Where the first and second book still had a "normal mystery" with "normal culprits" that were fought by Althea, Luna and Miss Elva with magick this one was completely paranormal. Not my typical genre but I did enjoy the story very much anyway. I am happy to see that Miss Elva definitely moved up to a main character and I didn't mind that Althea wasn't involved in this "in between" story. Despite this being a novella, it was the best book in this series!! I received a free copy for my honest review and while I try to make sure I don't see any mistakes, I have to admit I forgot to look. I was so engrossed in the story I think I could've missed anything going on around me. This book was that great!! I think everyone who loves paranormal books should read this one. The adventure continues but this story focuses on Luna. It is Halloween and the darkest of evils arrives to shake up the whole town. Luna and Miss Elva must solve the mystery, figure out how to save everyone in town while ending the evil. The romance is included when Luna meets someone new. I missed Althea at first but then decided I liked getting to know Luna better. It was interesting watching her growth and how she deals with her own weaknesses. I liked this book a lot.

The dude handling the cart is tall, pale, and creepy as Luna accidentally catches his attention while passing by. When she tells Beaut about the truck, his competitive nature takes over. He has to send someone from Lucky's to buy a margarita so they can have a taste comparison test and see who makes a better margarita. Luna refuses to take part in the testing, and no sooner does he do so when he slumps to the floor no longer breathing. Thanks to his two fast thinking and acting magick friends, he is rushed to a clinic since they learn the hospital is over-run with patients the same as Beau. Now it is up to Luna and Miss Elva to keep him alive, figure out what is going on, save all the people, AND catch the perpetrator! Fortunately they find a competent doctor who will accept magick and help them fight the long fight ahead of them. This exciting book is touch and go for so many people until Miss Elva figures out an antidote for the poison. Among the many twists, there is a hint of romance and happiness ahead. This book is more of a novella, and although Aletha isn't in the book, it is just as good as previous stories. I highly recommend reading it (after book 2 and before book 3!) for a cohesive story when you continue the series.

This is a great little side book in the Tequila Key series, and focuses on Luna and Miss Elva during All Hallows Eve while Althea is out of town. I really enjoyed this way we got to give a little extra time to the more powerful witches in the friend group - especially working together to do great things. And I was glad to see Rafe playing an important role again. Unfortunately, there were so many little moments during the doctor part that really bugged me. I just couldn't imagine any doctor allowing them to leave with that only liquid that could be used to make an antidote during a mass casualty event. I could understand his willingness to trust them if he had some history or connection to know that they had magical powers, but without that it was an immersion breaking moment for me. Despite that, it was a good story and I enjoyed seeing them encounter a challenging enemy.

I confess! I read this book as my introduction to the Althea Rose mystery series. It was so good I went back and started the series from the beginning. It takes the combined forces of Althea, Luna the white witch, Miss Elva the voodoo priestess and Rafe the pirate ghost to track down the evil demon and counter his plan. I loved the story and the characters.

Awesome What a great this novella turned out to be without stupid, bitchy Althea to spoil things. I truly love Tricia's books! Such a talented writer, but Althea irritates me to no end. The books in this series are great and the characters in them seem so real. If they didn't seem real then Thea wouldn't irritate me so much, right? At any rate, if you get started on the Tequila series you will love them. Makes me wish there really was a Tequila Key so I could go visit my friends there. This book is the first book I read from the series and I have to say, I really loved it. It is good enough to be a stand alone and didn’t feel like I missed anything even though I didn’t read the first book. Tequila Will Kill Ya is a fun light read that kept me entertained the whole time. I really liked the characters and the storyline. A great little book to pass time!

This was a cute and funny stand alone with a little further shenanigans from Luna and Miss Elva. And for a “side” story, I liked it. I did love the “meet cute” between Luna and her (I assume) new beau. Miss Elva cracked me up, as always. Add a dash of Zombie Powder and it makes for a never dull ride.

Great Series I'm working my way through this entire series. Every book is a great read and I hope the series continues for a long time. I'm also trying out Tricia O'Malley's other series and so far have enjoyed them as well! I love when I find a good author. Thanks to Miss O'Malley I'll have plenty to read for some time. This novella only served to confirm how much I love this series!!! It focused on Luna who might or might not have finally found “the one” and Miss Elva who is showing us the full force of her amazing powers. I don’t give away spoilers so I’m not saying more but trust me, you’ll want to read this brilliant series!!!

A must for fans of the Althea Rose series. With it being a "stand alone" in the series you grow to appreciate the characters a bit more in depth. Even Rafe's personality will grow on you ! Fun read I loved the story. Very fun read and would have given 5 stars if there were not so many typos or in one instance, the wrong character was named. I do understand authors work hard and are not perfect. Hope whoever edits will catch some of the errors in her next books.

I just recently finished #3 in this fun paranormal series, and backtracked to read this installment. I'm sad to say I struggled with it. The others were fine, but this one really needed editing and polishing. Still plan to give the next full-length one a go since I enjoyed the others. Short Story with a Huge Punch Oh my, there was a lot of plot in this short story, and it was a great mystery. Plus we learn how Luna met her doctor, if you are like me and have read all 6 full length books in the series. Loved this story.

Voodoo dust Miss Elva and Luna have to go into emergency mode when margaritas are found to be poisoned, it's touch and go for a while and Beau is close to death as many of tequila key are affected. Edge of seat stuff with a cute Dr to boot. Good read This one is based on Luna, Beau, and Miss Elva. Althea Rose was off visiting her boyfriend. There's always loads of magic, danger, and some humor, but this time Luna meets The One. Although a short story it was entertaining. I really appreciated that it didn't overdo the history of the two previous books as I felt was the case in book 2. This was worth my 99 cents.
