This collection truly overwhelms me. The words, the reminders you’ve been wanting to hear will seep right through you. “never let the fire that lives in your soul burn out.”

you are stitched together from brittle bones and delicate flesh. you've got a mind made of magic and a stained glass heart. you are not indestructible. you will break. but oh, you will also heal. you are stitched together from brittle bones and delicate flesh. you've got a mind made of magic and a stained glass heart. you are not indestructible. you will break. but oh, you will also heal.

4 stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ god, the author is sweet sweet sweet. she ends the book telling us her motivation for this collection of poems “i wrote this to tell you the things you seem to have forgotten, the things this world has told to you differently. the things you have told to yourself differently.” there were many of these I wrote down into my diary and that reminded me of nayyirahs or rupis way to see the world. I will look forward for every new release of her. “no amount of makeup will cover what lays ben 4 stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ god, the author is sweet sweet sweet. she ends the book telling us her motivation for this collection of poems “i wrote this to tell you the things you seem to have forgotten, the things this world has told to you differently. the things you have told to yourself differently.” there were many of these I wrote down into my diary and that reminded me of nayyirahs or rupis way to see the world. It was really meh. I thought it would be more interesting. Quotes i liked: i’m a sucker for pain, and you’ve got blood painted all over you. when they ask you about me, i hope you tell them how i was your most beautiful mistake how can i expect you to love me when i don’t even love myself? he talks so much, yet says nothing at the same time still to this day, you are my favorite goodbye each day, i forget you a little more. i feel you a little less. i love you a little less.   it’s all going to be okay It was really meh. [ Me : the more i fall in love with myself, the less admiration i need from others Them : you left, and i’m still alive.   the thing about life is we always survive You : maybe if we spent a little more time chasing the things we need, then maybe we wouldn’t feel so unsatisfied with the things we want ] On of those books that i'm sure i will re-read it again and again . This was an easy read that lacked the ka-pow I look for in poetry. Much of the collection did not read like poetry at all but as good, sound advice. you are under no obligation to spend time with people who make you feel lonely.

Just wow. The poems in this collection are just breathtaking and heartbreaking. All of the self love and acceptance pieces moved me especially and I have highlighted quite a few to refer back to in the future, which can only tell of how uplifting they are. I loved reading this collection and I honestly look forward to more pieces in the future.

I enjoyed parts of this, but some other parts felt cliche and repetitive. I didn’t find myself reaching for this often - I just didn’t find a lot of connection to it.

Kiana Azizian's collection of poetry is related to what we feel in our daily lives. Some of the poems took my heart away. The most important thing in a poetry is that it should connect with a human heart, with a human pain and this collection of poetry is all about the emotions, feelings and a heart break. pretty: what a little word to describe me. intelligent, honest, loyal, creative, eloquent. i’m so much more than my looks. i’ve got a thing for the type of people who are undeniably themselves- the type of people with messy hair and even messier souls, the people who wear their hearts on their chest and passions in their tears. i’ve got a thing for those people who laugh at their own jokes and rejoice in their own success. the people for me are the ones who fight for what they believe in and never let their spirit settle. i adore all the people who have the strength to remain soft and the fire to burn hard. these ar i’ve got a thing for the type of people who are undeniably themselves- the type of people with messy hair and even messier souls, the people who wear their hearts on their chest and passions in their tears. i’ve got a thing for those people who laugh at their own jokes and rejoice in their own success. the people for me are the ones who fight for what they believe in and never let their spirit settle. i adore all the people who have the strength to remain soft and the fire to burn hard. these are the types of people i’m in love with. these are the types of people i want in my life.

I remember seeing this book a few months ago and just looking at the cover. I'm one of those people that actually judge books by their covers but I liked this one. It was simple. I got it at a book store and I took it home and read it. Let me tell you that this is the book that got me into loving poetry. I loved this book with all my heart and I relate to so many of the pages that I read! It's just one of my favorites and I would recommend giving this a read! It reminds me of the one-liners I usually tell people which leaves them thinking how deep I am. It's not bad but the central idea of the book is very..typical. I think I should stop reading such poetry. That's my problem :].Nevertheless, it had its own emotions. I will give the credits to understand the concept but nothing appealed to me all that much. I wouldn't rate it more than 1.5 from my side. It reminds me of the one-liners I usually tell people which leaves them thinking how deep I am. “anger is toxic and will lead you nowhere. it will only cheat you from your happiness. your kindness. your sweetness. open the bottle and release of all the anger you have collected. free your heart from the rage. the fury. let go of the resentment. bitter does not look good on you. anger does not suit you.” what a beautiful words. it helps me a lot💕

A deep insight to wanting someone back and loving someone but knowing your self worth and staying strong despite how they make you feel. The author writes her pain and feelings away seemingly to be able to move on from her past relationships. Very helpful and very motivating to focus on yourself and self love.

Not as intense as others but just as good I love short stanza and simplified poetry, and this was perfect. It's definitely not as intense as similar artists who use the same style, but it stand alone on its own.
