Well then. This was an experience. As you can guess from the title, this book is very eccentric. However, I think that 'erotic' is a total misnomer - yes, each story included some kind of sexual element but I think this book is the definitive article on the difference between 'sex' and 'sexy'. The stories are all very different from each other, the only common elements being food, sex and weird. It's a mixed bag in terms of quality of story and writing style, which is usually the case in anthologies - but even my least favourite stories weren't terrible! To give you and idea of the kind of weird that you can expect from this book, here are brief synopses of my two favourite stories: A baker's giant biscuit is stolen and sexually assaulted by a gang of homeless men. An alternative take on Hansel and Gretel, where a gingerbread Gretel bespells men to do her bidding by making them eat bits of her. I'd recommend this book for people with a twisted sense of humour and a willingness to try new things- If the title doesn't immediately turn you away, give it a go!

Such a naughty book! Being chosen from a list of over 200 entries means each story has something special about them, whether it be the erotic, the horror or the cuisine. My favourite stories were: Biscuit, because of the mystical element, the 'ewww' factor and the ending that brought an evil grin to my face. The Stray, because it was so strange and unexpected, the food was definitely a shock! Overall it is a fantastical collection that disturbs in many ways but all fun to read. *I voluntarily read Such a naughty book! A Woman’s Corn - Two secret lovers with more secrets then either of them knew, brings about a special witches brew while the devil stews. By J. Charlies Chunky Munching Meat - A tale of obsession over a certain pink meat, gone too far. By Stephen McQuiggan Made me chuckle Charlie had so hard times, he has been a few places he should never have been. His last stay end with him in prison. He has become obsessed with one meat for a reason but I am not so sure many men would trade place with him. As a woman I hope to never see the likes of Charlie. Halloween Nosh - Two old-world vampires celebrating their love during the holidays with a special feast in the dungeon. By Brandon Ketchum This story puts a new light on what’s for dinner. Let’s hope it won’t be you! This is a couple I never want to meet nor would I like an invite for dinner. Biscuit : A Love Story - A baker's dreams destroyed by a homeless man with unnatural hungers, leads to super-natural revenge. By Grivante One way to use a biscuit but not one I would want to, nor would I want to eat it after the deed has been done. I can’t blame the man for wanting revenge but lord the way he didn’t it even had me in shock. Be very careful how you get your thrills or they might bite you back. Burnt Scrambled Eggs - What happens when your succubus lover stays over for breakfast? By Devon Widmer I think I missed something here for me this made no sense. The Disagreeable Dinner - Ever eaten a bad meal? Not like this one. Join us for this strange and hilarious case of food poisoning By Mark Daponte Strange is true hilarious not so much, another one I just could not get into, didn’t make much sense. Sugar - Honey is sweet, but when a potential sugar daddy turns out to be one of her high school teachers, a night of planned BDSM fun ends in a most unsavory of ways. By Darla Dimmelle BDSM as you have never seen it. After listening to this you might change your mind and think vanilla isn’t so bad after all. Even I felt sorry for this man, I bet he wish he had never made that date The Henry Problem - Fruit as an aphrodisiac, exorcisms for dummies? All that and more! By John Grey A cute fun listen about a dead husband who wouldn’t go away and a wife who couldn’t get luck until he did. Nibble, Nibble, My Wolf - It’s all the rage to reimagine fairy tales these days and this story gets it right in the most beautifully twisted and erotic way. By J.L. Boekestein A very unique twist to this fairy tale makes you rethink it and who the wolf is The Wrath of the Buttery Bastard Taters - GMO’s are out of hand. A couples romantic dinner turns into a nightmare when their frankenfood decides to eat them instead. By Alex Colvin I will never see instant potatoes the same again, you might want to think before you fix any. GMO is just not for me. lol Sauce - When cooking lessons lead to a new fetish, narcissistic Bart, takes self-satisfaction to a new level. By Steven Carr WOW that is one way to fix and eat a sauce. I think the lady in question sure was surprised. What a nightmare. I think I would have to pass on this sauce just not my way of tasting food. The Care and Feeding of your Personal Demon - Be careful what you wish for. Sometimes, asking for a little help from down below can come with a lifetime of demented and hilarious torment. By Maxine Kollar SOoooooooooooooooooo nasty you will never see food the same again. Do not eat why listening to this one. The trouble with Demons is they get you into more trouble, your days of being innocent are over. P.A.C.D. The Kitchen of Tomorrow, Today! - Advancements in technology are often quickly perverted for sexual experimentation. Find out what happens when a couple’s cooling romance heats back up with a new kitchen appliance. By R.A. Goli Lesson if your husband every wants to redo your kitchen just say no…thanks but no thanks. Next lesson never play with the appliances lol. Arabica - Do you like coffee? Maybe a little too much? Here’s a tale of a woman using BDSM aversion therapy to overcome her caffeine addiction. By Cobalt Jade This one was a little confusing. Toilet Manners - Marital impropriety leads to the strangest meal of a man's life after a visit to a glory hole inside a fancy french restaurant. By Eddie Generous Shaking head I don’t even know what to say. The Stray - Is the story of a man's lifelong dedication to helping strays. But, what happens when one gets a little upset when he announces he is moving away. By Calypso Kane This was cute and funny but I will never pick up another stray you never know what you might get. The Old Man in the Suit - Voodoo and baked goods outside a lesbian bar during Mardi Gras. By Nicholas Paschall Alwaya but always show respect or you might be a dish of food, if you are lucky enough you might be a chef or you could end in hell…..your call….. This one left me with my mouth hung open. I needed to put my hand up to push it closed. All over there were some very fun, cute and interesting stories here. Some where a little confusing and downright nasty. Some I chuckled at others I just blinked and said what the heck where as others my mouth just hung open. Ms. Cambridge narration was pretty good. At times it sounded like she was reading where at other times she needed to take a longer pause to let it sink in. There was no background noise, no volume changes and if any breaks were taken I could not tell. Character voices were nice I had no trouble knowing who was talking or even what they were feeling. The sound effects were good there was one where it sounded like she was at a distance which is what needed to sound like. The emotions were good which really added to the listen. I haven’t listened to anything by her before but enjoyed her narration. With a longer pause here and there it would have been better. When she gets to the end of a sentence she kind of draws it out which isn’t natural and needs some work. All in all it was a good narration. This is a nice way to get a touch of the authors to know if you like their writing style. I did like A women Corn the best. There were a few others I really enjoyed and others just went over my head and some I thought was downright gross. It was an enjoyable listen but not one I think I want to listen to again. Fun, cute and different.

Donnait), Biscuit (By Grivante), Burnt Scrambled Eggs (By Devon Widmer) and Stray (By Calypso Kane). The Disagreeable Dinner (By Mark Daponte) was quirky at its best. Curiously, respited the very frequent, detailed and fully explicitly sexual experiences, it remains unrelentingly non-erotic. Sex, but not sexy. This, in part at least, is down to the narration. Although her character dialogue was good, Missie Cambridge read the linking texts more like an automaton, clear but without any accompanying emotion, with a slow timing also blitzed with odd, out of place mini pauses. The whole had a sense of the totally surreal with Missie Cambridge's voice being just another misplaced ingredient. All of which is not to say that this book failed to entertain. There were some truly humerous chapters, including the battle to survive in the delectable, Wrath of the Buttery Bastard Taters, and in the inherent dangers of programming a kitchen droid to inadvertently do something other than cook: good advice to be found there! My thanks to the rights holder for gifting me a complimentary copy of Mashed, via Audiobook Boom. Not really my cup of tea but it was fun whilst it lasted.

I had absolutely no idea what to expect when this short story collection was sent to me for review. I didn’t know how the authors would combine horror, food and sex in seventeen different stories. Somehow … they did it – be it that the stories were super weird and not really scary or thrilling at all. Imagine a biscuit so soft and sweetly scented that it gets gangraped by a group of bums. Yep, weird. When I think of “erotic”, I don’t exactly imagine the scenes of MASHED. Yep, weird. When I think of “erotic”, I don’t exactly imagine the scenes of MASHED. In my opinion, most of them were not erotic – they were just about sex, the genitals or panties. They weren’t sensual nor consensual in some cases. That’s not erotic. That’s rape. Nevertheless, the writing of each story was quite good! Besides the extreme weirdness of most of them, all of them actually made sense when it comes to chronology! Goli – “Arabica” by Cobalt Jade * I received an ecopy of this anthology in exchange for an honest review *

This book was definitely different. I've met some people with twisted imaginations but the authors in this book far exceed them. Each story contains food, sex and some element of horror. No 2 stories are the same. That alone is an accomplishment, considering how many stories there are. I wouldn't say I "loved" this book but it was certainly interesting. I won this book in a giveaway. I was hoping that this was going to be on the same level as my favorite erotic horror series, but so far it's not even close. To be fair, I've only read a third of the stories, because I just haven't found them that interesting. I wanted to be scared, turned on, or a little scared that I'm turned on, but I've found myself none of these. With short-story books, I typically like reading a few stories here and there while taking a break in between other books or when I I won this book in a giveaway. This book was er... interesting.. This is a collection of short stories where each story contains food, horror and sex somewhere in the story. Some were interesting, and some were just totally out there. The writing was pretty good, just some of the stories did not excite me, and some were just very bizarre. Some of the stories I kind of skipped through as they did not get my interest. If you want something totally different this is a book for you! I did enjoy some of the stories in the book!

I absolutely loved this collection of short erotic and food driven stories. I enjoyed the variety that comes from having many different authors, and I thoroughly enjoyed the various ways in which the food matter was dealt with, several of which had surprise twists to them. This is a voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
