Zen doodle is a form of artistic meditation that can be done by anyone of any age, of any race, anytime and anywhere. The materials needed to do this activity is very simple, you won’t believe you haven’t thought of doing this before. Often compared to ‘doodling’, creating Zen doodle has a different approach and has specific structures and rules that make it an effective form of meditation. Zen doodle: The Art of Zen doodle for Absolute Beginners is a book that will teach you everything you need to know from how the practice started, how it will benefit you, how it is helping people worldwide, what materials to use, a step-by-step instruction (with pictures) on how to start drawing a Zen doodle tile, and things you can do with your finished masterpieces. Many people who have tried drawing Zen doodle are surprised at how beautiful their creations are even if they admittedly have no talent in drawing. But more than the art, the greatest benefit of the Zen doodle Method can be found in the process of creating it. This activity promotes relaxation, enjoyment, and focus. It is a very therapeutic activity in which an individual can gain benefits such as improved focus and concentration, improved mood, increase in self-esteem, and a sense of well-being. This method is now being used as therapy activities for individuals who have been diagnosed with mild autism and ADHD. The benefits are numerous that it is a highly recommended activity for both children and adults. Here is what you'll learn with this book : What is Zen doodle? What are the basic Zen doodle must-haves? What are the uses of Zen Doodle? How can I Relieve anxiety with Zen doodle ? - How to Draw Different Types of Grids? Philosophy and more I've been Tangling for several years. I've had difficulty explaining why I do it and how that others can benefit. I've taught friends, one on one, not official classes. This helps with explanations and a simplified tangle kit. Philosophy and more I've been Tangling for several years. I've had difficulty explaining why I do it and how that others can benefit. . Defines the "Art of Zen Doodles" really well, allowing the artist to create original work. I would have liked a few examples. . Defines the "Art of Zen Doodles" really well, allowing the artist to create original work. I would have liked a few examples.

Good basic information This book gives you really good information on how to begin Zen doodling. I briefly touches on resources. I would have liked to see links to places to purchase some of the resources. I would have been nice to have more step by step pictures included in the book.

Love doodling and Zen designs Love the whole concept of letting your mind go and just let the stress leave. I used to doodle a lot when I was a young mom and would be put on hold with companies. Letters were my favorite, who knew it would become a fad later on. Haven't had a good doodle in a while so will be nice to reconnect with that side of me Love doodling and Zen designs Love the whole concept of letting your mind go and just let the stress leave. A little too simplistic While this is a good introduction to Zentangle, it speaks to you as if you are not as smart as you could be. Most of the book talks about theory behind the Zentangle and not enough on how tos.

A simple intro I enjoyed this book because it lays out the basics for zendoodle without being too wordy. The rules are, there are no rules. Nice.

No patterns The book contains good background information but only two examples and no patterns. If you need patterns you need to look elsewhere.
