2.4 stars. A book that could have been half as long and have exactly the same amount of valuable information.

there is very little here that can't be found free online elsewhere. There's a lot of commentary and quotations that don't really add much value. This is no reason to pay to get this book unless you are an absolute novice to the self-publishing and marketing world and you want an easy place to find the information without doing any research.

Food for Thought I found this book insightful. It definitely contained some food for thought for this hungry author. Things to consider while planning out my round of audiobooks in, hopefully, the near future. Thanks, you three!

4.5 STARS! A must read for both authors and beginner narrators. A practical look at the production of an audiobook from the perspective of both the author and the narrator, injected with humor, honest advice and real life examples.

As 2016 Audie Winners, you receive information detailing how to approach an audiobook project from start to finish, including selecting a narrator, contracts, marketing, promotions, social media groups, reviewers and pages specifically geared toward audiobooks. If you are looking to move into the audiobook world as a narrator, or enhance your book with an audio option, this book is perfect to help you reach your goal. Although I've not yet published nor am I a voice performer, this guide offers information I can use as I create a blueprint for my future endeavors. I highly recommend this be added to your library.

This was a really nice guide, unlike any I've found yet. Helpful information I wasn't aware of - like the rules for bundling a series in audio, confirming what I have learned about penname/psuedonames, and tips like affiliate links actually paying off if you give them a chance and place them well. The "When Things Go Wrong" chapter is particularly eye opening, especially if you *haven't* delved too far yet into the world of audiobook production - either as an author, or as a voice actor. I was really glad to get the chance to read this as an ARC!! Those wondering what they need to know before they go seeking talent, and for the others hoping to narrate; you'll appreciate what these three have so carefully laid out here.
