I loved this book. I had expected a work of urban fiction, a shadow of the Nightside. Given those expectations I wondered and wandered my way through the initial chapters expecting the world to develop in a manner that would rival the excellent character development. The world never developed. Instead, it transformed. The new world is a rich and bountiful place full of magic and lore and pristine things. Val, Selene, and Nathan were transformed as well.
