This was a quick and easy read, picked up on my Kindle Unlimited plan. I've been thinking about the North Carolina coast a lot since Hurricane Florence came through. I enjoyed learning more about this history of this particular part of the North Carolina coast. This was a quick and easy read, picked up on my Kindle Unlimited plan. Not exactly what I thought I was getting when I ordered. Still a great book if you are interested in the islands. No pirates but great information on how the islands and how they developed over the years. Highly recommend if you are going to visit or live on the islands.
