    The Book Junkie Reads . . .

Dr. Hannah Fielding & Navy SEAL Noah Ryker took me on a ride that gave me that extra something that I had been looking for in the previous reads from this series. I got it all and then a bit more. I was loving it all the way. Of course a cute sweet innocent makes things that much more appealing. Grief makes for a new line of communications. It allows fellow grievers to be able to make connections with each other. For Hannah, losing her husband and Noah, losing his sister, life takes on a new direction for them both. They have danger coming at them from multiple sides. This was intense with grief, drama, natural disaster, bad guys, injury, pain, sorrow, and protection. There are no readily available safety nets in place. This was a true distressing event that brought action and intensity to the for front of an innocent and her child.

Kidnapped by the Seal (Hero Force) by Amy Gamet   Amy Gamet is such an introspective writer, it's easy to forget she's also a passionate romantic.  When the two sides meet, books like Kidnapped by the Seal are a forgone conclusion.  Heartbreaking moments, passionate characters and suspenseful plot lines. There's a thrill around ever corner, a never ending puzzle to be solved and a few life lessons.  Thought provoking, emotional and adventurous.

Really enjoyed this one. It was a little graphic for my tastes but I liked the characters and the plot. Noah was a Navy SEAL who came to Hilton Head after his sister's death to clean out her things. A hurricane is approaching. After getting into a gunfight with someone he's wounded and needing to hide. He heads for the closest place he can find, a convenience store, and ends up forcing a doctor, Hannah, and her son, Brady, to come with him at gunpoint. She stitches him up and she comes to find out he's one of the good guys. Her late husband, Joe, knew Noah 's sister, Lizzie, and was working with her to stop the bad guys. Don't want to say much more and give something away. It turns out they all three become targets. Noah is determined to protect Hannah and Brady and find out what happened to his sister and Joe. But first they have to talk shelter from the storm. Of course the two of them develop feelings for one another though both have their reasons for not wanting to get involved. Plenty of suspense, a nice love story, and wholly likeable characters made this one an entertaining way to pass an afternoon. Definitely recommend it.

As soon as I begin to read, Noah, stops to help some men, and gets shot. He is already troubled because his sister is dead, and he has come to investigate her alleged suicide. He does not believe that she killed herself. Hannah, a doctor, had helped transport all of the patients out of the hospital she works in. Because of that, she is too late to be able to leave before the hurricane arrives. Therefore, she and her son plan to ride it at home. Meanwhile, Hannah is stocking up before the hurricane, and Noah is looking for help with his leg. When he realizes that Hannah is a doctor, he asks for her help. Unfortunately, the way he asks her is definitely not the way to make friends. During this time, Noah discovers that his sister and Hannah’s husband both died around the same time, and that both worked in accounting at the same hospital, and he becomes suspicious. They both go to the hospital to investigate. Meanwhile, they find out that someone is trying to kill them. So, while they are investigating in the hospital, Noah, Hannah and her son have to find a place where they can stay safe from the hurricane and from some person or people who are trying to kill them. This book is exciting as the characters meet one complication after another. I love the twists and turns throughout the book, as we try to figure out who is chasing them and why. They also develop an attachment that has to take a back seat to their other problems. I liked the fact that this book is about a hurricane since that seems very current these days. I also like the characters because the characters are both independent and stubborn people who work together to solve their issues..

The only way to make any sense of her death is to go to Lizzie's Condo on Hilton Head Island Beach in North Carolina. He packs for every contingency and with enough food and gas to keep him for awhile he stares down the incoming hurricane with the attitude that matches his anguish over his dead sister. When he realizes that he doesn't have enough beer to drown his sorrows he heads down to the nearest bodega but along the way he sees something that he shouldn't have and things go bad to worse in a matter a seconds. Now with a GSW in his thigh, two flat tires and a dead cop he doesn't have many choices so he heads to the bodega for some help. Doctor Hannah Fielding and her son Brady are stopping at the bodega to get some bread the milk before the hurricane hits but because Hannah has been working at the hospital until every patient is evacuated she hasn't been able to properly prepare for the incoming hurricane. She and Brady race to the store from the car and she meets a tall dark and handsome stranger who overheard the clerk call her Doctor Fielding. When mother and son make it back to the car they find an extra passenger with a gun asking for help. I have loved this series from the very first book! Amy Gamet blends romance and military action into some great stories. Kidnapped by the SEAL might just be one of my favorite, little Brady stole most of the scenes he was in and for a five year old he was braver then most adults. I love the letter to Santa at the end, be prepared to fall in love with this adorable little boy his momma and and Noah the big bad Navy SEAL. I was gifted an ARC and voluntarily read and reviewed

With hurricane Oscar baring down on the island, all Noah wants is a beer. But on the way to the local bodega he sees something he shouldn't and everything in his life is about to flip upside down. Widower Dr. Hannah Fielding refused to leave the island, insisting on staying at the hospital until the last patient was transported out. Now she has her son and only has one quick trip to a local market for a few essentials before getting them safely to their apartment. What she doesn't see coming is a man with a bullet wound taking her and her son hostage. Her biggest issue, besides staying alive in the storm, is trying to decide if he is truly a danger or someone she can trust to protect her and her young son. As Noah and Hannah hunker down with her son to ride out the hurricane Hannah begins to see him as a lot more than a captor, and she isn't sure her heart can take the loss she knows will follow the storm out to sea. And when points begin to line up connecting Hannah's husband's death to Noah's sister's death things will really get dicey as more and more trouble keeps finding these two. I cannot say enough good about this author. Amy Gamet has a clever and creative mind when writing that leads us on a dramatic and exciting path, feeling the emotions of each characters and not wanting the book to end. I could not put this book down! I am voluntarily providing my review of this advance reader copy.

I've been in love with this series from the beginning but this might just be the best one yet. From the fury of an out of control Mother Nature to the insidious evil men inflict on one another, this book has everything: drama, suspense, intrigue, action, and the author's somewhat ruthless use of the question "what's the worst that could happen?". When doubts about his sister's suicide compel him to dig into her death, Noah finds himself in the middle of a much bigger mess than he could have imagined. Hannah's always questioned the heart attack that took her late husband from their family but she never would have guessed it would take a hurricane to unravel the puzzle. The instant and powerful chemistry between Noah and Hannah is obvious from their first meeting. I loved how Noah steps up to protect her and Brady from everything that's happening around them - even when he's being a jerk about it. I especially liked how strong and independent Hannah is. She's a capable professional who's been overwhelmed by circumstances. She stands up for herself and her son and even offers Noah support when his strength falters. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book because it looks like we go back to where it all started, with Hawk and Olivia. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.

Janelle Tedesco is doing an amazing job with this series and I can't wait to see how the last book ties it all out!

I fell in love with Noah from the start. Gamet knows how to build a character that speaks to the reader. The plot was interesting and fast paced. The character of Hannah is the perfect complement for Noah but there is a lot to get through before they can find their HEA. Gamet knows how to build a story that pulls the reader in from the beginning and holds them to the beautiful end. MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Dr. Hannah is just trying to get a few supplies for her and her son. When Noah finds out she is a doctor, he actually kidnaps her so she can see him up.
