A fast-paced story with a sheriff suffering from amnesia and his deputy, on the run after an undercover assignment goes wrong. I enjoyed how the story kept me guessing and the puzzle of figuring out who the bad drug guy, Mr. X, really was. I’m eager to read more books from this series, and I especially will be eager for Blade’s book.

A gnarly suspense and an even gnarlier romance makes this one a nail-biter. Joanna is all grit and determination -- an over-achiever who often reacts before thinking something through. Not exactly the greatest attributes to possess when you're in law enforcement. At times I found her to be exasperating...and then Rees dishes out more of her back story and suddenly her reactions start to make sense. An unusual and unique plot point turns this gripping story into much more than a romantic suspense A gnarly suspense and an even gnarlier romance makes this one a nail-biter. This book I was able to identify with Joanna a little bit. However, I don't think that I would have reacted to the cancer as badly as she did. She was reckless and dangerous not only to herself but to those around her. I pray that I can become a person like Tyler with his unwavering faith. I forget some times that God is with me and that I can lean on him instead of letting my pride get in the way when I actually need to ask for help. I thought the female in the story was a bit dippy but all in all a good read. Lots of action!

This is the fourth book in the Navy Seal Defenders Series. I have really enjoyed this series and this book is awesome. Former Petty Officer Tyler Beck of Seal Team Four woke up in an empty jail cell in an abandoned prison with a pounding head ache. Gun fire was all around him and a woman was calling his name but was calling him Sheriff Tyler Beck instead of his military title. What was going on? He soon finds out he has lost seven years of his memory. The woman ends up being one of his deputies and is in trouble. How did this happen? He takes his deputy and runs until he can figure out what is going on. Deputy Joanna Graham has been undercover for the past six months. Suddenly her cover is blown and she is framed for drug trafficking. She turns to the only man she can trust, her boss. They have had some issues in their relationship, now he was unable to remember. Will he be able to help her find the man who set her up before he kills her? Now they find themselves on the run could this be a second chance for them? A journey to find out who the drug deal is and who is setting them up before they find them and kill them. God has a plan for these two and it's much greater than either of them could ever hope for. God has a plan for you too. Give Him your heart and control then watch Him work.
