is so helpful! I can't wait to get started. Such a hands on how to book! I had the privilege of hearing Amy speak on this subject at a local chapter meeting of the Romance Writers of America. The presentation was so valuable that I promptly purchased the book. I've done what Amy probably wouldn't approve and read straight through the book without (yet) doing the exercises. Yes, it's that engaging. At times I laughed out loud. At a business book! Now I'll go back and enjoy every minute of creating my writing business plan with this simple, step-by-step guide and the great resources the author includes in her website. If you are a writer, an aspiring writer or a writer-in-progress, get this book and do this now! Especially valuable for self-published authors, who may often operate in a vacuum.

(Copy received in exchange for an honest review.) This might be a good book for anyone who'd considered writing SOLELY in terms of putting words on paper. If, however, you've put any thought into the mechanics, logistics and business of being a writer -- how to find an agent, whether to go self-published, how much energy you could put toward a series, etc. -- then most of what's here will be stuff that you either thought of on your own, or read on one of those business-of-being-a-writer blogs. There's nothing here that isn't dealt with at far greater length, and with far more expertise, on the blogs of Dean Wesley Smith and Kristine Kathryn Rusch.
