3.5 star rating I don’t know, I like this one; I didn’t like this one. In the beginning you get this passionate and caring male, Luke. He’s kind and so in love with the heroine, Meg. Unfortunately, she has a secret that could be devastating to Luke, which it is when he finds out the truth. But, he goes from this awesome male to somebody so disrespected and hurtful. I don’t think that Megan really deserved his harsh treatment. She, in the end, was really just looking out for him. But, he goes from this awesome male to somebody so disrespected and hurtful. I don’t think that Megan really deserved his harsh treatment. She, in the end, was really just looking out for him. Maybe she went about it all wrong, but she honestly just had his well-being at heart. When Luke finally comes down from his high-horse, he does realize how condescending and abusive he has been. He really is a good guy. He just had to get over Meg’s deception. Once he did, their relationship could progress into something so much more real and intimate. This was an up and down read for me. And, it all had to do with Luke’s character. I just couldn’t like him during the whole book. But, in the end he does redeem himself. This author’s writing was pretty intense with the scenes between Luke and Meg and also between Luke and his dad. There’s nothing worse than a parent losing their child so unexpectedly. So his parents grieved their oldest son wholeheartedly. It was very sad, especially for Luke’s mom. Eventually Luke’s story gave them hope and peace to accept the inevitable. It was more uplifting than one can conceive. This was my first Lane Hart read, and I’m sure that it won’t be my last...

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy another book from the Cocky Cage Fighters and this could only mean a hot as hell book. Oh yeah super hot. Have you read the other 7 books, yes I said 7 and I want more, from this series? If you have read them you know why I was so excited and happy for this one, if you haven't oh girl you don't know what you are missing... Just saying... If you have read them you know why I was so excited and happy for this one, if you haven't oh girl you don't know what you are missing... Just saying... Has everyone knows Lane Hart has a sweet, simple and super hot writing that will leave you wanting more, I really know what I'm saying because I've read a bunch of books written by her and I still want more. OK, I confess, I'm a gready girl and very proud of it. This new book tells the story of Luke and Megan. Luke is a fighter with a heavy past. He lost his brother in an accident and he misses him terribly every single day. He was in love with Megan and this could be an easy love but the fact that she was with her brother made her forbidden. On the day that his brother was buried they get back together for one night of passion. What will happen? Megan was a happy girl in love, but when he lost his life in a car accident she thought that her life would end until she reconnects with Luke and they get involved. She opted to leave her town and never come back but after 4 years she returns but she isn't alone... And let's talk about a bumpy ride, oh boy... This book is so intense, so amazing, so breathtaking that I can't find the proper word to describe this, I really can't. I'm not surprised that this book was freaking amazing, because let's face it, coming from this amazing author I wouldn't have expected less. Oh boy you are creating a monster Lane Hart, I hope you're aware of that. Just saying... I loved the plot, the characters, the ups and downs. I've cried, I've laughed, I was pissed, I was mad and hot as hell. Jeez so hot because those sex scenes were... yummy. And what a better way to end a book and found out that we will have another one from this series. I'm so happy because I'll be able to meet new characters and also keep up with the lifes of the other ones.

Luke by Lane Hart a heart-breaking five-star read. This is the eighth book in the Cocky cage fighter series, but they can all be read as stand-alone reads. I have read them as the series flows, Jax, Jude, Linc, Mace, Senn, Nate Trick and then Luke with Alex coming next, I am waiting with bated breath for Alex. I have loved each and every book individually but as a series they go from strength to strength, you see all of the Havok boys and girls popping up in each other’s stories giving us more history and depth to each character. It’s like trying to pick a favourite child picking a favourite book, they all have their own strengths and weaknesses. Reasons just like the men they are named after for being who they are and the stories they tell. Luke has always lived in the shadow of his older brother, feeling the guilt for being in love with his brother’s girlfriend, and a mistake he made the night of his funeral. The guilt of her running away and not returning until years later. Felling like he can’t move on as if he does he wouldn’t ever live up to his memory, knowing his mother would never be whole again if he ever left her behind. Life is just ticking along, never changing in some ways he’s still the same 4 years later, never able to move on. Until she returns and shakes his life up in ways that he can never imagine. Megan Warner left town four years ago, after the disaster that was her boyfriend of 2 years funeral, she has always felt like everyone leaves, no one loves her enough to care about her, apart from her aunt who took her in when she needed it most. But even she left a number of years ago. Her deceased boyfriend didn’t even love her enough to be true with her, and her parents have shown their true colours. Meg has one good thing in her life, but if she ever revealed the truth her life would never be the same again. But will she find out that sometimes when the truth is put life can move on and start again. This was a great second chance story, one of love and forgiveness, heart-ache and loss. Just because you know something to be true doesn’t make it a less bitter pill to swallow. True love doesn’t always run smooth, and when it doesn’t it just makes for a better story.

Poor sweet Luke - always getting the shit end of the deal it seems. It is not surprising he becomes embittered bordering on hateful but unfortunately with good reason. Megan comes back to Cary to start a new life and had made decisions that would affect certain people in a very profound way. Another gut-wrenching read from this wonderful author.

The sweet caring character of Luke from Abby and senns book is not who is portrayed here. This one is a jerk and need serious help. This is abuse and not love and I sincerely hope no one reads this book and wants to be just like Megan. She needs to get her head out of the dirt and realize that’s not how a woman should be treated! This book was such a huge disappointment I can’t even find the will to read or recommend this one to anyone.

This book had just about one of the SWEETEST HEA endings ever!!! Luke was in love with Megan all through his teenage years. Unfortunately she was older.... and dating his brother, Eli. They only thing that I was kind of bummed about with this book was the lack of voyeurism. We previously learned that Luke likes to watch, and be watched. I had thought that there would be more of that in his story. But the lack of it didn't take away from the greatness. On more than one occasion I found myself tearing up a little, and also getting mad at the characters.

I will never tire of reading her books. They always hit the spot!!! Highly Recommend!!!

Love Lane Hart Cage Fighter series, Luke and Megan story is so emotional, when you read the book it's like your on this rollercoaster with them, you feel their heartbreak, anger, guilt, deceit then you consider their ages, Megan a few years older and Luke being 20 and not dealing well with any of his emotions he is feeling for Megan makes him come across as not the sweet caring guy we seen in Senn & Abby story. Not as good as the others... I was bit disappointed with this one. Ive enjoyed this series so much, but i just wanted to smack Megan upside the head and punch Luke in the face. As for Abby as the BFF, and still one of my least favourite characters in the whole series, i just found her to be unlikeable...but then i thought that about her in her own book. Would i recommend this book? Probably not, but i would recommend the series, and it would feel incomplete to the series to not read it.

I fell in love with Luke in Senn's story and was so looking forward to reading his HEA story. He was such a sweetheart. He was our gorgeous Luke in the beginning of this story but then a secret exposed turns him into a nasty piece of work who I was both disappointed in and disgusted by. The sex scenes had my stomach turning. Luke came right in the end but by then the damage had already been done for me. I need to like my characters to enjoy a book and Megan was a pushover because of her guilt, e I fell in love with Luke in Senn's story and was so looking forward to reading his HEA story. Consequences Luke is constantly in his brothers shadow, the "favorite" son, perfect student and boyfriend. Even after death Luke still doesn't feel he will ever Krause up to what his brother would have been, if he had survived the crash. This book shows you how far forgiveness can go if you really try. And how even if it's taught every Sunday, forgiveness isn't always easy, even when you love someone.

Mixed thoughts The series has been a bit hit or miss for me. In previous books Luke came over as sweet, caring and fun loving. In his own story he does a 360 degree change. Some understandable attitude but some behaviour cruel. That said his parents needed a kick up the pants. Not sure I understood the underground fighting and the assault and then the happy ever after ending. As I said mixed thoughts as to the book, but felt needed to read the series.

The truth won't always set you free Luke is the good son. Or had tried to be over the last few years since his brothers death. 20 years old still living at home to help take care of his mother after loosing Eli his older brother. When Megan who is Eli's older brother ex girlfriend shows up with a 3 year old son that looks like he could be Eli's the stuff hits the fan.

Eh, this was okay. I just honestly don't agree with a woman hiding her child from their father, unless the circumstances involve violence or hate of some kind then there really isn't ever a good enough excuse to do something so insensitive, especially to a person who doesn't deserve it and Luke, while young, didn't deserve it.

Luke Loved this book! So much trade by and pain give way to a beautiful love story! This is a much different side to Luke than what we saw in Senn and Abby’s story. He’s not as much of the carefree kid as he grew up quickly after learning about Lennox. Another beautifully written book in this series. Now to move on to the next one!

This one was the most disappointing of the series by far! Every single person in this book needed to grow the hell up. Well, except for Lennox but since he is 3 that's not saying much. Everyone made poor choices and the ending was extremely frustrating.

This book was a great addition to the Cocky Cage Fighter books. We had gotten a peek at Luke in previous books but I didn't know what to expect from him. I loved him and yet was mad at him often throughout the book. He had been through so much even though he was young. I really enjoyed his journey even if it was heartbreaking at times. With Megan, I had so many conflicting emotions but I couldn't help but want things to be perfect for her. She had also endured many hurts through her life.
