I recieved this book in exchange for honest and unbiased review. I keep hearing about clean eating, but not exactly sure what it is. I'm sure it's more than cleaning your food before preparation or cleaning the dishes or safe cooking standards. The author said clean eating is knowing about where your food comes from and what's in it. Clean eating means avoiding processed foods. Some processed foods include canned goods (which I love), white flour, and items, which you can't identify each ingredient. He also mentioned one of my staples, instant oatmeal. The author also discussed what you can eat such as fresh and raw foods. He also mentioned canned goods, which doesn't contain any additives. He also recommends organic foods. Other clean foods include nuts, fruit, farm range eggs, and coconut oil. Next, the author focuses on how to cook clean. First, avoid fried foods and focus on steaming, stewing, and using less salt. The beginning section was very helpful in explaining clean food and techniques. Finally, the author provides clean eating recipes. Some of the recipes, I liked included. I loved the first appetizer: the guacamole bruschetta. I love breads. I love avocado. I also liked the cream cheese cucumber cups and the mini spinach pizzas, using pita bread. For salads, I loved the spinach and avocado salad with poppy seed dressing. For entrees, I loved the Mediterranean stuffed eggplants, the meatless chili, and the zucchini fries. Finally for desserts, I loved the two ingredient oatmeal cookies (rolled oats and bananas) and the clean chocolate souffle.

Clean Food Diet: Avoid processed foods and eat clean with few simple lifestyle changes(free nutrition recipes)(natural food recipes) (Special Diet Cookbooks & Vegetarian Recipes Collection Book 4) Have read other books by the same author and enjoyed the recipes. The book is broken up into sections appetizers, meals, breads, salads, soups, and desserts. Each recipes comes with step by step instructions and also has some nutritional information at the end. Does not state what a serving size is though. Some recipes have a very colorful picture to go along with the recipe.

Clean eating seems to be a growing trend in the food industry. The idea behind is it to eat foods straight from nature, with minimal processing. Author Jonathan Vine starts this book by giving the reader an introduction to clean eating; what it is, what to eat, techniques one uses to cook clean food. It is all really informative, and gives the reader a good background for this topic, without being overly technical. Incidentally, the introduction really gives you pause to think about what you eat, and it makes you want to eat less processed food. Clean Food Diet has over 50 recipes to help you get started in a more healthful eating regimen. The recipes are wide ranging and include appetizers, salads, soups, main dishes and desserts. I perused the offerings and although I am a fairly picky eater, there was several recipes which really tempted my palate. One recipe that I tried recently was the Tomato and Cheese Skewers. I could not pass this recipe up, considering that tomatoes and cheese are two of my most loved foods! This recipe was really easy to prepare, and so delicious. I am planning on serving this dish at an upcoming holiday dinner that I am hosting. I really enjoyed Clean Eating and its recipe offerings. If you are eating at exploring the concept of clean eating, but don't know where to start, then this book is a great book to peruse. The writing is very clear and understandable. Each recipe includes nutritional data for people who are counting calories as part of a structured eating regimen.

I really enjoyed this book, It was quick to read and easy to follow. It's VERY short but that's what I love about it. I hate trying recipes because they're often complicated, but not this one. All the recipes are simple but they all sound delicious. I would have liked more pictures so I can visualize the recipe. I will be trying many of recipes throughout 2015.

While I would take some of the health advice with a grain of salt (pun intended), this collection of healthy, mostly plant based, recipes is a nice collection of easy to prepare everyday foods. Big thumbs up.

The recipes to me seemed very simplistic, but well written, with only a couple flaws. This book is suited mainly for vegetarians and had a lot of good veggie recipes. Also, he had a lot of dishes with tofu which is not something I enjoy eating so that took out pretty much the entire main dish section for me. And some of the main dishes seemed like appetizers to me. I am a big fan of salads and although there were no complicated salad dishes they all sounded yummy! Surprisingly I think the best recipes were in the appetizer section. In my opinion this is a great book for starting to understand this diet and having a few go to recipes. Overall the book was good, it gave some good information and was an easy read. You can learn about clean eating and the benefits of it. Some of the perks of clean eating aside from helping to realign your digestive system, it boosts you immune system, helps clear that foggy brain that usually comes from gluten issues, make your skin look better, and your hair shine and virtually stops all those tummy issues. OK so I confess, I didn't succeed in full clean eating however I do not eat gluten or grains (allergy) and have tried to eat minimal processed foods. I avoid GMOS and will get as clean as I can. Again it is a life changing experiance, so take it one day at a time. Once you get started and if you stick to it I can say the cravings do go away. I think the preservatives in foods are slowly poisoning us. If you get a chance to get this book while it is still free it is worth a quick read!

Clean Food Diet This book was interesting, and this was the first time I’ve read an e-cook book. I found the e-book aspect to be convenient because I used my smart phone to list the ingredients while I was shopping. The recipes where at my fingertips while I was cooking. This book gave me great ideas on what to cook for my family when time is pressing and dinner needs to be on the table to feed my two demanding beautiful girls. I have to say some receipts are different, but worth taking a chance. Not only are they healthy, fresh but most importantly for me, the recipes are kid friendly. My 2 and 1 year old have enjoyed some of the ones I’ve made and I will enjoy trying others and feeding them good healthy food. I received this book for free as part of a promotion, in exchange for providing my honest opinion.

He clearly explains that clean eating is about eating minimally processed foods. The basis of this cookbook is more about eating fresh and lightly cooked foods in order to maintain the maximum amount of naturally occurring nutrients. This cookbook is perfect for someone who is just getting into vegetarian or clean eating or just beginning to cook their own food. The recipes are clearly written and easy to follow. With quick prep times, common ingredients, and clear directions so many of the recipes are ideal for weeknight meals, instead of going for take out or a boxed meal. I do hope in the next cookbook, the author does share his knowledge on other types of vegetarian protein.

This book is not a clean eating diet book, there are too many processed foods in the recipes! Additionally in the introduction materials explaining clean eating it doesn't appear his knowledge of what makes up the clean food diet is correct. He uses sensationalist language and talks about things being chemical free (sorry, but everything in this world is made up of chemicals... what do you think water is?). Just because you don't know what an ingredient is, doesn't make it bad, it also doesn't make it not count for clean eating. He doesn't encourage you to do research, but I do. If you don't know what an ingredient is, research it and find out, you may be surprised that it's more natural than some of the ingredients he listed in his recipes. If the author would have left out all of the information at the beginning of the book and changed the title to Vegetarian cookbook, this might actually be a decent book. It also doesn't help that the book needs to be edited better to fix redundancy and incorrect words. Overall I do not recommend this book. It just adds to the sensationalism of our diet which doesn't actually help in people knowing what they are eating. Rather than using sensationalism, use actual facts. It's true there is too much processed food, but don't make false claims or poor logic when talking about these important issues.

Tasty-sounding recipes, but my main complaint is it's all vegetarian. It is possible to eat clean and eat meat. Also contained lots of typos and grammatical errors, which in my opinion, weakens the authority of the author.

But this book proves that i am wrong. It explains in a detailed yet simple manner, how to prepare tasty, healthy recipes in no time. 50 recipes are very well detailed and explained. Thai tomato soup and cabbage soup are my favorite recipes from this book. Previously i didn't have much liking for cabbage soup. But this book convinced me that cabbage can taste good too!! One more recipe I am trying more often is the Mexican bean salad, omg, it is so yummyy!! Wish I can share a virtual bite with you so you can feel the taste!! I learnt that eating healthy and clean is a lifestyle, it is not something like your regular fad diets that make you even more unhealthy. Water is the fuel that runs our body and the author definitely motivated me to drink more water. I always knew that sodas are unhealthy but I couldn't stop me from grabbing one daily. This book made me ditch soda, may be mostly,i should say. I still have my cheat time lol..but yeah i reduced the intake of soda to a great extent. The author somehow was successful in tricking me to ditch my soda and grab a glass of water to satisfy my thirsty cravings. The author stresses that cooking your own food is a much healthier and cheaper option. You can have a clean diet and be guilt free at the same time. You don't have to spend your hard earned dollars on some crap that you buy from the restaurants, which is ripped off the nutrients, vitamins and minerals and is almost in the stage of death. Instead, you can just grab this book, pick out a recipe, go for a grocery shopping which can always be made exciting fun especially when you are buying lots of colorful fruits and veggies, sit at the comfort of your own kitchen,be the master chef and whip out some yummy recipes. They not only taste good but are healthy too. The best thing is they are way cheaper than the readymade food or instant food or..whatever you wanna call it!

We live in a society that is always on the go. We work long hours during the day, and we want things that are convenient for us. This includes our foods. We always want to eat things that are put right in front of us, but at the same time do not have time to make them. This sounds like me, and many others. If we care about our health, which I am sure we all do, then we need to make time to eat healthy and re-train our taste buds to crave fresh fruits and vegetables. The Clean Food Diet eBook explains what "clean eating" means, as well as how to eat clean. It gives examples of all kinds of different foods that are healthy for our bodies, and also what to avoid as well, including the everyday processed foods that are on possibly on our shelves at home right now. the book also explains how to eat and cook clean by listing over 50 natural recipes for healthy living. I have a couple of favorite recipes in that book including the White Bean Hummus, as well as the Grilled Zucchini Rolls that taste so yummy and delicious! I also love how the book lists the Calories, Fat, Carbohydrates as well as the Protein content for each recipe so that you can keep track of those numbers. This is such a great book to read. It has helped me realize that if I need to continue to be healthy, I should get back into healthy and clean eating. It is now my go-to book that has taught me so much about making my own foods that taste absolutely delicious!

I want to be healthier and eat better so I am always looking for great recipes and eating tips that are good and that actually work. This book is full of all that and then some. I have been cooking away in my kitchen trying out many different recipes that are found in this book. I can't wait to start trying out some of the soup recipes now that it is starting to get colder. However, there is something wrong with this book and that is the fact that many of the recipes are missing quantities of ingredients to put into the recipe. I am not experienced as most people so I did my best to figure out the recipes I wanted to try. However, for many others this would be a very big problem. This needs to be correct immediately so that more people can understand this book because the recipes and tips are great. But proofreading is a must and that is why I can not give this book five stars, and not even four. Because without knowing how much of something to put into a recipe, what good is this book. If these things are changed then it would be a five star book, easily. But for now, it is only a three star book for me. Update: I received an updated version of the book, which can be downloaded from Amazon, and the mistakes that it did have are now fixed. There are still some places in which there are no amounts but from what I can tell it just means you can put as few or many as you want or eyeball it, as my grandmother used to say. It is now a five star book for me.
