3.5--Please Don't Hate Me--Stars!! But this one fell a little flat for me. I'm afaid it suffered from the dreaded sophomore slump. I was so excited for this book and more Gabi, Braden, Bruno and the gang. IDK--but this one just wasn't as funny, wasn't as HOT and wasn't as entertaining for me. I felt like I was being told what was happening and not experiencing and feeling it. I don't remember that being the case in The Law of Attraction. Home Court Advantage picks up where Law of Attraction left off. Gabi has been receiving anonymous threatening notes. She and Braden are engaged. Honestly there just was not a lot happened in this book. And I found myself drifting and distracted. I might have even skimmed parts of it....I know, I know shame on me. I just personally don't think this needed to be a two book story...just make the first book a little bit longer. Both books in the series are only around 200 pages. The concept was great. I loved the adventures in Law of Attraction. Yes, the mystery letter writer debacle is solved in this book but that's really about it. There were definitely a few LOL moments but it almost felt forced in this book. I would have loved more dialogue amongst the characters, more dirty talk from Braden....IDK just more. I'm still a fan of N.M. Silber and will definitely read other future books. I do believe this completes the Lawyers in Love series though other characters may get their own books....which I have been told WILL BE standalones. I definitely recommend this series if you're looking for something quick and fun and sexy.

4 Sweet and Nutty Stars. In this second book, we have Braden and Gabrielle engaged and trying to start a new life together. But the unresolved mystery from the first book can’t seem to leave them alone. Finding each other in the middle of a stalker that won’t leave them alone and in the middle of a conspiracy that are trying their best to keep them apart. So, how can they move ahead where there are people so driven in stepping them back? First, let me tell you a thing: everyone and everything in 4 Sweet and Nutty Stars. So, how can they move ahead where there are people so driven in stepping them back? First, let me tell you a thing: everyone and everything in this book is completely nuts. Beginning with their jobs and cases in courts, passing through their relationships and ending in themselves, everything is bat-s*** crazy in this book. But is the kind of crazy that just sweeps you in and you can’t help but laugh and want to belong to their world, even for just a few hours. So, basically, if you’re in need of a few laughs, you can’t miss this. Rating: 4 Stars. Storyline: Funny story with several unexpected twists. A very enjoyable reading. Writing Style: First person, female POV. Completely addictive. Character Development: Apart from the craziness of every one of them, you will love them all. It’s impossible not to. Steam: Hot. 5 Laugh My Ass Off Stars I have no idea how it happened but I ended up liking this one even better than the first one. This book is funny as hell and I loved reading an entertaining story about a couple that managed to be angst free. I love me some well written drama but once in awhile it's refreshing to read a book that's free of unnecessary misunderstandings. For enjoyment reasons alone I'm giving this one 5 stars. Now onto Lily and Adam's story! 5 Laugh My Ass Off Stars I have no idea how it happened but I ended up liking this one even better than the first one. The Home Court Advantage picks up right were the first book ends (The Law Of Attraction) Braden asked Gabrielle to marry him, and they are still trying to figure out who is sending the threatening notes and following her. The court cases get wackier and the sexy times are off the charts with these two. We also meet a new character, another friend of Gabrielle from college who works at The Court's library; her name is Lily and she is a lawyer by day and a romance writer by night, her and Braden's friend Adam know each other since childhood and are always bickering about something. So this crazy gang will get into lots of more trouble and in the end love and friendship will make their struggles seem like nothing but a wild ride. If you are looking for a sexy and funny read this are the books for you, the writing is amazing and smart and not fluffy in any way. Get into the right side of the law with this crazy counselors and be ready for a good time! PS. I loved Bruno the Chihuahua so much that I'm thinking about getting one or maybe becoming president of the fan club for this super cute pet and I'm even having t-shirts done that say Tiny but Powerful Bruno on the front and I love Chihuahuas on the back. *wink

Silber surpassed what I expected from book 1 in who was trying to keep them apart and I would have never thought that. I would say thank you for my HEA and runaway bride though. That and purse toting Bubbe came second to Lily and Adam answers to the clues. This is a MUST read, I would say "muthaf****" since it's Adam favorite.

Adam, Assistant DA and Lily, research law librarian by day and writer of erotic and mystery novels by night have grown up together since pre-school and are mortal enemies. Enemies or not they sure were giving off some goofy vibes after the crazy casts field trip into the woods here in bk 2. You know how that love/hate thing can explode in to some HOT love. Woo-hoo can’t wait!

OMG, this was so funny! I loved Braden, Mark, Adam, Cam, Jess and Gabrielle from the first book and they didn't disappoint with this one. In fact they introduced a few more characters, Lily and really looking forward to reading more about her and Adam in the next book. The dishes scene where Braden got Gabrielle all hot and bothered was amazing, right then the fire alarm was pulled. I was wondering if that ever happened to June Cleaver.. ha ha! The stalking was interesting, the scene at the bar with cousin Derek, a slippery floor and Gabrielle's lack of balance was too funny.... makes you second guess yourself about not wearing underwear under a short dress. The scene where Gab got her blouse wet, and the window with the executives, then Cam walking in the door, and then the rest of the group walking in had me in tears... can totally see that happening. The best part though was in the hotel when they found the stalker, and the girls chased him, then the guys got on in on it, the stalker ran into Rachel's room then into Bubbe's room. OMG I was laughing so hard I almost fell off my chair.. ha ha.. that was the best ever! The only thing I was a little disappointed with was that the courtroom cases weren't near as funny as the first book, but overall excellent! Look forward to the next one.

I don't know if I laughed as much at this one as I did at the first one, but it was five stars in my opinion, because it was still very funny and so hot! This one was more romantic than the other one and I thought it worked. I loved the end! The subplot got kind of more complex than I thought it would be, and I wasn't sure about that. I so loved this second book just as much as the first one. I so loved Braden and Gabrielle group of friend and just so happy that they got engaged. I just love their dog Bruno so much. See review for book one, The Law of Attraction, here http://bit.ly/15Aq9LB** I have never encountered a book like The Home Court Advantage before. It was one of those books that I couldn’t read in public because I never knew if I would be biting my lip from the sexy scenes or rolling around on the ground laughing. As I was going back to pull quotes for my review, I realized I actually didn’t highlight much… Why? Because this book was so entertaining and engaging that I had to fly through it with no time to highlight anything in between being turned on and then dying from laughter. It. Was. Awesome. Who knew that lawyers could be so freaking sexy? Or funny? Or just overall charming? Apparently, N.M. Silber knew. This has to be my favorite romantic lawyer book ever. “…Braden asked you out.” “He asked me to hook up with him and when I demanded dinner first he challenged me to a round of Beer Sex Trivia and then we negotiated settlement that included pre-sex dating.” “So it wasn’t the Notebook…” We pick off right where we left off with Braden and Gabrielle. Gabrielle is in danger? Kind of? There’s someone following her and leaving suspicious and sometimes threatening notes. Which causes Braden to go protective alpha male. Yum. Gabrielle is trying to get to the bottom of it herself. She has the most insane schemes! And this book definitely took a different direction than what I was expecting, but I am definitely not complaining. It was all so random! I can’t say much without spoiling the plot, but it was a funny mess. Now to be honest, not much really productive happened in this book. Do I care? Not. At. All. This book was plenty entertaining. Like I said laughing, getting turned on, and swooning. That’s all I did in this book. Perfectly fine. It was a feel good book. Just what everyone needs every once in a while. Oh, I can’t forget those over-exaggerated court cases. Those were over the top ridiculous. In a good way. It made for good sexual tension. “Four hours. That’s what? Two hundred and forty minutes. Just to let you know, at two hundred and forty-one I’m going to need those panties off, baby.” “I’ll take them off before I leave. It’ll save us a few seconds. I don’t think we have to go all the way to the bedroom either?” “Hell, no. I’m going to nail you right there inside the front door.” I didn’t think I could fall in love with Gabrielle and Braden more than I already did in The Law of Attraction, but the impossible became possible with The Home Court Advantage and in more ways than one really. For some reason, I don’t remember Gabrielle being this adorable the first time around. She was funnier, wilder, and clumsier. I think a lot of her attractiveness comes from her increased confidence with Braden by her side. The best part about her? She wasn’t even self-conscious at all. And she did a lotttt of stupid, crazy things that would have any lesser woman dying of embarrassment. While I died of laughter of course. And Braden… *le sigh* I think he was just as swoon-worthy this time as the last, but since I loved Gabrielle more, I also loved him more. After all, they are just two halves of a whole. Which really showed in this book. They never questioned their relationship, and they just accepted that they were right for each other. I loved it. I also enjoyed that they were relatable on some level. Their relationship was so natural and effortless. Well, except for the threats to Gabrielle but whatever, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger right? Best part about Braden? He’s the perfect boyfriend/fiancé all the way around. He’s attentive, caring, sexy, and amazing in the bedroom. Did I mention he was a dirty talker? Braden and Gabrielle know how to get it on. It was highly entertaining. Even though, they were interrupted quite a bit (which were some of the funniest parts in the book), they were explosive together. I loved that not one sex scene was like the other, it was HOT. “”Life is short and whatever happens I want it to happen to us together.” I didn’t care what anyone said. Even it if had only been a few months I knew that this relationship was the real deal.” I was not ready for this book to end. I just did not want to say bye to Gabrielle and Braden. The Home Court Advantage was definitely a nice happily ever after for Braden and Gabrielle as well as a great setup for the next book which will be about Adam and Lily. Their sexual tension was simmering over there throughout the whole book. I acknowledged it but I was just way too engrossed in Gabrielle and Braden’s story to think about it just yet. Well now that I’ve finished The Home Court Advantage, I desperately want more N.M. Silber books. I’m not ready to let go of this group of friends just yet. “There were no words at all to describe the intensity of emotion between us that night. It may have only been a few months, but we were deeply and passionately in love. I feel like our souls recognized each other. Like we had always been together and we always would be.” See full review here http://bit.ly/1aXzLMm

M. Silber's second book in her Lawyers in Love series. As one who loved The Law of Attraction, I could just stop my review right there and say I loved the book, go read it. But I'm not going to stop there. :-D The Law of Attraction ends when hot Norse-god look alike Braden Pierce pops the question to his court room adversary Gabrielle Ginsberg thinking that staying with her is the best way to keep her safe from the malevolence that threatens her, and what better way to stay with her than to marry her?? The Home Court Advantage picks up with more court room antics starring Braden, Gabrielle, and their colleagues as well as the long suffering Judge Channing and a host of eccentric clients who must be prosecuted by Braden, but are still in need of defending, which Gabrielle does with creativity and conviction. Their courtroom encounters will crack you up because they are definitely not your typical dry legal proceedings and sometimes include very entertaining consultations in the interview rooms at the courthouse. Braden and Gabrielle's forays into the social world are also hilarious. I'm sure you've all wanted to attend a UFO convention with your friends, and can you imagine the ever graceful Gabrielle inventing a new dance sensation? That scene popped into my mind today while I was getting a massage and I had to perform a major mental disciplinary action in order to keep my masseuse from thinking I was having a seizure. A word to the wise...please don't read this book in a crowded public area unless you are prepared to either explain yourself or read passages aloud. I love Gabrielle and Braden as a couple. He is so protective and patient and Gabrielle is, in her own words...... . . .pretty eccentric and rather awkward at times. I made corny jokes and odd observations. I was the queen of too much information. I was uncoordinated and could manage to trip while standing in place. I had some unconventional ideas and my life often resembled an episode of I Love Lucy. Let's just say I was an acquired taste. Even though she doesn't lack for self-confidence, Gabrielle's amazement at winning the heart of someone like Braden is endearing. I don't mean to sound so anxious. It's just hard to wrap my head around the idea of getting married, let alone marrying you. Sometimes I still can't even believe that I get to see you naked. The Home Court Advantage is a lighthearted and easy to read romantic comedy. N.M. Silber creates characters who are not bogged down with troubled pasts or current angst. You will want to hug them instead of slap them. You will even be charmed by Bubbe, Gabrielle's redoubtable grandmother who made me fondly remember a friend from high school with a Bubbe of her own. I can just hear my friend saying "You won't believe what Bubbe did at the wedding....the funeral...the Bar Mitzvah" or whatever other family event she was describing. You don't want to invite that woman into your home! You'll have to have it cleansed by a medicine man and blessed by a priest after she leaves! Finally, there is one character who deserves a book of his own. Just so you know, if Bruno the indomitable Chihuahua/watch dog turns up missing, I may wind up in Judge Channing's courtroom being prosecuted by Braden and defended by Gabrielle. As I said in the first paragraph, go get yourself a copy of this book and read it! Be prepared to laugh out loud, and at the end, find yourself looking forward to the next book. 5 stars Ms. Silber, for bringing your creativity and sense of humor into our lives! :-D Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book directly from the author. I was not paid to read or review this book. All opinions are my own and I was never influenced by anything or anyone.

Home Court Advantage is Book 2 in the Lawyers In Love series by N.M. Silber. I was offered an ARC in exchange for an honest review. The hilarious and lovable ensemble is back! Braden, Gabrielle and the gang have returned. There are a few new abettors in their cast of characters, and they’ve upped their antics as well! The witty, sometimes corny, and maybe even a little kitschy dialogue is as fresh and outrageous as ever. You have to be on your toes with this one, because the facetious and sarcast Home Court Advantage is Book 2 in the Lawyers In Love series by N.M. Silber. There are a few new abettors in their cast of characters, and they’ve upped their antics as well! The witty, sometimes corny, and maybe even a little kitschy dialogue is as fresh and outrageous as ever. You have to be on your toes with this one, because the facetious and sarcastic exchanges fly fast and loose from the tongues of these quick-witted lawyers and they sail in every direction. NO ONE is impervious. Gabrielle is still defending some of Philadelphia County’s most outrageous criminals, while Braden continues to try (unsuccessfully) to conceal his amusement in prosecuting them. The longsuffering Judge Channing remains unwavering in his attempt to maintain a modicum of decorum in his courtroom with the help of his trusty bottle of Pepto. Braden and Gabrielle are still in lust, and in love. These two are non-stop fun in the courtroom, and insatiable nooky in the bedroom … and the kitchen … and the jury room … and … Well, it’s probably just safe to say that they can’t get enough of each other, and it must be contagious, because there’s romance in the air for some of their cohorts as well! There’s still an anonymous threat that has Braden on high-alert in an effort to protect Gabrielle. However, Gabrielle’s inner Nancy Drew cum Lucille Ball is intent on finding this would-be troublemaker and bringing them to justice. This time, though, Gabrielle’s gifts of persuasion not only convince her best friend, Jess, to go along with her antics; she’s now got the whole gang involved – including Braden! Make some popcorn, grab your favorite beverage, and settle in for an entertaining read that will leave you wiping away tears of laughter (and even a little tenderness) to the very end. After careful deliberation, my finding is that The Home Court Advantage prevails with 4 ½ stars! Court’s adjourned!

You have the crazy defendants that Gabrielle is defending while up against Braden in Court, the judge whose commentary in Court sometimes even funnier than the cases themselves, a bunch of UFO chasers and crazy family members and friends. Gabrielle and Braden have one hot and sexy relationship that’s for sure and it has only gotten hotter as time goes on, can you say jury deliberation room anyone? Braden could work his case on me in there any day *sigh*. Gabrielle is determined to find out who those notes are from and isn’t afraid to drag the entire gang along to participate in her crazy and hilarious antics. They have more than just a physical connection though, its an all around perfect fit with these two. I absolutely cannot get enough of this series. It is more than just sex and romance, it is so damn funny too. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series just so I can continue to laugh my ass off with this gang. N.M. Silber has made me a huge fan of this series. If you are looking for something that has romance, comedy, a little mystery and will make you cry from laughing so hard, well then this series is for you. Trust me, pick it up, put it on your TBR list, just go and get it, believe me you won’t regret it.

When I read the first installment of this book I never expected to laugh so much. The first thing I noticed is that I felt related to Gabrielle so much, and the second book just reinforced that belief. I love N.M’s writing, I don’t feel tired, bored or confused while reading her books, and this is a huge accomplishment in my case because I’m normally pretty hard please (lol). She uses a lot of legal terms but somehow manages to make you understand them; you don’t feel like you’re missing something When I read the first installment of this book I never expected to laugh so much. Give me a sec to SWOON over Braden………. BRADEN!! I loved these books so much that I started making all my friends buy it; they all loved it as well. Now, as I said, I loved Gabrielle, because I relate to her so much, I always find myself involved in some pretty weird shit, always. And I’ll have Braden withdrawals forever, he is one of my favorite book boyfriends of all time!

This is another great book in this series! This book picks up right where The Law of Attraction leaves off. The characters Gabby and Braden have such chemistry together it is a joy to read. Gabby is smart, sexy, funny, quirky and clumsy but that makes her so much more enjoyable. Braden is of course all those things minus the quirky and clumsy part lol . The dynamics within the friendship is hysterical. They play so well off of one another. The group had me laughing out load at their conversations This is another great book in this series! The reference to being the Scooby Doo Gang was priceless! Braden and Gabby are quite the dynamic duo in and out of the court room and their friends make them even better. I can't wait for the next installment in this series! I hope that each of the character make their way into the next book. I am so looking forward to it! Michele

It's hormones, and chemicals from all the Clearasil and Axe body spray. At least that's my hypothesis."

The Home Court Advantage by: N.M. Silber 4 funny stars ***Arc provided for honest review*** The combination of the cold wine and his hot mouth launched me into orbit and I moaned and bucked my hips like I was doing a horizontal Twerk. No one is surprised by any weird thing that happens or any weird endeavor they go on. While Braden is clam, sexy, and put together, they were just made for each other. This is book is a light read and a great go to if you want a little suspense, laughter and hot sex scenes. Definitely worth the read.

Five Stars. This is authentic Romantic Comedy, of the variety that really makes you laugh out loud. This book, and the first, Law of Attraction, are two halves of the story of a prosecutor named Braden and a defense attorney named Gabrielle, who face each other in court, handling all kinds of zany cases. Outside the courtroom, their romance, and it really is a romance, is very hot and passionate. If you shy away from very sexy love scenes this won't be for you, but if you like that, you won't be Five Stars. I absolutely loved it! Braden and Gabrielle are back and better than ever. They're sexy as hell and the crazy antics are laugh out loud funny. And just think, this was only book two of a six part series! I've said it before, and I'll say it again, N.M. Rocks! Her books are the perfect mix of intensity and hilarity. She's the next big thing as far as I'm concerned! I absolutely cannot wait for Legal Briefs to get Adam and Lilys story, let the pigtail pulling commence! https://www.facebook.com/50Ga I absolutely loved it! So this book leaves off exactly where The Law of Attraction ends. It has the same humor and sexiness as the first book. I loved the chemistry between Gabby and Braden. I also love all the antics that Gabby gets into. She is hilarious. This book is hilarious. I am so looking forward to the 3rd book in this series where we can explore the other characters in the book. I just hope there is more Gabby and Braden because they are hot!

The synopsis alone is hilarious... cannot wait for this to come out... ::UPDATED 11/19/2013:: I read this book in one day, and I really enjoyed it. I am so glad that the author was able to wrap up the "mystery" in this book. I really loved the characters and at one point I was kicked out of the bed b/c I was laughing too hard. I just love the series. I cannot wait for the next book 'Legal Briefs' I just know that it's going to be just as good as this one. LOL. I read this at work, in my dorm, when I was supposed to be working.......I read this everywhere. Common trend: each place I read it, people looked at me like I had two heads because I couldn't stop laughing. Um, since when does it make you weird to die of laughter in public places? It's not like I was having sex in a jury deliberation room while there was an ongoing court case outside the door......... LOL. Once again Ms. Silber has delivered a book that will make you laugh out loud, with sexy scenes hot enough to make you sweat. The second book in the series did not let fans down at all in my opinion. In fact, the only thing that disappointed me, was that I would have to wait a few more months for the next book.
