4.5 stars! I was a little hesitant to jump into Silent Whisper. Paranormal is something I like to read every now and then, but I don’t like scary books. At all. But after I read it, I was glad I did. To be honest, I forgot Silent Whisper was a paranormal book from the first 10%- to about 71%. I was so caught up in the story of the past, the other elements just left my mind. Andrea is that type of story teller. Her writing is always consistently good and engaging. This is another one of those stories where you want to stay away from spoilers. You just want to be surprised by the twists. It was about a 27 year old girl named Parrish Locke who goes through a life changing experience. But more than that, it is a timeless love story between Dominic and Karlie. I actually loved 10-70% best. The beginning and end were good too, but there were a few elements that threw me off a bit. Don’t get me wrong, I really loved the story and the characters. In fact, I stayed up way too late finishing this one because once I hit about 40% I could not put it down until I was finished. I loved Karlie and Dominic’s love story. It wasn’t conventional. But it was still a beautiful and forbidden romance. Silent Whisper was a very original concept and I loved that there was always an element of mystery, some twists and turns. The paranormal aspect is not the largest part of this story. I really hope people realize that. It has a part here or there that might seem a little on the creepy side, but it’s not scary at all. I think thats important to point out because I don’t do scary AT ALL. As I said before, I was nervous to add this to my TBR in fear that it would be scary, but it’s not. So don’t let that deter you from reading. Out of all the elements of this story, the main thing it centered around was an eternal love. A forever, once in a life time kind of love. If you’re looking for a unique love story with lots of mystery, suspense, heat and a little paranormal flare thrown in, you’ve found your next read! “I loved you like I’ve loved no one else… ever. You are my heart- and my soul, but most importantly- you are my eternal love.”

I did miss the old September game playing but if things were going to work for these two people she needed to mature and in this second book you see that. The best thing for me reading this, was that I got to climb in side Jesse's head. I loved the addition of the duo point of view, Jesse understandably had misgivings about him and September but he's also changed in this second part of their love story, he loves this woman and he's set to fight for that. I loved how the author writes Jesse he's a real man who loves his family, I defiantly felt more of a connection to him in this book and can understand how September could love him, (I've got a bit of a crush myself.) This was a great series for me, some people may find the taboo of there relationship too much and I was one but I took a chance and found a wonderful read.

I was so happy to hear that we were receiving a conclusion to the slightly taboo, Sins of September, because I honestly needed to see that our h, September, was going to be alright. I was truly invested in her character after the first book partly because of her young age and naiveté, but mostly because of her dream of a perfect life that was, quite literally, crushed by her own reality. What I got surprised me because, not only did I love the h in this book, but I also grew to love the H just as much, possibly even more. When September Ends is a beautiful story that makes you believe in love that comes in all forms and not just the “traditional” and “politically correct” that our society focuses on and praises. This book is not about hearts and flowers, but the ugly truth that surrounds real life love. And, in that emotional rawness, you cannot help but recognize and appreciate the beauty between the two main characters. There is such growth and acceptance in the h and H it is amazing and truly made this book memorable for me. The conclusion of this series could not have been better and left me feeling complete. Thank you for another amazing read, Andrea! You have truly shown us your depth of character creation and superb writing prowess. *I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review

So how is September free to have this relationship with her not-that-old stepfather? Her mom disappeared years ago. But now....she's back. In this one, September learns that you reap what you sow. September used some pretty underhanded and tricky plays to get what she wanted. Now she understands karma. September is trying to grow up. Trying to move on with her life. Make good choices. Be mature. But that doesn't always work. I have to tell you, September is hard to like. She is pings between whinny and bitchy. There are times you want to feel sorry for her, but is hard to muster up much sympathy. I do feel for Jesse. He is a nice guy who has been manipulated by everyone. His wife, his stepdaughter, his neighbor, his in laws. I wanted to think he was a doofus. But I liked him too much. I didn't really if September got her HEA, but I wanted Jesse to get his. Does that mean September or someone else?

What I will say is that Andrea Smith delivered a pretty unique, out of the box romance tale that had an air of suspense and quite a few OMG moments! Silent Whisper introduces Parrish Locke...a young beauty whose time has been spent in front of a camera. She has a decent life, a good boyfriend, and a seemingly good plan for the future. But what happens when one event changes your whole life in just an instant? Parrish has front row viewing of a tumultuous romance between a rich, sexy Mob capo Dominick and a young beauty whose services are paid for in a small town nestled in the hills of West Virginia. Hot and passionate is what Andrea Smith gives with "Nick" and Karlie... It is through Parrish that you get the full experience into a seemingly "pretty woman" scenario of rich man takes poor girl into a life of luxury. He gives everything to her...her happiness is the driving force behind his being, even though his "family" will never accept his MISTRESS! A story filled with a passionate love, a domineering man, and a woman whose life is always on the edge emerges. Dominick and Karlie are two characters creating the story but it is Parrish Locke who is pivotal in the end. Through her, the reader is able to feel an undying love between two people, a loss of what could have been, the shock of betrayal, and the hope of a future to reconnect the bonds that were never to be broken. *ARC provided by author, Andrea Smith*

I dived straight into this after the cliffhanger at the end of the first book. The first book was a smut-tastic read but lacking in romance, this one was lacking in smut too. This time we got alternating first person pov and that helped to make Jesse a more vivid character and that helped to pull this one back from the brink and kept me reading I think because September seemed to regress, running away and going into sulks. Now I pride myself on my sulking abilities, but even I know that, if you're sulking, you need to make sure everyone knows why. September spent a good chunk of this story sulking and even when she's narrating, she wasn't able to say why. Drove me completely nuts. September and Jesse's love is tested even further in this book thanks to a return of a figure from their past. There was also the constant presence of Casey - the bunny boiler neighbour Jesse poked on the sofa then promptly dumped - sticking her oar in and trying to come between them whenever she can. The intervention of these characters, along with the interfering presence of September's highly religious grandparents really drove the narrative along and created lots of dramatic tension and angsty feels that were missing from the first book. It felt to me like September's sulking on top of all that was a shade too much; it seemed to prolong the story unnecessarily and I wouldn't have minded a shorter story or a longer epilogue instead of all of that extended sulking. At least Jesse had finally located his big boy pants and was acting like the grown up this time, so that was much better. There's more story and much less smut in this, but what there is is hot. Thankfully, Jesse has ceased comparing September to her mum when he's shagging her too, so that made for a welcome change. I've enjoyed this series, it's definitely worth a read.

I feel like I need to start this off by saying that it wasn't really a paranormal romance. Although there are elements of PR, it really wasn't what I focused on as the reader. I don't do paranormal. I can't get into the whole genre, but this was something that had my attention and held it. It was tragic, beautiful and a little haunting (pun intended). The story begins with Parrish Locke who encounters a particular gift while in an accident. That gift brings us to the past where a love story I feel like I need to start this off by saying that it wasn't really a paranormal romance. It was tragic, beautiful and a little haunting (pun intended). The story begins with Parrish Locke who encounters a particular gift while in an accident. That gift brings us to the past where a love story is told surrounding Karlie and Dominic. Now, Karlie and Dominic's love wasn't traditional in any sense of the word, but it was ageless... it was eternal. This is a story that is hard to explain without accidentally giving something away, the twists of this story creates so many angles that it is best to go in blind and just trust that Ms. Smith won't disappoint. I found myself not able to fully connect to Karlie or Parrish but it had no impact on the pull this story had. For me, Dominic was the star. He shined. There was something about him that had me hooked. It wasn't just the typical book-boyfriend set up.... it was something about him as a character that just grabbed me and didn't let me go. My heart broke for him when he was at his most vulnerable. This was such an original story. I was reluctant to start this one, but once I did, I could not put it down. I had to know how it had all ended, I needed the mystery to be be unfolded and I needed to be set free. For most of the story I had forgotten that this had any element of PR infused with it, I just wanted their love story. I have no doubt that I will continue on with this series to see what becomes of Parrish and the journey that she will be taken on. I hope that as the series continues we get to see a little bit of her own love story as well.

I’ve claimed her; I’ve marked her, hell I’ve fuckin’ imprinted on her if you want to know the truth. September does belong to me, in every possible way.” This is one of those series that is hard to review, the subject matter is not for everyone but personally I felt the way that the story was delivered was not on the gross side of uncomfortable, it was honest and a situation that I can see many families finds themselves in. There were a few lines that had my stomach churning and I felt should have been left out, but other than that I really enjoyed this series. September had to grow up fast. Her real dad had never really been on the scene and September’s mum had married a man a lot younger when September was 5, his name was Jesse and they eventually had a daughter too. September’s mum was a waste of space and oxygen, she should never have been a parent, she was extremely selfish and this hit the extreme when she upped and left leaving September and her little sister with Jesse, she didn’t even have the guts to face Jesse herself, she left that to September too. They managed to cope for a while but it soon becomes clear that it is not working so Jesse leaves September with her maternal grandparents thinking it was for the best. September felt as if she had been abandoned once again and herein lays the crux of her issues, everyone she has loved has left. September is a gifted student and as she hits her late teens the raging hormones take over and she develops into a beautiful young woman. As we grow older, we all develop fantasies of our ideal man and for September that man is Jesse. She idolises him, despite the feeling of abandonment and in her teenage brain she has him firmly set on a pedestal. They have kept in touch and she still sees him on and off with her sister and these feelings have only progressed and strengthened through the years. “...but maybe someday he will finally see How he broke my heart when he set me free...” One summer when September is fast approaching eighteen, Jesse asks if she could come and look after her sister during the summer holidays as he will be working out of town for long stretches at a time. September jumps at the chance, not only to spend time with her sister but also to see the man that she loves and idolises. September throws herself into “wifely” duties, ensuring the house runs smoothly and everyone is happy and cared for and it is here that the lines begin to blur. September could be as conniving as the best of them and she is no martyr by any stretch of the imagination, but she was fighting for what she wanted by any means necessary. Coming up against a neighbour that could be just as conniving certainly makes for interesting reading and also ups the ante in the anger stakes too. For a girl that was inexperienced she could certainly flirt and knew how to use her fine womanly attributes. September actually becomes the seductress and I felt she actually took advantage of the situation, she took the lead. Poor Jesse didn’t really know what had hit him, but it seemed he had the same attraction to her for quite a while too, so in essence they were both as bad as each other. Yes, they are step-daughter and step-father, yes there is a bit of an age gap, but I read it the way the author intended, as a love story. We have the conflicted emotions, the rights and wrongs but the heart wants what the heart wants and when feelings and emotions are running high there is not much you can do about it. As they spent so much time apart, they didn’t have that close father/daughter bond so for me those boundaries hadn’t been crossed. Yes it is taboo, yes it is not the norm, but it can happen and it does happen. “...I don’t want you with me if you can’t trust it too.” There is a great plot running throughout both books, at times I was angry, at times I was sad, but the re-introduction of a certain character certainly brought a lot of anger back to the surface for me. This is where a new direction is taken and brings the story back full circle. The grandparents I wanted to throttle, as I did the neighbour and the mother. Some choices are hard to stomach but I can see why they were made, but at the end you do see the grown up September where she makes choices for herself and no-one else. For me I was glad that I read both books back to back, I felt the ending to book 2 was rushed and I didn’t feel completely satisfied at the end but loved the epilogue. I would also have loved a deeper character connection, while I felt it, I didn’t live it with them and at times I felt more lust than love, but overall I enjoyed their story and more importantly could empathise. www.theromancecover.com

Let the sinning commence. The only sin I can think of is not reading this book. It was brilliant with sinners at every turn. The mother, the neighbour, the friend. September and Jesse's world is full of them. Two people that love each other with everything they have end up not being able to have what they most want in the world, each other. Now if you've read book one in this fantastic series, you are not going to be able to put this book down. Yes it's a complicated relationship but you tell me w Let the sinning commence. Yes it's a complicated relationship but you tell me what relationships aren't. Forget who's related to who, there is no crime here, only love. September is at college, meeting new friends, working hard and missing Jesse terribly. Jesse is working hard, ignoring the wife LOL, it's only on paper people, the woman abandon them all years ago, let's not forget. He is trying to forget all about September and failing miserably. He will always love her, that much is very clear. The grandparents of September and Scout are desperate for Jesse and Sarah, formally known as Libby, to rekindle their love and give the marriage a second chance. Pfffft not in this life time. Sarah would jump at the chance but no way is Jesse that stupid. He is a caring, loving man but he no longer feels anything for her, she's Scout's mother and that's it. September hates her mother with a passion and in all honesty she has valid reasons. I don't think she will ever forgive her. God knows what the neighbour Casey is up to now, befriending Sarah, that woman wants Jesse all to herself, HA! another big fat NO. I think they are all forgetting one very important detail here, he's found real love and when that happens nothing can compare. So all the women that seem to be in heat around Jesse need to take a cold shower and quick. I just had mine haha!! Seriously the man is HOT!! Them rip off your clothes moments melted my panties. He's got everything any woman would want in a man, hard working, great father, helps around the house, fun to be with, caring, loving, pleasing to the eyes and an exceptional lover. What more could a girl want? Oh yeah for him to divorce his wife, that might help. September has yet another secret and Jesse is about to find out, giving September no option but to do as he says. Dominant Jesse is in the house, I love it. Bless Scout she's a great kid, probably knows a lot more than she should but that's life. Sometimes it's best to be open and honest because you want your children to do the same. September may have ended but the love in this story will last a life time. Happy smiles all round for a fantastic ending. I am now looking to see what other books this Author has written as her writing is off the charts epic. I began this title immediately upon completing Sins of September and I found it to be just as riveting. Unlike Sins of September which was told from September’s POV this title was told from alternating POVs. Unlike Sins of September which was told from September’s POV this title was told from alternating POVs. Now that I am able to get Jesse’s POV it was easy for me to develop a connection with him that I never got while reading the first book. In this installment, September leaves Jesse. I know you must be thinking why, after all the trouble she went through to get him. Well the unthinkable happened. Libby (September’s mom and Jesse’s wife had returned). September left because she did not have sufficient faith in Jesse’s love for her. Libby’s return threw a wrench into Jesse’s plan to divorce her and move on with his life. Scout, Jesse’s daughter wants a relationship with her mom, as she never got the chance to know her, while September wants nothing to do with her. What will Jesse do? Will Jesse stay married to Libby or will he go looking for September? There is a lot more drama in this installment. Jesse had to contend not only with his meddling neighbour (who wanted to drive a wedge between him and September) but also with his bible thumping in laws who did not approve of his relationship with their granddaughter. The actions of these characters made for an interesting read. I loved that the growth that Jesse demonstrated in this installment. He finally got himself out of that self- pity party that he was celebrating. He has proven that he is a man of action and is not afraid to fight for his right to be with the woman he loves. The one thing that disappointed me where this story was concerned was the way in which the situation with Libby was dealt with. Personally, I believe that she got off lightly. There may be persons who do not agree with me on this based on her traumatic experience, however it was evident she had not changed. She was still the selfish woman who had abandoned her family four years ago. The story was well written and the characters were well developed. The pace was just right; there was never a dull moment. I finished it in one sitting. I enjoyed this series and would definitely read more of this author’s work regardless of the name she chooses to pen her books under.

3.5 Star Read for Me I knew going into Silent Whisper that it was a paranormal read. I've read other books by Andrea Smith and have enjoyed them and the smoking hotness of them as well. I did not know what to expect from her in a paranormal setting. Though I felt in some parts of one of her previous series we got a good look at how she may go about it. While it did not work so well for me in that book it was completely believable in this one. Once you start reading the book, you quickly come to understand that while it is in fact a paranormal read the main focus is the love story something that Smith does well. Karlie and Dominic were swoon worthy and because they did own so much of the story made up for what I found lacking in Parrish at times. There is a great deal of mystery and plot twists that are unexpected. I cannot really say much more as I will never intentionally spoil a read for someone else. I recommend this book if you enjoy some paranormal, mystery, badass guys, and smoking hot romance. ARC Kindly Provided by Author For An Honest Review

Karlie Masterson was a young woman who through tragic events becomes an orphan then a prostitute, only to be taken from that life by Dominic Castellano, who's family caused the event. Through Karlie and Dominic's story, there will be revenge and love. We will also discover Parrish's connection to them and how the past converges with the present in order to bring everyone closure and peace. I have to admit that even tough most of this story took place in the late 80's, I'm not a fan of reading about the past in any way. It was really hard for me to get into it. I also felt like every step of Karlie and Dominic's early relationship took forever to get going. But once things took out, it took off with a shot. When the resolution happened, I cried like crazy. It was so sweet, yet sad. I love Andrea Smith's work and am so appreciative that she asked me if I would like the opportunity to read and review this book.

The first is Sins of September and needs to be read in order. September-pretty, brave and scared Jessie-hunky, scarred As September and Jessie’s journey continues we can see that the path taken is a hard one for both. In the latest troubling of waters comes a big wave that was not a surprise coming. With strength all things are made possible if only they truly believe in one another’s true love. Though doubt maybe in the forthcoming of times Jessie and September have hearts that let them astray but really how far do their true hearts go? Can the love that they have hidden from the world come to the forefront and be equalized to finding their common ground of two strong hearts? This is their amazing journey. When one gets lemons what does one do? Make lemonade? Sure that would be the obvious thing to do but what about making an amazing cake with the still amazing lemons but add the flour, water, eggs and sugar to the mix lets then bake it and taste the amazement of our creation. September and Jessie’s journey is one that will have you craving different but in an amazing yet tantalizing way. The author has done it again in this amazing 2nd book and to the conclusion of Sins of September. She has brought forth a closing that is one pure enjoyment yet a subtlety that no one else can come close too. When you think you have the book figured out this author takes us on a different path that will have you in pure Awe. Jessie and Septembers journey is fun, light, airy and sensual but also sorrowful. It will have you hoping for the conclusion to end all conclusions but in the end the author will surprise you with plenty of “Oh Wow” moments. Happy Reading

I honestly don’t know what to say right now. This book made me feel so many things that I actually do not know what is currently floating around in my mind if that makes any sense! From the very beginning, I was intrigued – a total page turner! Now, I have to say that I love Andrea Smith’s writing, but this one….wow, this one…this was something else! In the erotica genre, this is most definitely a VERY unique story. There was lust, love, mystery, suspicion, angst, more love, craziness and then I I honestly don’t know what to say right now. I am almost speechless with how I feel about this book and what happens all throughout. Let’s start with the plotline – first, we begin with one story and then morph into another one almost immediately. What?!? This is exactly what I was thinking when it was happening, but it undeniably works in this book. I will absolutely NOT give anything more away as spoilers are virtually impossible to avoid when talking about this book, but I do have to adamantly say that if you love major twists and turns, lust and love, you have to read this book. It will not disappoint at all! For all of our romantics out there, this is a true love story. Not necessarily the HEA that you are looking for, but you will swoon and cry the entire time and feel quite fulfilled at the end. After reading Silent Whisper, I am truly in awe of Andrea Smith’s creative mind and what it can produce. This book (and series I am sure) will go down as one of my all time favorites. From a girl who loves her erotica and thrillers, this book truly blew my mind! An ARC was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

If I could five this book more than five stars I would. I've read all of Andrea's books and I loved them all. But this is her best work yet. It's a mix of paranormal, romance and mystery all tied together. It's full of surprises and things you won't see coming. The deep connection of true love will leave you breathless. You will feel every emotion, whether it be love, heartache, happiness, or the deep connection of schoolmates, you'll definitely experience them all. It's a must read for anyone that believes true love last forever and never dies. The book revolves around the lives of Karlie, Dominic, and Parrish. There is a little time travel involved, as we go back in time to see the beginning of Karlie and Dominic's love story. We see how they fall in love and the progression of their lives together. Parrish is involved and you'll be shocked to see how. There is a mob spin in the story too, it's so good. Their love story is so amazing and breathtaking. I just can't praise this book enough. True love will span time and space and will never die. Everyone should definitely read this book.

I think the controversy surrounding them is silly. There's many more books out there way more taboo than this (and she WAS of legal age & He didn't raise her). It's a great story. I highly recommend it! Thank you, Grayson Blue/Andrea Smith for the opportunity to read this book!!

If I could give this book 10 stars I would. Paranormal romance is not what I usually read, and when I first heard this was a PNR I had my doubts. But, Andrea Smith erased all doubt and wrote a bittersweet, heart achingly beautiful PNR that will stay in my heart forever. This was not a far fetched story for me, I believe there is more to life after death, and Andrea Smith captured that to perfection. I don't do spoilers, all I can say is this is a must read.
