What a thing to happen on your first day on the job. There were a few Authors I had not read their work before, I enjoyed their stories also, some I will be looking for more of their work in the future. James Dean, Kya Aliana, James Wallace ,Doug Dandridge, William Allen, and Greg P Ferrell. All in all I gave it four stars for the stories that were written well. The few typos & grammar issues, really didn't make a big difference in those few stories anyway. The premise of this collection was pretty entertaining and quite well planned. They are all trapped in a huge Security wise state of the art building and have to use what they have on hand to try and survive. As you can imagine some businesses will have more at hand than others would. How good are you at being able to think outside the book? How about if your life depends on it? What happens when the whole building goes on lock down and there is no easy way out. I was given an Advanced copy of this book by one of the contributing Authors.

Lockdown is a cool zombie Horror anthology featuring a couple of my favorite zombie authors. The basis of the anthology is there is a 13 story building which is supposed to be one of the most secure buildings in the city of Chicago that is placed on lockdown after an attack of some sort in the lobby. The stories are what are happening on each floor as the lockdown is occurring. I think it’s a fun way to set up an anthology. One of the things I liked about Lockdown was the setup. With any office building, there is usually a variety of businesses contained within. In this building, there are things from tattoo parlors, to robotics labs, to apocalypse prepping, to a seemingly mythological porn studio. I think it adds to the variety of situations each floor is placed in and gives the reader plenty of different scenarios they could find themselves in had they been in that situation. On occasion, there are references within the stories linking them to other stories in the book. I liked that as well. I thought it was a cool way to keep everything connected. My favorite story was Merry Maids by Kate Cord. It was pretty twisted. Some of the stories have a bit more humor in them than others. Overall, Lockdown is an exciting anthology, providing the reader with a variety of scenarios and stories that are relatable to for the most part. It makes us really think about what the perfect place to have been caught in the apocalypse would be, and what could go wrong if you are. I do find myself wondering what happens next for all of the stories.

Now more than ever I'm happy I don't work in an office building. This anthology about zombies in an high-rise office building is a non-stop action packed ride of desperation and fighting for survival. Each floor from 1 to 13 is written by a different author with their own take on what happens. I've read most of these authors before but some that I hadn't read previously I will now. A thumbs up to all the authors contributing to this awesome anthology.

Awesome collection of short stories by some really great authors all offering their own unique spin on what would happen if a zombie outbreak starts at work which happens to be a high security building that goes into complete lockdown. On the bright side, the monsters outside can't get in, but what about the ones that are already there?

Interesting story of survival! Awesome story written by numerous authors. Even though it was several short stories, the book flowed seamlessly. Very well written and highly recommended for all zombie lovers!

For a short story it was quite good and much better than the others that were before and after it. Made me long to read book 5 from the Odium series though. Can't wait!
