This is, surprisingly, not terrible. I actually like it more than a non-fiction Valentine's Day picture book I read earlier today. It has just as little history about the holiday, but at least in this book there's a bit of a story. When Peppa gets a valentine from her friend Zoe, she doesn't even know what it is. Her parents explain to her about the tradition of giving valentines, and then Mummy Pig suggests that they have a Valentine's Day party for the kids' friends (Mummy Pig is brave). So Peppa and Zoe set about delivering all the invitations. On the day of the party, all her friends show up and they dance, sing, and eat lots of sugar (Mummy Pig is very brave). I'm still not a fan of the illustrations, but if kids like the TV show, they'll probably like the books based on it. Overall, this isn't a terrible Valentine's Day picture book. It's not great, but it's certainly not the worst one I've read today.

We love Peppa and we love Valentine’s Day so this cute little book packed a double pleasure punch. Honestly, my preschooler enjoys Peppa stories much more than I do but this is a nice little storybook with a plot, favorite characters, cute illustrations and a nice little message about friendship.

If you (or the person you're reading with) is a Peppa Pig fan, you're going to like this book. The 7 yr old I read with liked pointing out the British spelling "Mummy". She also noticed that zebra is spelled "normal" but on the show it's pronounced differently.

My favorite part was when Daddy Pig gave Mommy Pig a Valentine.

This is a cute book to read kids around Valentine’s Day to give them a better understanding of the holiday.

I'm not super fond of Peppa Pig, but I can see why kids like the brightly colored illustrations and the kind of simplistic stories that she stars in. This was a cute story if you are into Peppa Pig.

Okay, so I think Peppa and her family are terrifying looking, but this is a pretty good option if I ever choose to do valentine's day storytime in future years.

Great to read before Valentin's day Great to read before Valentin's day. My four year old told the story in her own words. We enjoyed it together..
