SPOILERS ALERT. Read only if you don't care about spoilers and if, you know, have read the series. .............. i did say Spoilers Ahead, right? Right. okay. It's about time Rick gets decent use out of Prisoner 35830 aka Negan. Also, Rick is still a bad ass. And he doesn't let up. and finally, it seems things are smoothing out in Alexandria with Rick's speech.

Extra pages, conflict heating up, and that great teaser of cover art which has been tantalizing us for months now. The verdict: It's alright. Truth be told, not much of anything really happens in "Betrayed". There's no shocking revelations, no shocking deaths, and all the major beats just feel recycled from earlier storylines, including the one death that is supposed to be shocking, but just comes off as trying too hard. It doesn't help that said death is almost an exact carbon copy of one used earlier in the series. It was shocking then. It's not shocking or even interesting now, cause we've seen it before. My fear is that may be the bigger problem creeping into The Walking Dead lately: We have kinda seen it all before, and given where it looks like the series is headed after "Betrayed", it feels like the creative wheels are going to be stuck, spinning in place for a while longer.

This was so fucking disappointing for being the 150th issue. Ugh. Was that scene with Rick killing that guy with his mouth some kind of fan service? Because, you know, it was exactly like the TV show. Anyway. Dwight runs away. Rick gets bashed. Carl is being naughty. They're building an army. Rick speaks his mind, then lets one of his attackers live. And now he's...the hero again? WTF was THAT?! Seriously. Not cool. The best thing about this issue was that last super creepy Negan panel. o.O

Maybe 2'5? Or just two? The story is lagging. As in SERIOUSLY. We have more of the same we have been having on previous issues: people doubt Rick, he is attacked, he defends himself, gives a speech (on the same room as always) and people cheer hi,. That's all. 40 pages for this. I would expect a little bit of moving along. I understand character development and talking between them constructs stronger characters, but I am getting bored of being reading the same for the last issues.

Double length 150th issue event is a rehash of the most basic theme of the series: Rick is awesome, people who should be grateful attack him, he wins, everyone cheers. The best thing about this much hyped and higher priced issue is the hope that, having gotten two issues worth of the redundant Rick is awesome filler, next month might actually move the story along.

Those two need to just shut up and deal with it. It's Dwight's choice if he wants to lead or leave the Saviors, and he's chosen to leave. I don't blame him. I feel like he'd be much safer at Alexandria or the Hiltop. I wonder if Laura and Dwight are going to end up together. Also, I wonder if they're going to go to one of the other communities, or if they're just going to go out on their own, which would be dangerous. I'm glad that Rick and Eugene both agree that forming and training a military ri Those two need to just shut up and deal with it. I'm glad that Rick and Eugene both agree that forming and training a military right now, is the best thing. I'm also glad that they're not just going to go after the Whisperers half cocked. That would be stupid. Who the hell are these pricks that are attacking Rick? I can't believe that Morton was stupid enough to attack Rick. He's just like the parents of the psycho boys, and needs to be shot in the face. Holy shit! Rick just bit Morton! Not that I blame him, as I'm sure that he didn't have any other way of fighting back, since Morton beat him up and he's feeling weak. But still, holy shit! That other guy, the one who was standing there and then ran off, he better not say NOTHING to anyone, or Rick will probably kill him too. And I wouldn't blame Rick. The people of Alexandria are fucking crazy. I feel bad for Andrea walking in on Carl and Lydia having sex. First off, as she's his mother figure, she didn't need to see that. Also, I'm sure it makes her feel sad, like her little boy's growing up. I'm glad that Rick was about to send Michonne after the guy who ran off, after Rick killed that first guy. Also, I'm glad that Rick's okay and that he was able to go home. I'm also glad that he had Maggie to help him walk. I liked Rick's whole speech about all of them working together, and I'm glad that he told the people the truth about those men attacking him, and that he killed the guy. It's just better not to lie sometimes. Also, I wonder how Rick and everyone else will react when they see that Dwight and Laura are there. I'm glad that Rick told the others about his and Eugene's plans to form a military. I was worried that Rick was going to end up killing Vincent in front of everyone, but I'm glad that he didn't. I agree with Rick that they shouldn't be fighting and killing each other, that they should band together to kill the Whisperers. I'm not too sure how I feel about them ending the issue with Negan, and with Negan agreeing with Rick, to boot. Negan's a dangerous guy, and if he's agreeing with Rick, then I'm not sure if Rick's actually doing the right thing.

The 150th issue was interesting. Yeah- interesting. Nothing really happened, other than two disgruntled members of the community making their displeasure known to Rick Grimes about their losses to the Whisperers. I'm not talking about voting. Still, the one thing I find about Rick is that even when he is maudlin and acting weak (it's a relative thing with him)...Rick Grimes is really, really, really hard to kill. No more than that for spoilers. Interesting choice by Dwight to leave and join Rick The 150th issue was interesting. Yeah- interesting. No more than that for spoilers. Interesting choice by Dwight to leave and join Ricks group- but shouldn't he have elected a replacement? Does this leave open the chance of Neegan's people reverting to form? Perhaps. Worst case scenario in the event of conflict is some weird alliance between Neegan's people and the Whisperer's? Weird as that may sound..one never knows. Still a little disappointed for this being the 150th issue. I expected more..but certain events were put into motion that might have huge consequences... but a little more action would have been nice. Rick Grime's has been giving more stump speeches than candidates for President. Also a question (SPOILER AHEAD): Ummm when Rick killed that guy by ripping his throat out and then passed out...why wouldn't the guy come back as a Walker and feast on Rick? How long does it take for someone dead to turn? It seems like some do it quickly and some take forever...anyone else think that? Just curious.

In the 150th issue of The Walking Dead Rick is attacked and beaten severely by two of his own people. But Rick embraces leader's role with a great speech and makes someone very proud. It's no wonder The Walking Dead is a legendary series, it truly deserves all the praise it can get. I love The Walking Dead and it's style. I am on my quest to read as many comics as I can. I Love comics to bit, may comics never leave my side. The whole army idea really fitted in with the angry community, and Negan is proud and dangerously happy. Gotta say, for a second I really thought those guys would kill Rick. But then I noticed how nervous they were, and reminded that we're talking about Rick-fucking-Grimes. I'm just deeply concerned about how this play will affect everyone's future - and what Negan REALLY intend to do with it.

And here it is, the big ISSUE 150. The last time we hit that big round number, we saw Negan go all Louisville Slugger on someone special.... Once again, the staff expects all of us to expect a big, horrible death of someone.....and they give us a curve ball. We once again get to see Ricks favorite way to defend himself when his back is against the wall...and leader Rick is back. Stand by for All Out War....V 2.0....

I did not worry very much about whether or not Rick would die, and the throat-biting was poignant the first time that Rick did it to protect Carl, but the technique seems feels rehashed this second time around. But I do like that Rick is able to forgive Vincent and unite everyone. And Negan's line at the end was icing on the cake.

:( ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!! In Issue 100, my favorite character was killed off and the issue was legitimately shocking. In this issue... Rick gets beat up. Very climactic, isn't it? (sarcasm). For all the hype that led up to this issue I really expected something better. And this was a huge letdown of an issue.

Well, it was ok. I liked it. It's building story, but being the #150 I was expecting much MUCH more than just building story and talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk..... DO SOMETHING! TAKE ACTION. MOVE. oh well.. it was good. Rick is having a plan to go against the Whisperers... We'll see!
