A political romance is a bold, bold move. Sophia Sasson's writing is flawless. Her characters are strong and real. There is never a dull moment in her books. She keeps the action moving at a steady clip. Can't wait for the next one!

Plot: 4/5 Characterisation: 4/5 Prose:4/5 How much I enjoyed it: 4/5 I was expecting the political aspect of the story to be glossed over but its interwoven with the story and making it seemed very realistic.

Alex Kat Since the first page it was an emotional roller coaster. You'll never got bored for sure. I loved it even when I wanted to kill both of the protagonists. I really like politics though I think I'd never venture into it. It was interesting to see how it works in USA, especially about the trops in Iraq. Im not american but I still know it's a controversial subject. ...fair doesn't matter in politics Alex Kat Since the first page it was an emotional roller coaster. You'll never got bored for sure. I love that Heartwarming tackled a political romance. Yeah. I did enjoy the realism of the office - I think the workplace, in this novel, was my favorite character :) I liked his backstory, especially his mother. I liked her history as a professor, but would have liked to see her ex-boyfriend get his due.

I got this free through Goodreads giveaways! Wholesome political romance. I enjoyed this book. Good writing. Quick easy read for a rainy afternoon.

While I enjoyed this book, obviously since I gave it 4 stars, I did think that Kat was a little naive about politics - especially as she's a political science professor. I would like to read the second book in the series, Mending the Doctor's Heart, because Anna Atao seemed like a very interesting person. Disappointing I typically love a political romance with smart, quick-witted characters. This was disappointing on several accounts: the dialogue was cheesy and flat and non of the characters really won me over. The story felt quick and forced and the relationship roller coaster of Kat and Alex was all over the place.

While I loved the story, I felt as if some things were a bit over dramatic.
