Now it seems a far from likely choice as everyone just knows superheros and marvel and dc. It was a very good season 1 story. The favourite tunnel people were here. Including the artist from Ozymandis who I always wished would return in the show and never did! The idea of Vincent having a previously undiscovered talent for art may be a little far fetched, but it fits into the Renaissance Man ideals of his character. It was a sweet story and an homage to Catherine which I loved. The irony being however that Wendy could NOT draw Catherine to look even remotely like Linda Hamilton. Which is a shame because otherwise this would have been 5 stars. It was a big departure from her line drawing style of Elf Quest, some bits worked and some didn't. But I'm very glad to have bought another copy of this and read it again decades later.

Vincent seeks out solitude so he can create a portrait of his love, Catherine. The art in this is soft and beautiful (no surprise since it's by Wendy Pini whose 'Elfquest' books have given me years of enjoyment). I was a big fan of the Beauty and the Beast TV show when it was on, and this book does a good job capturing the zeitgeist. The story was bland and dull, though, making the overall experience two stars.

Beauty and the Beast: Portrait of Love is Based on the TV show created by Ron Koslow starring Linda Hamilton and Ron Perlman. If you were a fan of the TV Series and was as sad to see it end as I was, this 56-page square bound "prestige" graphic novel might alleviate some of your yearning. Wendy Pini tells a tale that fits well within the overall mytho, and her art is very nice, somewhat reminiscent of her work of Elfquest.

Beauty and the Beast: Portrait of Love Pini, Wendy never knew of this comic books existed. . it captures some of the magic of the series... the words that stir the soul in there utterances and reciting... emil said the music for the series should have got an oscar... i think its the writing that should have had the awards... the comic book shows the glory of the writing.
