Priest remained corrupt but it took Milan to make him change his ruthless ways! My rating remains the same! ____________________________________________________________ Kaye Blue's "War" was another thrilling addition to the Romanian Mob Chronicles series. Priest, my favorite 'criminal' among these ruthless mob men was attending Vasile Petran's wedding when gunfire starts . Unfortunately, he was automatically perceived as the person responsible because of his lone wolf affiliation thus leaving him in a precarious situation. While his transportation is on the other side of the parking lot, he sees a caterer worker named Milan and well, forces her to drive! This leads a scared Milan to drive Priest to his neighborhood but he quickly observes something off! Priest now without resources put Milan in an even stickier situation leading them to hide out at her home but someone is watching in the shadows. They get to know each other a little better and the next morning he leaves. I immediately observed their attraction to one another but with Priest it is truly a first to want to protect a woman. He questioned his 'feelings' when Milan's best friend comes up dead in the very place Milan lives and knows he is responsible for her death and he sets out to right wrongs and find out who is trying to set him up as the bad guy as well as hurt all who knows him. Priest had to take Milan with him and gives her that opportunity to get vengeance on the person who was responsible for killing her only friend since grade school. Questions were answered in this book about the man who kidnapped Vasile's wife as well as other strange happenings in order to get to Priest. This was a suspenseful but smexy read also. I loved the way Priest changed once he met the right woman, Milan like all the fierce and brooding men in this series. Kaye Blue is always able to draw her readers in from page one to the end... She can mentions a situation and you are happy when she connects the dots to other characters or people from their tainted pasts. And such was the case with Priest aka Nikolai who was once a strong member in the Syndicate with Maxim. Blue at closing informed her readers that she will introduce another mob series, The Syndicate: Crime and Passion and Priest will be a part and of course Maxim who we discovered was Priest's mentor and former boss whose love interest will be Senna, the nice and nurturing woman in the syndicate who loved Milan's grits and shrimp in "War." 5+++ pleasing stars ******

Wow... Another fine job by Kaye Blue. War is the continuing Chronicles of the Romanian mob stories. In this installment we have the love journey of Priest and Milan. During the wedding someone tries to assassinate the bride and groom. As you can imagine it was pandemonium and somehow these two found themselves together. Both of them trying to get away from the madness but for different reasons. These to find out quickly that there are more alike than different. Good story fast-paced I'm sure you will enjoy this book as I did I recommended to you.

**I received an ARC from author/publisher in exchange for an honest review** Wow, I just couldn't wait for Priest's book. He has been one of the most fascinating characters in this series for me. And let me tell you, his book did not disappoint. Every time a new book in this series comes out, I say it's my favorite. I just can't imagine it getting any better but it always does. What a talented author. After reading this, it makes me want to start over on the series again. *I received this book as an ARC for an honest review* Of all the books in the Romanian Mob Chronicles, "Keep" has always been my favorite, but after reading "War", I find "Keep" lacking. The chemistry between Priest and Milan was undeniable in this book and I loved it. They were a perfect match!! I loved that Milan was just as strong and brave as Priest in her very own way. I mean the woman went to the Syndicte to get help for her man and she refused to take no for an answer. Now, I will say that there were some parts that did not quite flow for me, but I still enjoyed the book. I am so glad Priest got his own story!! Lastly, none of the books in this series have been "romantic" and this book was no exception. The books in this series were more about a man and woman being put in serious and dangerous situations, and in the midst of those situations, hot sex and love occur. Nothing more, nothing less. Anyway, I look forward to reading more about the Syndicate in Ms. blue's next book "Possess", which is Maxim and Senna's story. That should be an interesting story!!

I received for a honest review. Milan had not idea how bad of a day she was getting ready to have when her best friend talked her into taking her place catering a wedding. Priest will find himself on the run and taking Milan with him. He will start to develop feelings for her and things will start to get complicated. Not only is he falling for her but she is falling for him. Things will become very dangerous for Priest and Milan. Will they be able to get out of this life and death situation.

Kaye Blue has some kind of gift, at least in my opinion because she is somehow making these insta-love stories in this series work for me. I usually STRONGLY DISLIKE insta-love stories because they are so unrealistic, like who falls in love in three days? Fall in lust, yes, but LOVE, nah, I don't buy it. Ms. Blue has a way though of keeping me interested ( I mean I have read five books so far, when I usually wouldn't have lasted one) and I am here for all of the drama. Ms. Blue has a way though of keeping me interested ( I mean I have read five books so far, when I usually wouldn't have lasted one) and I am here for all of the drama. Okay, so War is Priest and Milan's story. I was so excited for this story because I have been intrigued by Priest since book one. I always felt that he was mysterious, elusive, dangerous and had so many secrets, since he was his own "clan" in a sense, with no set loyalty to anyone in the criminal underworld, but himself. This main factor, makes Priest nothing to mess with, since he has information on everyone, but it also made him a target for anyone that wanted to try and go against him. His knowledge and lack of clan protection made him fair game to anyone with a vendetta, as we learn throughout this story. Milan is a hard-working young woman, looking to fulfill her dreams in life, although she isn't quite sure what dream that will be, but she is optimistic that she will figure it out in time. However, a case of "In the wrong place at the wrong time" sends her life spiraling out of control, when at that exact "wrong time" she runs into Priest and her life begins to change forever. Overall, I liked this story, I liked the characters, especially Priest and new character Maxim ( I want to know what's his deal like ASAP), Milan was okay by me, not a favorite, but not a total bust either. I did knock a star off of the rating because I thought the story's plot was pretty good and somewhat plausible in that Priest could be a "wanted man" and has over the years made some enemies, I mean he is a major figure dealing with a lot of shady characters on a daily basis. HOWEVER, when I found out the reason Priest was being hunted, I was like "Really!????" I thought it was a ridiculous reason for this whole elaborate revenge plot. It was just silly at best, but the lead up to the revealing moment was pretty good. As a reader, I felt like the plot reveal was a prank on me or I was being Punk'd, I was waiting for Ashton Kutcher to jump out at any point. Anyhoo, I had to deduct some points, but the rest was a solid read, even the lovey bits. P.S. I love that Priest's name is really Nikolai, I really like that name, good choice Ms. Blue

Not as Good Priest and Milan were just okay. Their interactions didn't resonate with me as well as the characters in the other "mob" chronicles. There were also quite a few editing issues with irritated me and the storyline wasn't as interesting. In any event, I will order book #6 and continue with the series. So far, Vasile, Fawn, Sorin and Esther are my favorites. Not as Good Priest and Milan were just okay. This is still an enjoyable series, but the endings have gotten much more abrupt and I'm hoping we'll get to see a mob woman soon? I just think the whole "I love her but my life is too dangerous" story has become a little repetitive at this point and would like to see a couple with more of a partnership in the business. Love Priest and Milan Milan is carjacking after catering the wedding of Visile and Fawn. The attraction between her and Priest is palatable, but they initially fight it. When Milan is endangered, the two go on the run and their inevitable attraction comes to a head in some steamy scenes. Although some things are quizzical and too easily presented, such as Priest's enemy, his motive, and how he so easily finds Priest, we get to see more of Priest's past and affiliations. I especially loved how Priest took his time and allow Milan to be comfortable around him, it was so loving and emotional. The story takes on so many twist and turn as Priest is challenged with who is trying to set him up and start a mafia war. This is an awesome story full of secrecy, mystery and action which starts at the beginning of the story until the very end. The story has great flow and the characters really come to life. I loved Keep and Avenge but this one was an addition to the my best list. I have no intention of spoiling your reading pleasure by telling you the story of the book. I had read some of the other books in the Romanian Mob series. It was interesting to see Priest get his story this time. He is a very intriguing character with an unknown past. I loved Milan she was brave and independent and saw Priest for who he really was a bad ass with a gentle soul.Their bond was unbreakable even though for Priest this feeling of love was all new to him but Milan refused to give up on him. I recommend everyone to read this book.

***I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review*** I have really enjoyed the Romanian Mob Chronicles and was excited to finally get into Priests' story since he had been so mysterious. Well I definitely was not disappointed. Priest and Milan have such an amazing connection and I was also glad we were able to get a Vasile and Fawn update as well as a great segway into the next series. Kaye Blue did another great job! ***I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review*** I have really enjoyed the Romanian Mob Chronicles and was excited to finally get into Priests' story since he had been so mysterious. Damn Good Read- Fantastic read! The mysterious Priest's story is finally told in this follow up book. And what a wonderful story it is. He's everything you would imagine an Alpha male to be and then some. Absolutely loved the chemistry between Priest and Milan. They were ridiculously hot and perfect for each other. Kaye Blue's artful story telling at its best. Can't wait to see who's up next. Damn Good Read- Fantastic read! The mysterious Priest's story is finally told in this follow up book. Close call I love these Chronicles !! Milan warming Priests cold heart was so phenomenal , and I really started to believe in the end that he would stick to his final words on their relationship ( trying not to spoil anything) . Wonderful addition to this series. I am looking forward to more of this series.
