Nice reference book for those players that want to go wander in the woods. I know it's for an older edition of D&D but it still a really nice reference book. True story- the first time I read this book was when I found it at my local library in the non-fiction section with actual wilderness survival books. Growing up, I spent a lot of time camping in the woods and went through a phase where I wanted to learn wilderness survival skills. I also played AD&D at the time, so finding this book in that section was kinda funny. I don’t know if the librarian that put the book in that section realized what it was, but in their defense the book actually contain True story- the first time I read this book was when I found it at my local library in the non-fiction section with actual wilderness survival books. Some useful stuff but mostly a ridiculous overcomplexification of the game world.

Much like the Dungeoneer's survival guide, this helped flesh out dungeon master adventures and gave great details that I craved. Much like the Dungeoneer's survival guide, this helped flesh out dungeon master adventures and gave great details that I craved.

A good place to go when designing environments. Monsters are exciting but there are plenty of dangers to face in the wild.
