except for some details about the planned PAVAD program this can be read as a standalone novella

That was a nice, short lil something. I can’t say it was anything impressive but it did the trick. I probably would have enjoyed that more had a read it nearer to the time I read the other books but hey ho. For what it was, it was pretty decent. It was able to maintain its integrity while being so short which was nice to see. The characters didn’t particularly do anything for me - they were pretty bog standard- but I had an okay time nonetheless.

I love the details, the budding romance and efficiency of how the agents worked together and supported each other while protecting the public. It is a great prequel to a great series.

I received this e-book free from Amazon and I am voluntarily writing an honest review. Jasmine Len FBI and personnel assistant to Deputy Director Ed Dennis call Dakon Royal FBI when an attempt was made on both of their lives one night. Together Dakon and Jasmine work to catch the culprit and protect deputy director while flirtting with their mutual attraction. What I do not care for in this book is the build up to catch the criminal and then the immediate drop with no follow thru as to why when I received this e-book free from Amazon and I am voluntarily writing an honest review. Another disappointing aspect is the may misspelled words throughout that editing and proof reading would have caught.

Interesting novella. This prequel should!d definitely be read before book one. It provides Insight into how PAVAD came to be, about Agent Jasmine Len and her relationship and value to director Edward Dennis, as well as get blooming relationship with Agent Damon Royal. It I'd a great set up to book one and those following it. Definitely pick it up and read before the others. Rating: 4stars

Not a book. A short story If you enjoy the PAVAD series, this is a basic couple of chapters describing some problems getting the unit set up. There is actually more sexual harassment verbiage than story line. Not worth buying.

Fast-paced I was bothered by a couple grammatical errors, a typo, and overuse of a word (b******d). That may be picky, but that and the sometimes awkward narrative disrupted the flow for me like bumps in the road. It was a very fast read, I enjoyed the suspense and the romance aspect. I did purchase the second book of this series, so we'll see if there is an improvement in the writer's presentation.

I hadn't ever tried this author but romantic suspense is a favorite genre. While this book could use some editing, I liked it overall. The characters, mostly were developed, even the ones mentioned in passing. There was a bit of cliche and the romance was a bit too insta but that happens sometimes in romantic suspense and especially novella. I have a few more books in this series, also freebies, and will probably read on a bit more.

GREAT POSSIBILITIES A short prequel giving insight to the beginnings of a new proposed division of the FBI. An introduction to the Deputy Director and his Assistant who designed, developed and will be heading up the new unit; with also some of the key players. Well written and very intriguing.

...meh, a case in point as to why I don't read stories this short. I got a bit lost towards the end, it seemed like I missed something. Idk. I would have liked to have read more about this couple, but it is what it is. Hoping that the next book will pick up a bit.

Unfinished The story had potential, but felt rushed and incomplete. The ending was extremely unsatisfying. It cut off rather abruptly, in a really odd way, like the author just forgot to finish that chapter.

Awesome Zeries PAVAD hooked from the first line and kept me turning page after page. Action drama mystery and romance in one!

Too short for anything to develop. Len is supposed to be this take-charge person, but she doesn't come across that way.

Too short to say much more than okay, but it was free, and so is the next which is twice the length. I read book #1 about 4 years ago, also free, these are prequels.

Nice short story Low on romance high on suspense. Enjoyed reading about Dakon and Jasmine. Requires some editing. Chemistry between the two agents was sweet and funny.

Not a bad story. First I've read by this author. Seems like a pretty good set up to the series. I did notice a few errors that an editor should have caught.

A prologue at the start of a story... A prequel at the start of a bunch of stories, like this one. Well produced and executed. Amy (GBR) provides a decent text to speech narrative.

Meh!!! I liked it for the short and sweet story it was. Hopefully, the rest of the series will have a lot more substance than this story. I'm only recommending this book because it will introduce you to characters for future books.
