What starts as an extremely promising short tale with a classically creepy set-up, prematurely blows its load on an ending that is over far too quickly, is far from satisfying, and fails to link what happens earlier in the story with the final scene. 2.5 Babysitters in Peril for C is for Clown.

I thought it would be fun to read this on Red Nose Day. Sadly, I didn't get chance to read it in the day, so ended up reading it in bed very late at night (something I promised myself I wouldn't do, due to my fear of clowns). This is a very short story, thank goodness. I don't think my heart could have taken any more of it. This may have been short, but it had my heart racing. I can still see the clown in the corner of the room today, happily trying to taunt me & freak me out. This story actually I thought it would be fun to read this on Red Nose Day. I spooked myself so much I had to read another book for an hour before going to sleep! This is a fun (terrifying if you have clown issues) quick read if you just have a few minutes to spare.

This was probably me my favorite of the A-Z stories so far. Again another quick fun story. But this one had a clown! If you take anything scary and add clowns it's going to be so much more scary! Don't want to say anything other than, just try this book. You'll enjoy it! Just make asure you do A & B first ;-) Onto D now! I thought I'd gotten over my fear,  but this instalment was enough to disturb me slightly. OK, a lot!

This is part three in Iain Rob Wrights new A to Z of horror series. Stacey is going to babysit for the Murrays. She has done it for them before, looking after their ten year old son Harry. She has the hots for Mr Murray, Nev, who wouldn’t? Harry hasn’t been feeling the best. He has had nightmares. He tells Stacey he hears voices. He tells Stacey he hears voices. That clown in the corner of the living room is really freaking Stacey out. This is set to be one weird night. If she survives it. Firstly, I have to say that quite obviously this book has probably the most wonderful character I have ever read about in a story. Nev Murray is undoubtedly a character that deserves to be in a lot more stories. His character and presence is just mesmerising. A true joy to read about. Again this is a short one that you could probably read in a half hour. I would use it as a little time filler or to break the mood in between heavier reading. I have to be honest and say it’s not my favourite of Iain Rob Wrights. It is a creepy tale and plays on probably the biggest fear of any horror fan. Clowns. Harry is the stereotypical creepy child that seems to appear out of nowhere. Stacey is the stereotypical girl next door come to babysit that doesn’t realise that the strange things going on around her are ultimately going to lead to bad things for her. I know it is a short but I felt it could still have been expanded on some more. It seemed to come to an abrupt end for me. It is a scary tale but probably a little bit predictable. This is strange for Mr Wright. He normally sucks us in with originality and fear on every page. Looking forward to D to get back to normal. 3 stars.

She noticed its nose was a strange ice blue. Later when she looked it was orange. She assumed that it was some kind of thermostat. That's when strange things began to happen. Stacy's life was changed.

For this installment of his A - Z Of Horror series, Iain Rob Wright is using the world’s worst nightmare, and most common phobia to ensure that we will need a night-light and a security blanket for the rest of our lives! Well, maybe not… By the time we finish the series – we may never sleep again! Full review is posted on BBB. Love A-Z Highly recommend this series to all fans of modern horror! Except maybe those who are scared of CLOWNS, this one was excellent! Especially loved the phone call between babysitter & father!

I hope this story was meant for young teens, because they don't have much going for them in the adult category. I have always appreciated Mr. Wright's stories and would recommend most of them, but I can't recommend this. Fear on every page This is a real creepy short story from Iain Rob Wright. Clowns and horror go hand in hand. This is short and spooky.
