I only read Tempting SEALS book #1 so far... I skipped to the back to read it! I really wanted to get started reading this series, and Im glad I got to read this story first. Raven has been in love with Reno since she was 17... but because Reno is 6 years older than her, he left and joined the Navy to get away. Years later, Raven is 25 and a grown woman... so when Reno is back from a mission he decides its time to make Raven his. No matter how much she teases and runs away, he will have her. I´ve only read Lora Leigh´s 'Reno´s Chance' because, to be honest, the other 3 stories in this anthology failed to pick my interest. After reading Lora Leigh´s 'Wild Card', I was curious enough to want to read about those secondary characters mentioned in that book, so I picked this anthology to read the 1st story in the 'Tempting SEALs' series. Well, I shouldn´t have bothered... This short story didn´t give me any real info about those SEALs´ background. Four hot and steamy stories. They were quick to read, and I usually like a little more plot.

NAUGHTY GIRL by Carrie Alexander For Estrella Ianesque, the daily bus ride to work has been improved ever since road construction began along the route. There's one working, covered daily in dust, sweat, and pure male that's driving Estrella's hormones through the roof. When her boss, Eve, has to go out of town for a week, she leaves her spiffy little red Miata convertible in Estrella's care-and not a moment too soon. There's one working, covered daily in dust, sweat, and pure male that's driving Estrella's hormones through the roof. When her boss, Eve, has to go out of town for a week, she leaves her spiffy little red Miata convertible in Estrella's care-and not a moment too soon. She plans on using that car to get some up close and personal views of her jack-hammer using construction man, and showing off her assets in the process. When Jesse "Drum" Drummond offers to help out the damsel in distress with the stalled Miata, it doesn't take long to realize a few loosened wires caused Estrella's car to stall. Calling her on her ruse, he's surprised that she admits it-then boldly waits for him to make a move. But Jesse doesn't take her up on her offer, not there at the construction site, but later in the evening he finds that he can't stay away from the sexy and seductive Estrella. Soon passions are soaring and inhibitions are lowered for this straight-laced woman who just once wants to do something naughty, and the man who had been determined to stay on the straight and narrow. WANTED: ONE HOT-BLOODED MAN by Pamela Britton A little over a year ago, Breanna Miller was raped by her fiance. All ready betrayed by the man who supposedly loved her, Bree suffered further indignities by the police, who believed the rapists claim that the sex was consensual. Now afraid of sexual intimacy, Bree does the only thing she can think of-she'll travel back to her hometown and the one man she ever totally trusted, former high-school flame Trent Walker. She'd broken his heart when she'd left for college and never returned, but Bree is sure that he's the one man who can fix her sexual problems. For Trent , seeing Bree again is a slap. At once excited by the possibility that her blatant proposition holds and still hurt over the way she left him all those years ago, Trent isn't sure what to do. The thought of sleeping with Bree still excites him-until he finds out why she's come home, and how he fits into her picture. Trent 's willing to help her overcome her sexual problems, but he's not at all sure that a few nights in Bree's bed is ever going to be enough. As sparks fly, trust is renewed, and healing begins, this is a short story you're not soon to forget. HAVE MERCY by Susan Donovan Winifred Mackland is sure she's on her way to her own personal doom. A screenwriter who is half-way done with her latest masterpiece, which just so happens to be a piece of crap, Win has no idea how to get the juices flowing on this last installment of her trilogy. Her agent, Artie Jacobs, has promised the producers that Win will have the screenplay finished in four short weeks, and to insure that she does, he sends her off to his cabin in the Berkshires to reacquaint herself with the things that seem to be missing in her work-heat, passion, and sex. Unbeknownst to Win, there's another person up in the Berkshires that Artie is hoping will be the inspiration she needs. Vincent "Mac" MacBeth has come to the Berkshires to clear out his father's cabin and get it ready to put on the market now that the older Mac is living in an assisted living home. With his overseas adventures and risk of being shot yet again in the course of his work, the younger Mac has no need for a permanent residence. But when Win Mackland comes moseying by looking for inspiration for her character's latest storyline-sex, sex, sex, and violence-Mac finds himself undeniably attracted to the passionate screenwriter. This is a funny story that had me laughing out loud at how Win used Mac as her personal muse, and the steamy sex scenes didn't bother me either! RENO 'S CHANCE by Lora Leigh Raven McIntire has spent years fantasizing over Reno Chavez, her brother's best friend. She's wanted him for what seems like forever, but even though she's sure she could have him, she hasn't allowed herself to take the chance on loving him. Reno is a Navy SEAL, and his dangerous job prohibits Raven from acting on her desire. Unable to risk her heart on a man who could die in the line of duty, she comforts herself with her daydreams and thoughts of what-if. Reno has always considered Raven to be his woman. At first, she was too young for him, being only seventeen when he first met her. But Raven is a grown woman now, and he knows that she desires him. He's determined to prove to her that the passion they could create together is worth anything, and that risk of losing someone you love isn't enough of a reason to deny yourself love. A short, sassy, and extremely sexy story, this is a trip into learning to love despite the risks involved.

I'm finding that multi-author anthologies are all but worthless. In this case, I've read other full, book-length stories in the Tempting SEALs series and have thoroughly enjoyed the depth, intensity, and tension that Leigh crafts so well. When publishers want the story to be told in 100 pages or less, it just doesn't work as well. Those subsequent stories in the SEALs series (Dangerous Games and Hidden Agendas) mention Reno and Raven's story, so it was the first thing I read in Honk If You Love Real men. I do wish that Leigh had had the space/length requirements necessary to give the story justice. As it is, it is a sweet story but completely lacking as a display of Leigh's talent.

I've been craving this for a while because I love Lora Leigh's SEALS series, so when I spotted it at Half Price Books I felt I was in for a real treat. I didn't know the half of it. The sex scenes are plentiful and actually serve to move the plot forward. Some romances just seem to use them for punctuation, here the stories would not be the same without them. Steamingly explicit without being tacky, and none of the anal Leigh is known for. A winner.

I like all the authors in this book so I figured I would give it a shot even though I don't normally read anthologies. Well, now I remember why I don't like them. The stories are so short that the author doesn't have time to put detail into the characters and their backgrounds. This causes them to feel too cardboard to me. Since they don't seem real, I'm not interested or invested in what happens to them and I just don't feel any chemistry between the H/h. But I'm sure some others may like it...it wasn't written badly.

I read this one quite a while ago for Lora Leigh's Navy Seal's story...Reno's Chance, which I see has been re-released as a "solo story". I DO like her Navy Seals and Elite Ops series, but this antho, like MOST anthos, was just too short..it never really does an author justice when she's made to squeeze what should be a full length novel into such a short story (the characters are never fully "fleshed" out and the relationships always seemed rushed). I gave this book 4 stars mainly because of Lora Leigh's story. It was, by far, the best story in the book, hands down. The third story was pretty good but the first two I didn't care for. Lora Leigh's "Reno's Chance" was a great start to her Tempting Seals series. This story was very well put together. The first two stories seemed like they were missing something. Rating for Lora Leigh's story, Reno's Chance, only Lora Leigh at her finest. Lots of alpha male and lots of hot sex, even if a longer length story would have allowed more fleshing out of the story. But I do love those best friend-younger sister tortured love stories, and this one is great. I'm excited to jump into this SEALs series, since that's also a favorite. Was not a fan of the first story, but loved the other three. Need to start looking at those three authors’ works. I love Lora Leigh but never read her SEAL stories - guess that will be changing! TBR shelf read result: these would be quick re-reads when I need something short and hot. Keep.

I put up full review later. This is just an idea for anyone that wants to read before then. Also my version of this book had 346-7 pages not 200 and something as this says it did. Naughty Girl got 3 stars. I just didn't like what the girl did to get the guy. It was so disrespectful and distasteful. She just plain out lied her butt off about who she was. She had no respect for the people that really do make a living by being apartment keepers. Maid is a hideous word to use they are apartment and home keepers. Wanted: One Hot-Blooded Man gets a 3 star because I didn't like what the girl did again and thought was very distasteful of her. I didn't see anything that had to do with the Navy with Trent in this book though. So no idea why was in this about Navy guys. I couldn't stand that the girl just gave up after asking for help once again leaving the guy high and dry. So very rude and shameful. Have Mercy. I loved it and gave it 5 stars because it was so much better than first two. This should been in a book with the 4th story Reno's Chance by their selves. This story was hot and Mac/Vincent was wonderful in it. I even enjoyed Win who was out of her element in the cabin. The ending was perfect. Just what I was looking for after the awfulness of stories one and two. Reno's Chance was another 5 star book and so wonderful. Love Lora Leigh she knows how to write erotica and also how to do some smoking love scenes. I defiantly agreed with Reno idea of Spanking Raven because she needed it the way she acted. The ending was just right and Lora kept up her usual Erotica. I was so glad to get to this one after two failed attempts at romance at the beginning of the story.

Okay I have to say that the only reason I read this book was due to Reno's Chance by Lora Leigh because I am about to dive into this series Temptation SEALS!! Really looking forward to it!! To tell you the truth, I think most of us want someone to look at through any kind of window of a car, bus, maybe a truck!!! I really enjoy the story! Pamela Britton is okay. I did not enjoy the story at all! Yes I love the kind-hearten male character in the story, but I could do without the mess-up story of Breanne. So of the things that Breanne tried to get Trent to do to her was not wise. For me the things that she did kept her self-mess up more than healing! I could do without the girl on girl stuff. I am okay with reading about it, but it could have be left out. I will not be reading anything that Ms. Britton has written. Susan Donova has gained another fan. The story about Winifred and Vincent was hot and funny! I really could see this happening in real life and felt like I was seating in on this hot romance!! It was a good short story, but be better for a longer one. Okay Lora Leigh did not disappoint with this one!!! I love how intense the story was and how it open up to the series that will become one of my favorites of Mrs. Leigh! I fell in love Reno and Raven, and I am glad that I got to see a little of Clint and Morganne in this book, which happens to be the next couple in this series! I am so in love with Mrs. Leigh and her little slice of fiction!! Cold glass of ice water is needed for this little short story!

Really loved this book. 1st Story by Carrie Alexander was good. Estrella is going to school and working as a maid. She's been through an ugly divorce and had to leave her family and home town to start a new life so ex can't find her. Win is a hot screen writer of sexy Max Mercy character, but she's having trouble with 3rd film. Her agent sends her up to the mountains to his place for 3 weeks to finish her story and tells her if she has any trouble with anything to call on the neighbor, Mac. Mac is big and powerful and into secret missions with the Navy (much like her character Max). He's recovering from a wound and cleaning out the cabin his dad has given him so he can sell it. I really like the dialogue between them and the way the interact. Great story. 4th Story by Lora Leigh was great. This was why I bought the book. It is the 1st story in the Navy Seal books. Reno has been in love with his sisters best friend Raven for years. She loves him too but wants nothing to do with any kind of perm relationship because of his occupation, so she trys to avoid him when he is home. But Reno will not take No for an answer and is determined to make her see that she can't live without him and that she can deal with his chosen career. I like all the Navy Seal stories.

Pamela Britton's Wanted: One Hot-Blooded Man is such a misnomer, at least, in how I normally interpret "hot-blooded" because Trent is the most incredible gentleman. Bree was raped by her then-fiance and has returned to her old hometown hoping to run into an old boyfriend, Trent. She's hoping he can help her get past her fear of making love. Susan Donovan's Have Mercy is a case of two people with no luck in love. Win's agent has sent her up to his cabin to work on the script due in one month. She always works better when there's a man in her life and Artie knows just the guy to help her out. Lora Leigh's Reno's Chance is an excellent start for her Tempting Seals series. Reno Chavez is determined to conquer Raven McIntire. Each has wanted the other forever but Reno has been set on waiting for Raven to grow up and gain some experience before he takes her. For she will be his. Forever.

My main reason for purchasing this book was the fact it included the story, Reno's Chance which is about Navy SEAL Reno Chavez and Raven McIntire. I'd give a 3 to Have Mercy by Susan Donovan because it was a smart, funny, breezy read and maybe a 1 1/2 to both Naughty Girl by Carrie Alexander and WANTED: One Hot-Blooded Man by Pamela Britton. Full length versions of their stories may have given me more of a connection to the characters and I wouldn't rule out reading other books of theirs.

Let me start out by just stating: KILL ME! 1. Naughty Girl: A really BAD episode of a Spanish soap opera on Univision would have been better! ZERO stars! As a matter of fact, this lovely little literary nightmare took stars AWAY from the overall book! 2. Wanted: eh - shrug - i don't know ... it just lacked unity i think. Could she have at least taken a paragraph to explain their past? And what's with the girl on girl experience? what was the point of that? the story was just all over the place. 2- Let me start out by just stating: KILL ME! 1. I have only read Reno's Chance in this anthology and I absolutely loved it. I must admit that I haven't really bothered with the other stories. I did try one of the others and it just couldn't compare. Reno's Chance is hot and steamy, but also quite sweet. I love how Reno goes after Raven. Yes, he is dominant and a little too sure of himself, but that ultimately is what we love about the Tempting SEALs. I love stories where the man does all the running and boy does he - lucky Raven! Raven is also a great character - really likeable. I loved her gumption and the way she fought back. She wasn't going to take any of it lying down - double entendre not intended. In reality, I'm not sure that I would be happy for a relationship to start because HE decides it can after years of wanting eachother - but still, it's not reality and it works well in this novella.

I won't rate the book as a whole since I only read 2 of 4 steamy reads. I'll rate the 2 I read. I thought novella #1 by Carrie Alexander was OK. I am not used to her writing style so the phrasing sometimes took me out of the groove the [sometimes:] amusing story. The characters are cast as the good girl and bad boy, so look for a couple good steamy love scenes and a sort of unexpected twist at the end. Novella #4 Lora Leigh's [SEAL Bk 1:] was my favorite and gets a solid 5. I will defiantely want I won't rate the book as a whole since I only read 2 of 4 steamy reads. I'll rate the 2 I read. Reno and Raven have that certain formula Leigh is famous for with her H/H but for me there are some that can be just a little different to be memorable. I still am thinking about them a few hours later. A very Goodread.

phew! These were yummy stories about yummy guys, but what was really great was the women were all trying to find themselves. Headstrong ladies who knew what they wanted and went for it...finding that taking chances on themselves and the men they are attracted to could be a wonderful thing. These were quick reads that you already knew the ending to (they are romances after all...wouldn't be so romantic if they ended up alone...right?) but they were adventures, for both the characters and the read phew! Two people from seemingly opposite sides of the earth end of together for some fateful reason. Taking matters into their own hands, the women grab onto their guy and don't let go. Silly and fun...and did I mention yummy?!

Whoa! Holy smoke that was hot! This was my first read of Lora Leighs Tempting Seals (I only had that novel, must try to find the others in the book). I read it as an e-book, and those I usually read to my breakfast cereals. And boy, it was hard to keep a straight face at times. Some scenes are really hot and on the border of harder stuff like bondage, so it sure isn´t for the faint hearted. I will most certainly read the other books in the series. And hope to get a glimpse of Raven and Reno again!

I read this book so I could read book one of Lora Leigh's Tempting Seals series. That said, I didn't really care for the first two stories included in this book: Naughty Girl by Carrie Alexander and Wanted: One Hot-Blooded Man by Pamela Britton. I did enjoy the final two books. Have Mercy by Susan Donovan made me chuckle several times. I'll try to read more of her. Lora Leigh is one of my favorite authors in this genre so I was sure I'd like Reno's Chance, the first book in the series. I was right. Honk if You Love Real Men contains four short stories. There's not much for me to say about Alexander's and Britton's stories; I didn't like them. Donovan's was the best, IMO and Leigh is starting to lose it for me. I couldn't help but think of her Nauti series when I was reading her story. All of her heroes seem the same to me and are starting to blend together. I don't know if this is a series that I want to continue to read. There's just too many similarities to her other books. Anthology of steamy stories, so far (first two stories) the common denominator seems to be women making use of men to meet their own needs, and fall in love along the way. Fun, steamy read. Not sure which I liked best. Maybe the one about the writer who finds her muse in the Berkshires (Susan Donovan?) This is the third piece I've read by Lora Leigh who seems to be very popular. Of the three by her I've read, this was the best, but I still am on the fence about her. Naughty Girl has to be some of the worst writing I have ever read! It was terrible! The story might of been good if it was written by someone else. Wanted: One Hot-Blooded Man was also pretty terrible. Have Mercy was actually really good, I enjoyed it very much and would of liked it to be longer. Reno's Chance was the reason I started reading this because it is the first story in Lora Leigh's Tempting SEALs series. The story was well written but needed a netter editor.
