One of the most inspiring yet tragic books I've read in recent years. It opened my eyes to the plight of Afghanistan and through its format, diaries to the author's wife, it tells the story of terrible suffering but also of great courage and hope. A very important book for our times. One of the most inspiring yet tragic books I've read in recent years.
