Opposite attracts when alleged mob boss Antonio Spinelli & Theresa Drazen’s worlds of politics, movies, money, mafia & corruption collide! “How straight you are for the world, and how you bend and cry for me. I want to go so deep in you we have the same thoughts.” Songs of Corruption is the whirlwind saga of alleged mob boss Antonio Spinelli and Theresa Drazen. It’s a STAND-ALONE sequel series to Songs of Submission and Songs of Dominance and thus most enjoyed if read after and in order: Book 1: Spin Book 2: Ruin Book 3: Rule Spin (book 1) opens up to glum life of Theresa Drazen, Tink, the career woman, good sister, loyal friend and forgiving ex-fiancé’s life. Six months prior she had found her then fiancé, District attorney and Mayor of Los Angeles candidate, Daniel in bed with his speechwriter. Since then she has maintained a friendship with her ex, continued her work as the head of client accounting for talent agency WDE and had her long-time friend and movie producer Katrina move in while taking on the job has her script supervisor on her free-time. But on the inside she is tired of being composed, tired of the status quo. One evening while out with her brother, Jonathan (Songs of Submission) she briefly meets a handsome stranger she can’t forget. At another “chance” encounter a few days later she learns he is attorney Antonio Spinelli, Spin, recently arrived from Italy. Their attraction and sexual tension is palpable and instantaneous when two opposites attract offering some off-the-charts sex up against walls and furniture, but Antonio is slippery… and so a game of cat and mouse begins… Soon Theresa aka Contessa discovers that Antonio aka Capo is also an alleged mob boss, money launderer and murderer under investigation. Yet with little in common and much to lose they cannot seem to stay away. Antonio appears both taken with her grace and beauty and intrigued by her fearlessness and guts. Theresa is drawn to his beauty, sexiness and lifestyle to the point of feeling reckless. Spin follows Antonio and Theresa in a high-stakes game as the worlds of cut-throat politics, competitive movie industry and ruthless organized crime collide for Songs of Corruption. Strap on your seatbelts for their against-all-odd’s love story with suspense, secrets, deceit, jealousy, treachery, ambition, corruption, danger and more. “Your first loyalty is to me. Every moan on your lips, Every wet drop from your cunt. When the thought of fucking crosses your mind, it’s mine. Say it.” Antonio Spinelli, Spin aka Capo is every bit the enigma with all the qualities of a larger-than-life hero. Book one only scratched the surface. I hope to learn more about the man in next-coming books. Eight words to describe Antonio: Captivating, loyal, commanding, conflicted, enigmatic, elusive, possessive and ruthless. “Make no mistake, I will hurt you to protect you.” Theresa Drazen, Tink aka Contessa has lived the perfectly composed life excelling in her career, but failing with intimacy. We get to see her OCD and pick on her he desire to break free and let loose. She doesn’t want to be the good girl any more. Eight words to describe Theresa: Poised, compassionate, smart, ambitious, loyal, gutsy, restless and graceful. “He’d fucked me and, fucked me dirty.” Needless to say Antonio and his Contessa take us on a roller-coaster of emotions and intrigue only to end rather abruptly in and good but uncertain place. I cannot wait for book 2, Ruin! Spectacular plot! Spellbinding storytelling! Interesting and developed characters! Larger-than-life Antonio Spinelli! The very best of danger, sex and suspense with promise of much more! “I am afraid I won’t have you, and I’m afraid I will.” *** Hero rating: 5 stars Heroine rating: 4 stars Sex scenes rating: 5 stars Sex scenes frequency: 4 stars Storyline concept rating: 5 stars Storytelling skills rating: 5 stars Story ending rating: N/A Book editing rating (5 = no edits spotted): N/A ****************************************** Overall rating: 5 stars Would I recommend this series: Yes. How I love the Drazen family. Songs of Corruption is a companion series to Songs of Submission. You can read this series without fear of spoilers for SOS. Although you see glimpses of Jonathan and Monica as this story is the same timeline, their story is in SOS not in SOC. This is Theresa Drazen's (Contessa's) story. A very proper girl who was engaged to a DA who was running for mayor. Until said fiancée acted not so properly and Theresa is on her own and meets the sexy, dangerous mob lawyer and Capo; Antonio Spinelli. Antonio is dangerous in more ways than one. He ignites something in Theresa that she does not recognize, it's all consuming and frightening. " I've seen women come. They forget to look beautiful. They forget who they are. I want to see you when you lose yourself and all you know is my name" Their worlds are very different and not sure either can live in the others, especially when their worlds collide. "Make no mistake, I will hurt you to protect you. Now Go." Who will be left standing?? Which world will they be in or can they make a new?? “Take me with you. I’ve danced enough. I’ve seen movies. I’ve been in every pool in Malibu. I’ve travelled. I’ve dated. Worked on a political campaign. Met stars. Had a job. I’ve done all that already. What I’ve never done is know a man like you. This is just the beginning of their story. We won't know the answers in Spin, but our journey has begun. At the end you will feel satisfied but crave more of Antonio and Theresa.; our Capo and Contessa! Fine, per adesso "What if you die from loving me. What if I die from not loving you." CD REISS' story telling and exquisite writing will take you on a journey with this story, you will feel what they feel. I cried, I laughed and of course her steamy sex scenes were amazing, I also loved her secondary characters. Katrina, the directrix who is there for Tee Dray and Paulie who you think you know but do you?? Amazing story telling. Though these series are separate and each complete on it's own, the way CDR intertwined the stories leaving clues to the bigger picture that is the Drazen clan is so very clever. I for one am vested in this entire family and can't wait for the next book in SOC and the first book in SOP, Kick !!! Come vuoi tu 5 BRILLANT stars!! “Capo,” I whispered. **Goosebumps** Antonio Spinelli, Esq is “….the picture of masculine grace.” He’s a man who keeps his council. Do NOT question him and the underworld in which he lives. There are no measures he will NOT take to PROTECT. I love protector stories and Antonio Spinelli is a protector in the extreme. Theresa Drazen runs an accountancy department for the biggest agency in Hollywood. She's a clever, wealthy lady with a past of her very own..... “…..sharing breath and space.” They’re “Capo,” I whispered. **Goosebumps** Antonio Spinelli, Esq is “….the picture of masculine grace.” He’s a man who keeps his council. Theresa Drazen runs an accountancy department for the biggest agency in Hollywood. She's a clever, wealthy lady with a past of her very own..... “…..sharing breath and space.” They’re drawn together. Trust is an issue for both of them, for different reasons..... Can they trust each other? They live in different worlds, they're opposites but in some ways they match. Antonio releases something in Theresa and it's truly wonderful and sexy to witness. He empowers her mind and her body. They expose vulnerabilities in each other. I can't reveal any more about the story of Spin. It needs to be experienced as it reveals itself piece by beautiful piece. Immerse yourself in Spinelli's world and discover the life of the Capo and the Woman of Grace.... The experience is lovely. My lovely feelings The writing is powerful.... I felt nervous anticipation. I welled up with tears. My heart twisted and ached. Could they be together? The hero and heroine have an extremely strong sense of identity. Spinelli is charisma and danger personified. She's beautiful, a perfectionist, and unflappable. Released from her constraints and empowered. It's incredibly HOT and SEXY, RAW and SENSUAL “He fucked harder and faster, and I lost myself.” The way they want each other is desperate and carnal and lustful. “He was a magnet for my sexual hunger.” It's breathtaking. “Let me take you. Let me own you.” The shower was scorching hot!!! Scolding PASSIONATE And a little bit down and dirty CD reveals her story and characters in her usual delectable style. She drip feeds us her beautiful, flawless writing. The text is richly powerful. No word is wasted, no description redundant. Every sentence moves the story forward in terms of plot, feeling or character. Spin shows me pictures I cannot give justice to in a simple explanation. Experience them, let them envelope your senses and blow your mind. I read and re-read passages not because I didn’t understand but because I needed to absorb every drop, savour, experience and re-experience the luxurious writing. I took my time reading because I wanted it to last. In Spin I felt the warmth and bond between the Drazen siblings. Theresa Drazen is introduced in the Songs of Submission series. It's not essential to read SOS to enjoy SPIN, far from it, Spin works completely as a separate series but do NOT MISS OUT. SOS is AMAZING and introduces us to the Drazen family... Jonathan, his sisters, and Monica. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... If you love a story with erotic romance, wonderful depth ridden characters and delicious sexy writing all wrapped up in suspense and intrigue in an underground world, then you should delay no longer, experience Spin. I've been gathering my thoughts for 2 days after finishing this book in practically one sitting, and I still can't come up with a review that will do it justice. Now I know that the book blurb says that you don't need to read Songs of Corruption before this book in order to understand it, and you don't. But I would highly recommend it. Why? Aside from the biggest reason which is it was hands down, one of the best series that I read last year, tt would allow you to see how far CD Reiss has come as an author. I loved the writing style in SoS, but in SoC I absolutely fell in love with it. For those that have read SoS and don't think that it can better, prepare yourself, because IT IS. The writing had an almost lyrical, poetic feel to it. But enough of my gushing fangirling here. Let's move on to my SPOILER FREE REVIEW. Ladies, prepare yourself for the enigmatic whirlwind that is Antonio Spinelli. Let me warn you that once you meet him, the single thing that will flash through your brain every time you hear his name will be Theresa Drazen is Jonathan's sister from Songs of Submission. We get a small peek into her in that series, but it's now time for her to fully step into the light. Coming off of a devastating break up with her fiance after he cheated on her, Theresa is slowly trying to move on. She's not ready to give her trust to another man yet, and she may still be in love with her ex-fiance, but then her entire world changes the second she lays her eyes on a man in a smoky bar Antonio Spinelli is not the man that Theresa needs, and he's certainly not a man that she's used to... I liked nice men. Lawful men. Men with a future, a career, who could safely support children. I wasn't the type to look for the dangerous, exciting guys. And Antonio "Spin" is anything but safe or nice. But that doesn't stop the scorching hot connection that burns between them. Theresa attempts to fight their attraction and sexual chemistry in the beginning. She's warned off. Spin is dangerous, he has secrets, and his life is not what it seems. Try as she might to stay away from him, he draws her like a fly to a flame. But how close can Theresa get before she gets burned? Spin knows the man that he is, as well as he knows the type of woman that Theresa is. He'd destroy her life, and he tries like hell to stay away. But the strings of attraction that bind them together are just too strong to break Can Spin and Theresa survive the scorching hot chemistry between them? Will the be able to trust the other enough to let them inside their world without being burned? Or will the dangerous secrets that Spin hides be their damnation? Guess you'll have to read the book to find out. Because I certainly won't be telling you. What I can tell you is that this story will suck you in. It will grip you from the first page and keep you riveted until the last. It's fast paced, suspenseful, and erotic as hell. Then there are the sex scenes. Sweet mother of cock, those sex scenes. Oh God, Antonio. I've wanted you for days." "I'm going to fuck you so hard, little princess. I'm going to break you in two." "Do it. Take me hard." CD Reiss just gets better and better with each new book. I can't get enough of her writing. The characters that she creates get forever engraved into my brain. I loved Theresa's combination of strength and endearing vulnerability, the way she grows and develops into the woman she needs to be in order to be with Spin. Spin. I have no words for the utter perfection that was Spin. The undercurrent of danger combined with extremely potent sexuality, Spin will absolutely capture your heart and not to mention every dirty and pervy fantasy. I could understand the path of corruption that Theresa took. If I had a choice and was told that to be with Spin I'd need to pull the trigger. Hell, I'd smile, raise my glass and say For those that are concerned about a cliffy, don't be. It is obvious that the story is unfinished and there is plenty more to resolve where it ends, but it is still a HFN ending. This is coming from the biggest cliffy avoider you'll meet, so trust me. You'll want to meet Spin as soon as possible. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to stalk the author for any crumbs about book 2 and maybe re-read some of the more (uhem) memorable scenes in Spim (and there were plenty). And I thank you ***ARC courtesy of publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review*** For more reviews visit

Theresa is a good girl, always lived up to people’s expectations. Rolls in the right social circles. Then she encounters Antonio Spinelli…. As a kid, I’d collected porcelain swans. I didn’t know why, but I loved swans. Their grace, their delicacy. "Are you a leprechaun?" I asked. "Only when st. Patrick’s Day lands on a full moon." The storyline was interesting, the words were flowing and I seriously don’t know what was missing for me. I started this and some friends had organized a Buddy Read and I was way ahead of them…. So I stopped and decided to wait for them. C.D. Reiss is one of those authors that all my friends seem to love. And I can absolutely see why. Her writing is fantastic, descriptive in the best kind of way, her hero is just fuckhot, and don’t even get me started on those sex scenes…. wow! It took me a few chapters to get into this, maybe because I didn’t know who anyone was or what was going on, but once I did, I was HOOKED. This story follows Theresa Drazen. Theresa is one of the many Drazen siblings. She’s smart, dependable, and beautiful. After catching her former fiancé, who also happens to be the DA/candidate for mayor, cheating on her, she’s over men. That is until she see’s him. One look from him, and her world is thrown off it’s axis. Antonio Spinelli. Spin. Capo. Call him what you will. I call him my newest book boyfriend/bad ass mother fucker. He’s dangerous. He’s ruthless. He’s smart and he’s trouble. He knows the rules of the life he lives, but Theresa makes him want to break all the rules. He knows having her would only be trouble for him, but he can’t stay away. She’s turned his world upside down. Theresa knows the dangers of being with someone like Antonio Spinelli, but to her, it’s worth it. It’s worth being corrupted, being destroyed, just to be with this man. Spin also knows the risks, the spot he’s putting Theresa in, the spot he’s putting himself in, but he has to have her. Capo and his Contessa. Their sexual chemistry was off the charts hot. If you love it when your books have that super hot and dirty fucking, then this is the book for you. Some of the hottest sex scenes I’ve read in a long time. As rough and hard as things were between them, Capo was still sweet with his girl. It was a perfect combination. “Every day,” he whispered, “I’ll take you like this. In the morning, before coffee, I fuck you. At night, I fuck you harder. In our bedroom, our living room, our kitchen, I’ll love you in every room. Amore mio, I’ll break you with my love and put you back together. And when I retire, you still call me Capo because you’re mine. Always mine.” Spin is full of crime, drama, mystery, and romance. It’s intense, emotional, arousing and suspensful. Even though there wasn’t a big cliffhanger, I’m happy the second book is out and I can jump right in! I was completely captivated by the writing and story telling abilities of this author. I can’t wait to read more of her work! “I don’t know where you’ll fit in. I don’t know your place.”
“My place is beside you.”

I truly am head over heels with her stories, now I enjoyed this one but it didn't hold that 5 star saying that I really believe the more we read these books the more will come out and the more I'll love I do think she's saving the best till last and we'll gain the fireworks on de-finale... "You need a man," she said. "A rebound cock to fuck the sad right out of you." This is a story about two people from two different worlds We have Antonio who is from a world of crime and the Boss of the mafia, he has commitments, rules, requirements and he doesn't commit to women but to his job so when Theresa comes into his life he doesn't know what do, but SHE MUST NOT ASK QUESTIONS Theresa has a good job, but has just come out of a relationship where she got hurt and isn't looking for love again but then there's Antonio who she just can't seem to walk away from. He s making her feel which is something she isn't so much currently. SHE HAS NEVER FELT SO ALIVE So where do these two fit? how do they fit into each others lives? My thoughts I think this a very well thought out story, there are clues throughout that unless your really taking note you'd miss such as certain Italian Mafia's actions there is information that I'm collecting to gain for the next story. I loved and adored CD's flawless writing she is a very clever lady. I loved the characters and felt connected to Theresa from go, I didn't get a great vibe from her in SOS so wasn't quite sure how this one was going to pan out but I can tell you I loved her, she's strong and a pretty god damn badass lady and I truly believe she's the right woman for Antonio, I am for one looking forward to seeing how she takes her place as Spin's woman and how she comes into the woman he needs in his life. (view spoiler)[ There was a moment in this book where there was a brotherly bond with Jonathan, I just had to put this spoiler in as it really was a highlight in the book, I am loving that side to Jonathan and am also looking forward to more of those times, I'm also looking forward to more information on all the Drazen's (hide spoiler)] So overall this was an enjoyable read, fantastic writing and I'm looking forward to the next one... Favourite quotes "You're very skilled," I said, "And you're huge." " I want you," I said, breatheless. "I want you, and I'm going to have you. That's it." "I tried to stay away," he said. "I've never wanted a woman this much in my life. I'd burn cities to have you. I'd commit murder to take you right now." "I'm going to fuck you so hard, little princess. I'm going to break you in two." Contessa, you make me crazy." "I know." "I don't know where you'll fit in with me. I don't know your place." "My place is beside you." Recommended read... And on a final note I just want to say a big thank you to all the Canaries once again it was a fab Buddy read, love you guys <3 Our EPIC Buddy read: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

5--Antonio Can Corrupt Me Anyday--Stars!! Songs of Corruption is a spin-off from the Songs of Submission series, featuring Theresa Drazen (Jonathan's sister) and Antonio Spinelli. I recommend reading Songs of Submission first as it gives you a good background for the Drazen family. Songs of Corruption is a spin-off from the Songs of Submission series, featuring Theresa Drazen (Jonathan's sister) and Antonio Spinelli. I recommend reading Songs of Submission first as it gives you a good background for the Drazen family. Spin runs parallel to parts of SoS and begins with Theresa at Frontage with Jonathan listening to Monica sing and play. It is there that Theresa first sees Antonio Spinelli. And one touch from Antonio Spinelli ignites something in Theresa. Theresa Drazen Theresa is calm, cool, collected....but she's scorned. She caught her fiance, Daniel cheating. Daniel is the current DA and has his sights set on becoming mayor. He also knows he needs Theresa's help if he's going to win the campaign. From the moment Antonio laid eyes on Theresa, he's wanted her. And he'll stop at nothing to get her. But who is Antonio Spinelli? Antonio Spinelli Antonio is mysterious. There's something dark and dangerous about him. Something that Theresa finds very intriguing. She's tries but she can't stay away from him. Antonio and Theresa. Contessa and Capo. They lit up the pages. Theresa and Antonio's worlds start to collide. Theresa finds herself caught up in the dark, dangerous world of Antonio Spinelli and she loves it. Antonio tries to keep Theresa away...to shield her from his life. Their want for each other. Their need to know and be with the other causes things to spin out of control. Theresa must make a choice....is she in or is she out?? Spin While this is trilogy, I will say that the ending on this one was not bad. For me it ended at the perfect spot. It left me wanting more but satisfied with where things stood between Antonio and Theresa. Loved getting glimpses of Jonathan and some of the other Drazen clan. Excellent start to the series. Brilliantly written by CD Reiss unique style, Spin will draw you into a world of betrayal, violence and sex. She has a way to let you feel immersed in her vivid and highly detailed environment, letting you watch as a spectator but wanting to act as the tension builds. I've found myself inhaling all that she created, and was quickly surrounded by this deep, dark, somber world. In Spin, we assist to the disheveling of an ice queen, her transformation, her metamorphosis. Theresa Drazen is an intelligent, successful and independent woman who's been sheltered and misinterpreted. Recently divorced from the district attorney of L.A., she lives her life as a composure, suspended in habits and trying to find her place alone. Until she mets Antonio Spinelli. Spin. She recognizes him as her own. She is uncontrollably enthralled by this man. And so the pursuit begins. Some might think Theresa behavior will be completely out of character, and I have to agree on that. From the moment she meets Antonio, she completely looses herself in her emotions, even her most feral. I found myself wanting to push her even a little more, to whisper in her ear to take the final jump. Spin is the trigger that liberate Theresa's deepest urges and dormant desires. Both their worlds are about to collide and there is nothing to change that, the attraction and chemistry between those two souls are inalterable, unstoppable. The sex scenes of course are smoking hot and intelligently weaved in the storyline. And that is another thing remarkable about this book, it focuses mainly on Theresa and Spin story whilst brilliantly intertwine a political suspense in the background. Not many authors can affect me the way CD's writing does. I could almost letting myself think I was Theresa and Spin was directly sweet-dirty talking to me. (Yes, i was) I highly recommend this book, you won't be disappointed, unless what your are looking for is a typical heart an flowers story, if so walk away right now. There is no right or wrong here. It's a brutal, passionate and intense tale, and CD left us just the right amount of mystery to want to know what the future is holding for Theresa and Spin.

Well, it's scary for newbies / shy readers to admit they didn't love a book when everyone else did. It can make you feel abnormal... *Ahem* I am abnormal, but that's here nor there. It can make you feel abnormal... *Ahem* I am abnormal, but that's here nor there. I want them to know they are NOT alone. I think the easiest way to explain why this didn't work for me would be to tell you a little bit about myself....Here goes nothing! 1) I'm difficult different - Obviously as the GR majority rated Spin 5 stars and I can't bring myself to finish it. My taste fluctuates like my weight so please don't try to understand my preference in literature. 2) I'm an opinionated reader(I own it) -When Theresa thought the woodsy smell may be coming from a plate of meat, I was questioning her common sense. “I smelled pine trees, deep in the forest, damp in the morning after a night of campfires and singing. The burning char and dew mingled in the song-like trails of cigarette smoke, rising and disappearing." .....Does Antonio use the green tree car freshener as cologne? ( I'm digging the rub down visual) ..or maybe Antonio's really yogi the bear. “I caught the scent again and looked in her direction, as if I could see the smell’s source. It could have come from anyone. It could have been the plate of saucy meat that crossed my path. "...... Um, I guess if the meat was hickory smoked it could permeate a tree burning scent. 3) I rarely like a heroine - Dear Theresa , obsessing over your cheating ex boyfriend will not win you brownie points with me. 4) I am the excessive eye roller - " He was different. When he touched me—Just my wrist. But it was like sex. I swear I’ve never felt anything like that. ...... " HERE HE! HERE HE! The eye roll competition has officially begun." 5) I DISLIKE fluff - Please refer to the first page of chapter 2. Although, I'm sure those seeking employment in the movie industry appreciate the free movie production crew education. 6) I'm easy.... (Just sayin) - EXCEPT when vomit is involved. Yup! Not a single ladyboner to be had after that lovely visual. 7) I take stories way too seriously -Which is why I couldn't accept the heroines insta- lust after Antonio told her she had t.p stuck to her shoe. I'd be mortified not lustified. 8) I suck at writing reviews - Mrs. C.D Reiss is magician with words. She just didn't cast a magic spell on stubborn me. 9) I love my sissy's from another missy - Please don't disown me ladies. 10) I love to laugh -I insist you take everything I say with a grain of salt as I am trying to humorous ... NOT HURTFUL. As I stated earlier Spin has numerous 5 star rating from much more reliable reviewers than myself. DO NOT FORM AN OPINION BASED ON MY LACKLUSTER REVIEW. NOW go Spin your happy ass over to amazon, buy the book and tell me how wrong I am. It's okay, I've been wrong once or twice before...MWAH!

So I'll admit it, as a massive fan of this authors early work, in particular her Songs of Submission series, I was somewhat nervous to read this book, especially given my love/addiction to Jonathan Drazen, (the central character in the Songs of Submission series). I worried that Jonathan simply couldn't be beaten, I worried that maybe the first series was a "one off", a "fluke" for this increasingly popular author, (I even stayed away from all the other reviews until I had read the final pages because I didn't want to get caught up in everyone else's views and opinions)......well bloody shame on me for not having more faith because what became abundantly clear only a few pages into "Spin" was that it wasn't Jonathan Drazen that I fell in love with, it wasn't he whom I became addicted to, it was this authors incredible story telling abilities. What this author is able to, in a seemingly effortless way, and in just 195 pages, is what I wish more authors could do. She doesn't just throw some words onto a page and hope for the best, she doesn't just pluck characters out of thin air, get them to have few quick shags and assume that's all the reader wants. No, what this author does is actually paint us a picture, only she does it with words. We don't just read the story, we feel it, we see it, we sense it. Because of this authors abilities with words, we don't just get the run of the mill erotic story, we get to experience the characters and the story as if we were viewing it like a film scene. "Spin" takes us into a criminal world, a world of the mafia, of guns and violence, a world where loyalties can easily become blurred and passion is at all time high. For me this was a sturdy 4 star read. Why? Well because with Spin, I feel, we are getting just the beginning, just an initial glimpse! a superb introduction into a whole other dark and dangerous world. You will read many many wonderful reviews on GR for this book, and WOW what amazing and artistic some of those reviews are, and so ok I may not be quite as skilled with all the fancy art work, and no I may not be as talented with my words and quotes but would I recommend this book to others. Abso-fuckin-lutely!!!! I, for one, can not wait to continue on this epic journey! (Oh and just for info; you don't have to read the SOS series to enjoy this one, however you'd be missing an amazing series!!) Warning: this book contains a hot, mysterious, sexually appealing, moisture inducing, dirty talking, rough loving italian mobster, a man who is particularly skilled in turning on his women (and his readers). At times this results in some destruction to woman underwear (both the central characters and in my experience, the audience). Readers of a nervous or frigid disposition when it comes to underwear ripping may wish to avert heir eyes because yes, panty ripping is in fact the new bodice ripping, and I for one, bloody love it!!!!! Only you can take a mafia capo and make him my ultimate badass hero! Bravo! Spin is a "spinoff" of the Songs of Submission series. It runs alongside the timeframe of SoS but features Jonathon Drazen's sister Theresa. Theresa was engaged to a high profile District Attorney who's running for mayor until she caught him cheating with an aide. She's stumbling thru her days still in love with Daniel and painfully lonely. In a local bar with her brother she sets eyes on Antonio Spinelli. Tall, dark, perfect cut suit...perfection. When he touches her arm to alert her of toilet paper stuck to her shoe, she's mesmerized. Her conflicted interest in this man begins..... So envision this. Theresa, a pretty uptight accounting guru, everything in life shipshape suddenly finds herself inexplicably drawn to a person 100% against every grain of her being. She's organized, controlled and "clean." But the draw is there and uptight Theresa turns into one serious sexual hellcat. Smoking! Antonio has ties to the mafia. It doesn't take Theresa long to figure that out. Her ex warns her away from him but the draw is too strong. She knows he's bad news but... She has a decision to make. Keep her nice orderly life, one in the spotlight as a woman scorned or let it all go and take a chance with a man from the darker side of the tracks.... Can Theresa have a relationship with a man who has known ties to corruption and who knows what else? She's torn between staying squeaky clean for the image her ex needs for his campaign and her insane desire of all things Antonio. When he's around, all bets are off...as well as their clothes. Ahem. Not gonna lie. The book is hot. It has a great mix of heat, suspense, dirty talking, heat (oh, I said that). Take a hot, built Italian guy in a custom suit and mix in a little bad boy...we got ourselves steamy perfection. Antonio. Gah! Italian at its finest! Ms Reiss writes with a flare for his accent and Italian endearments that will seriously make you swoon. He calls her Contessa.... Ms Reiss was an auto-buy for me back when she wrote the Songs of Submission series. This book did not fail my high expectations. The buzz was so great, I worried my expectations were going to be too high. She met the challenge. In spades. Her writing is captivating and sucks you into their story from page one. I found myself highlighting half the book. It's beyond the ability to write steamy sex scenes. She writes with true character development and an almost artistic, poetic air to her writing. If you haven't read from this author yet, and you have a love for erotic romance, she will deliver with perfection. I'm not entirely happy to wait for the next installment so I pray she's feverishly writing. If you haven't read SoS series, I'd read that first. It's awesome and this book follows characters in that. SoS is a great basis to build your literary love of the Drazen clan. Looking forward to the next installment of the Songs of Corruption series. And I thank you! Theresa Drazen is a numbers gal, she’s the type of girl that dates law abiding men, men that run for Mayor... but those things and that kind of man, well those don’t make her feel like she’s alive and even though numbers may never lie, the same can’ be said for the men. Newly single and unsure, Theresa feels a spark when the scent of smoke and pine hits her right between the legs. Antonio ‘Spin’ Spinelli might have the title esquire after his name and a few businesses that appear to be legit under his belt, but make no mistake about the danger that lurks beneath the surface of the man. His life is the kind that swallows you whole, the kind that the drains the sweet and hardens the soft right out of you. But when Theresa Drazen catches his eye, all bets are off. A life of crime and a life of high society collide and neither of them can be prepared for the explosion that is coming their way. Holy fucking shit, fuck, fuck! CDMOTHERFUCKINGREISS! I expected hot as sin sex, I expected exceptional writing... these are two things that I knew from my reading of the Songs of Submission, she was going to deliver. I did not expect that my eyes would be blurred with tears at a few moments where everything that surrounds these two are pulling them apart. Let me just get the sex out of the way. It was hot. The kind of hot that leaves your body aching for more. These two, damn – Theresa came out of nowhere as a little hell-cat. And Spin, well yeah. He’s the bad boy, bad-ass mafia guy and has a talent for getting his cock out without wasting a second. Now to the characters.... We’ve caught a glimpse of Theresa in SOS but for the first time we get to know her much better. I wasn’t sure if any of Jonathan’s sisters were going to be able to pull me in completely. I expected Fiona would have been the one to do it – being a sex addict and free spirit and all, but Theresa was steady and strong all while being vulnerable. As I type this I am shaking my head, thinking ‘why would I not know that the heroine would be kickass? This is the woman who brought us Monica.’ . And our Spin. “Come volevi tu” Every word he said was playing in my head with a little sexy Italian accent. The right mix of hard and soft, gentle-power. I sense that our tough guy may have a bit of a lost little boy in him somewhere that is just aching to be let free. When you start a CD Reiss book there is one thing that is going to capture your attention immediately. Words. Not just because they're on the page, but it’s in the way she uses them... ...His eyes were black as a felony. ...a storm of hormone shrapnel. This is something that is unique to her style and part of the reason why I absolutely love reading her work. There are a lot of authors that can write exceptional romance and panty-melting sex scenes, but not all can create those things while completely encasing it in pure beauty, talent and ability to create such vivid imagery with words. There was no reach to try to imagine what was playing out on these pages, it was clear as day because of that talent. I cannot express enough how highly I recommend anything this woman writes. You don’t have to start off with SOS, but I would. You get a few pieces of Jonathan & Monica in Spin, it lapse the time that they are first meeting and although not too much is exposed (yet), it will keep you occupied until the second book in Songs of Corruptions is released. Some may not like the format of serials, but being that SOS is fully released, it reads like a trilogy if read back to back, and believe me, you won’t be able to put it down. I’ll stop my fan-girling before it starts to get too creepy, but I loved this story and am now going to have to stop myself from pleading for the second book to be released tomorrow instead of months from now. ==============================

I loved her Songs of Submission series, where we first meet all the Drazen's, and my Jonathan. Although this series reads well as a stand alone, I would still recommend reading SOS first to get some back story. For me it would have been helpful to especially reread Sing book 7 in the SOS series before reading Spin, as there were a few details I had forgotten. Theresa Drazen aka Tink/Contessa is from a wealthy family, and is an heiress/socialite living in Los Angeles. She is a beautiful, ambitious, elegant, intelligent woman who runs the accounting department for WDE, one of the largest agencies in Hollywood. Theresa is also a movie script supervisor on the side for her friend and roommate Katrina. Although Theresa enjoys working in the movie industry, her life seems to be lacking excitement. Theresa was in a serious relationship for seven years with a man named Daniel Brower, that is in politics. She was thrust into the public eye, and then experienced a very public breakup after her fiancé cheated on her. Daniel is currently running for Mayor, and trying to win Theresa back. She is lonely, and misses having someone special in her life. Theresa still cares for Daniel, and struggles with her feelings for him. She continues to see him when he calls, and support him in his campaign. One evening Theresa goes out to a club called Frontage with her brother Jonathan, and her sister Deirdre. She spots a gorgeous man in a dark suit and a pink tie and she can't take her eyes off him. He is just breathtakingly handsome, and she feels drawn to him. They end up speaking, and he has the sexiest Italian accent, and smells absolutely delicious! She is extremely attracted to him, but senses he is not her usual type. Theresa has some family drama that distracts her from the handsome stranger, but he eventually seeks her out, and finds her. He pursues her, and she can't resist his charms. He is confident, mysterious, and hot as hell! She is absolutely captivated by this beautiful man, and decides she wants him! Theresa begins an affair with this secretive man who brings her unbelievable pleasure. She later finds out that he is well known as an alleged Capo of a mafia crime family. He introduced himself to Theresa as Antonio Spinelli, an Italian lawyer from Napoli Italy who also owns restaurants, and other various businesses. The more time Theresa spends with Antonio the more she finds herself pulled into his world of violence. There is so much she doesn't know about him, but she can't help the way she feels when with him. She has been told he's a ruthless, dangerous, killing criminal, but what she see's is an extremely passionate man who will do anything to protect her. He excites her, and makes her feel alive again! Theresa has always been on the right side of the law, but in being with Antonio lines get blurred, and she finds a new side to herself that is daring, feisty, and a bit reckless, and it's exhilarating and scary all at the same time. What started out as casual, turns into something more. They both find themselves deeply in love, and willing to do anything to protect each other. I thought this book was amazing! It had love, suspense, action, hot love scenes, and was just sexy as hell! I loved how Theresa kind of comes to find herself being with Antonio, and turns into this badass woman! :D The chemistry between this couple was explosive, and Antonio was absolutely delicious!!! The dirty talkers do it for me every time! ;) Can't wait for book 2 in this series! I need more Contessa & Capo! :)) -I could kiss you right now," he said. "You wouldn't dare." -"I will. And you might push me away, but not before you kiss me back. You know it. I know it. And everyone else in this office is going to know it," he said. -His kiss was a study in paying attention, reacting to me as I reacted to him with increasing intensity. When his tongue touched mine, I lost myself in desire. His hands stayed on my neck, and I became aware of their power and gentleness. -"Contessa, you make me crazy." "I know." "I don't know where you'll fit in with me. I don't know your place." "My place is beside you." -I want you, and I don't know how to have you. I want you beside me. I want my world and your world to be one. To see you laugh in the morning. To see you weep my name at night. I am not ever afraid, but with you, I am. I'm afraid I won't have you, and I'm afraid I will." 5 Spin*tastic Stars This is the beginning of a love story. The first in a trilogy. This is not your typical love story because when you deal with the Mafia, nothing is typical or ordinary. Things are raw, combustible, lustful, vengeful, deceitful, secretive and explosive. Theresa has just ended her engagement with her fiancé, Daniel, because he was cheating on her. He is running for Mayor of LA and she was by his side when he disgraced her. She still loves him but she can't go back to him. The 5 Spin*tastic Stars This is the beginning of a love story. The first in a trilogy. This is not your typical love story because when you deal with the Mafia, nothing is typical or ordinary. He is running for Mayor of LA and she was by his side when he disgraced her. She still loves him but she can't go back to him. There are things in Theresa's past that have made her strong. We get some hints as to what they might be but not completely. Whatever it was has given her a poker face, resolve and fortitude. While out with her brother one night, a chance meeting with a stranger will change her life forever. According to her roommate Katrina, "You just got woken up." Spin as he is known in his circle, is from Italy and is doing some work in the States. He's mysterious, a man who doesn't talk about his work or his past, and a man who is intrigued by the beautiful Theresa whom he calls Contessa. He is so intrigued and possessed that she is all he thinks about and when in the line of business that he is in, losing your direction can lead to your permanent disappearance. This is the beginning of their attraction, of their downfall, and of their desire to be with one another at all cost. Life in the Mafia is not easy and is not where an outsider fits in so easily. This is not hearts and flowers, this is intense lust, desire, and sex. Spin is not the careful lover, he takes what he wants. Theresa is a good girl by nature but Spin wakes up a side of her that she didn't know existed. Her desires and lust and sex are all woken up by.... The man in the dark suit and thin pink tie, the full lips and two-day beard. His eyes were black as felony, and they stayed on me as his body swung into the booth. There are many layers in this book. Daniel, the ex fiancé is not ready to give up on Theresa. He knows that Theresa has gotten herself involved with an alleged mobster/murdered. Katrina, Theresa's roommate is trouble and needs the stability that Theresa brings to her. Paulie, Spin's partner doesn't trust Theresa and believes that Theresa doesn't belong in their world. All these added pieces make this story filled with high drama involving organized crime, politics, and the movie industry. But will Spin and Theresa's intensity lead to a life together or will his Mafioso dealings get the best of him? So many questions still and so many possibilities. CD Reiss is a master of the written word. She writes stories that are lyrical, poetic and beautiful. You are able to feel each character through her magical fingers. Theresa is a sister to Jonathan from the Songs of Submission books. You don't need to read the SoS books to enjoy this but I will say that if you haven't read that series I would HIGHLY recommend reading. It's fanfreakingtastic and it is just another layer in the deeply meaningful writing that this author delivers. So in closing CD Reiss....... I have been on a bit of a C.D. Reiss high for the last week or so. I just finished reading the Songs of Submissions Series, fell in love with that, and now I just finished reading SPIN, book 1 of the Songs of Corruptions Series and loved that too. C.D. Reiss is now one of my favorite authors. I love how she writes, how her books suck me in right from the beginning and doesn’t let go until you have turned the last page. Some may wonder if you need to read the SOS series before reading SPIN, I know I did and asked the question. It was suggested that I read at least a few of them in order to meet the Drazen family as well read Jonathan (Theresa’s brother) and Monica’s story. I know the blurb for SPIN says that you don’t have to but after reading it, I would suggest that you do. At least read a few of them. However, I should warn you, the Songs of Submissions Series is such an amazing series. It is addictive and you will fall in love with Jonathan and Monica. :) My thoughts about SPIN are simple. I loved the book. Antonio Spinelli is sexy, beautiful, dangerous (on all sorts of levels) and hot as hell. :) Theresa is beautiful, successful, independent and intelligent. She isn’t “pure”, she is a Drazen after all but she tends to live her life on the right side of the street. Theresa has just ended her relationship with her fiance Daniel because he cheated on her. She really loved him and still does and she is definitely not ready to get involved with another man. Though her personal relationship with Daniel is over, their professional lives are still tangled together. This ends up being a difficult thing for Theresa. Things change for Theresa in a split second when she sees this gorgeous man in a dark suit at a bar she is at with her brother Jonathan and sister Deidre. That night something happens that causes her and this gorgeous man to be together. Antonio is definitely not Theresa’s usual type but the attraction to him is fervent. She needs to walk away and pretend he never happened. But it won’t be that simple. Antonio needs has to have her and the pursuit begins. Theresa goes through the motions of resisting him but the attraction is too strong. Antonio’s desire for Theresa is blinding. He knows he should stay way. He knows his life is dangerous and it could destroy her. He tries to stay away but his desire for her is to strong. Spin and Theresa together are fiery! Their chemistry is frantic, raging and intense. Beyond their physical connection, emotions start to build and their relationship becomes a little blurred. Events that take place within the lives of Theresa, Antonio and Daniel will test both Theresa and Antonio. Theresa will need to chose a side and her loyalty is tested. Antonio’s passion, needs and will is put to the test. Daniel’s resentment and malevolence may either drive them apart or together. Will Theresa and Antonio survive? Will secrets destroy both of them? Hmmm guess you will need to read SPIN to find out! :) SPIN was such a great read for me. Sucked in from page one and released on the last page. It is suspenseful, lustful and Antonio and Theresa are amazing. The sex scenes are enticing, sensual, sexy as all hell and erotic. The suspense will keep you engaged and you will connect instantly to Antonio and Theresa. You will meet many other interesting characters that are scattered throughout the story and of course having the Drazen’s within the pages is just the added treasure of the story. Thank you C.D. Reiss for writing some amazing stories. You have a new dedicated fan to your writing. :) My favorite from Antonio SPIN Spinelli ~ "Contessa, you make me crazy." "I know." "I don't know where you'll fit in with me. I don't know your place." "My place is beside you." "I want you, and I don't know how to have you. I want you beside me. I want my world and your world to be one. To see you laugh in the morning. To see you weep my name at night. I am not ever afraid, but with you, I am. I'm afraid I won't have you, and I'm afraid I will." Arc kindly provided by the publisher via NetGalley! ;)

To highlight the slopes and lines. To give masculinity a definition. Theresa Drazen, Contessa “You’re an heiress. A socialite. You run one of the biggest accounting departments in Hollywood. You funnel millions of dollars a day. You have access to the district attorney.” The story of Spin and his Contessa is not a fairytale about a beautiful Princess who finds her Prince Charming. No, it's a story about an heiress and a Capo, two powerful people, whose worlds collided and now want nothing more than each other. “I tried to stay away,” he said. “I’ve never wanted a woman this much in my life. I’d burn cities to have you. I’d fight armies. I’d commit murder to take you right now.” But his world is not a place for a woman like her, because he is right, in most cases his attention will cause no harm, unless you are his Contessa and you end up meaning more to him than anyone else in his world. Knowing the dangers they are up against, power, politics and family feuds, they are forced into the darkness, to keep each other safe. “We won’t tell anyone. I’ll be your secret, and you’ll be mine. We’ll meet in the night, when no one can see.” “You have the will , but I don’t. I have to have you. Tonight and after, you’re mine. Your first loyalty is to me. Every moan on your lips. Every wet drop from your cunt. When the thought of fucking crosses your mind, it’s mine. Say it.” “I’m yours, Capo.” Spin (Songs of Corruption #1) is the first book in Spin and Theresa epic love story, there is possibly three installment series, so we get to watch their tale be told. One that is full of lust, love, sex, and violence. They both took each other by surprise, scared by the depths of their emotion and the hold that they have on each other. It's a very dangerous game that they play, with secrets, tradition and a love worth fighting for...and if they don't play it right, someone is going to get hurt. Their story was a whirlwind, fighting it tooth and nail and them bam, it's there. Spin is a very intense man and Theresa is a strong powerful woman, who for once is doing something for her. I have no clue where their story will lead, but one thing is for sure, it is one that will keep me on my toes and keep me wanting. This is the first book I read from this author, but this is a spin off from the Songs of Submission series. It is something I will go back to but for now, my attention is focused on Spin & Theresa.

4.5 Sexy Capo Stars In the beginning we meet Teresa, she is Jonathan’s sister from Songs of Submission. This series is a stand alone, so you don’t have to have read SOS to enjoy this series. However, it begins in the nightclub when Teresa is with Jonathan listening to Monica sing. Now I am dork, but I love when books do this, because it is like you get to see what is going on in everyone’s life at the same time. Teresa and her fiancé Daniel have just broken up, he was caught cheating on her. “ 4.5 Sexy Capo Stars In the beginning we meet Teresa, she is Jonathan’s sister from Songs of Submission. Now I am dork, but I love when books do this, because it is like you get to see what is going on in everyone’s life at the same time. Teresa and her fiancé Daniel have just broken up, he was caught cheating on her. “You need a man, a rebound cock to fuck the sad right to of you.” She meets Antonio, Spin, that first night at the club and while she is instantly attracted to him, it appears she is just another woman to Spin. Until he arranges for them to meet again. These two couldn’t be more different, she lived a privileged life, dated the District Attorney for years, and has basically always made the “right” choice her whole life. Spin is involved in organized crime and lives a life full of danger, despite their difference there is just something between them that neither of them can deny. I have read a lot of books that were steamy hot, it is pretty much a perquisite for me, but these two together are burning down the town hot. I am not sure if it is the organized crime, sneaky around, but there is just something so hot about Spin and Teresa. Their relationship may begin with hot sex in public places, but it actually develops into a real connection. Teresa has to decide if she wants to give up the safety and comfort she has known for years, and take a risk with a dangerous man. Even if she does, is Spin up for bringing her along into his world? I really enjoyed this story, it is an extremely quick read, but I felt is started out slow. I didn’t love reading about Teresa’s job and the movie industry, but I think that was probably just my impatience at wanting to see Spin again. In the end, it is a very intriguing read and I can tell how everyone gets hooked with the many different things going on.

I don't even know where to begin. I just really, really love CD Reiss! I love the way that she writes her sex scenes the way she balances the heat/intensity/dirt/passion of it all. It's that unapologetic brand of hot that I absolutely love in books. I was glad that while obviously Spin has characters from the SOS series that this was a different story and frame of reference all together. I was glad that while obviously Spin has characters from the SOS series that this was a different story and frame of reference all together. We don't just get the rehashing of Jonathan and Monica's journey and brand of kinky sex. We get something completely different. If you enjoy the mob shows or mafia related books I think this will definitely wet your whistle. It kept it's focus on Theresa and Antonio though and didn't plunge too far into the mafia stuff. Antonio acts like a caveman often and if that's not your brand of hot then this one may not do it for you, but if you enjoy a little caveman in your books then you'll find him to be very pleasing. I didn't find Theresa annoying and I liked how as the book went on she started to question what it was that she really wanted and decided to make some changes purely to live a life that would be more pleasing for her. I really loved where these characters were at - at the end of this installment. Another thing I think CD Reiss does very WELL... she gives you what you want in a sense but she also leaves a lot of relevant questions for the next book. Also, I love how things are not always what they appear to be in her stories. It's going to be a very long and anxious wait for the next one. When this one comes out, don't walk but run and get it and read it and love it!!! If you haven't read the SOS series yet then you really need to get on that pronto! Don't be like me and wait forever and a day to start it!!!! :D Antonio Theresa ---------------------------------------- I JUST GOT APPROVED FOR AN ARC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!! Just in time for my trip to Wicked Book Weekend Too!!!! I'm going to read the FUCK out of this one!!!! And while my interest in that series tapered off by the second book, I found the writing decent and had a different pulse and form to the usual erotica out there. I also like books set in LA in any genre, for some reason. And the guy in the cover looks a little like Gabriel Macht who is tres adorbs. Spin is Antonio Spinetti who smells like pines and has a perpetually rock-hard dick. He’s Italian (duh), not of the Jersey Shore persuasion, more of the Coppola and cannoli tradition. He may seem like a suave hardened criminal who feeds his enemies other people’s vomit but he actually likes long walks in the beach, chatting on Facebook and labradoodles…. okay not really, but I find that would’ve made his character more interesting. Anyway Tonio-botz meets Theresa ‘Tee Drey’ Drazen in a bar where she’s treating her alcoholic sister to. Because that’s what sisters do. And hey it’s LA so it’s allowed. Ish. She’s a bored heiress working as an accountant, and she’s just been publicly shamed by her cheating husband who’s running for mayor… I mean, it’s perfectly rational for her to throw caution and sensibility to the wind and choose a mafia Capo to be her fuck buddy, right? He was perfectly put together, with one hand in me the way it had just been inside a transmission. That’s a Ducati’s transmission. With grease and Lord knows what. Pap Smear. Get One. I suppose all that violent and hygienically questionable sex is one way of contrasting the Theresa with a fiancee and the Theresa who got cheated on. But it was bad enough that her relationship with Spin gave off an unapologetically rapey vibe (I acknowledge everything was consensual, still it felt rapey to me), I really didn’t need all that ick to further whatever cause this story believes to have. I’m almost hesitant to shelf this as erotic because it failed to arouse anything from me other than revulsion. Maybe it was a stab at being edgy, an effort to think outside the box that was unfortunately weighed down by a weak plot and caricature characters. I am a huge fan of the Mafia lore, there’s a certain finesse in relaying their seediness and depravity that this book missed by a mile and ended up this side of yuck. I never really liked Theresa. She was such a hazily sketched out character, any depth of which was hidden behind porcelain swans, silverware and plates. What the hell was that all about by the way? It came across bizarre and out of nowhere! There was very little moral conflict in her character which was central to the theme and would have been a more interesting study given the premise of this book. ”I’ve danced enough. I’ve seen movies. I’ve been in every pool in Malibu. I’ve travelled. I’ve dated. Worked on a political campaign. Met stars. Had a job. I’ve done all that. What I’ve never done is love a man like you.” Cheesy yes, but it offered some insight that would have intrigued me more than all that disgusting sex: what she’s admitting to have never done, is she talking about “love” or is she talking about “the man like Spin”? Is it just the relief from the mundane she seeks? The adrenaline talking? Or just her clitoris yapping about? This is going to be a series, because everything these days is, but I probably won’t be sticking around to know the results of Theresa’s pap among other things.

Even though he likes Theresa and she drives him nuts there is a lack of trust between the two of them that hinders their relationship from moving forward. In a few parts of the story I got lost and had to look back to refresh my memory with what has happening. I also wished I knew some Italian slang so I could have picked up on some of the words more easily. I did find it a little much that the heroine spent a lot of time "soaked" between the legs whenever she was around Spin. However it was an overall intriguing story line and I'll be curious to see what happens next with this couple. SERIES: Continuing story. Reiss brilliantly masters her craft. Her writing creates a completely visceral experience for her reader, stimulating and igniting all five senses. Her words trap you in the orbit of the worlds she’s crafted muting real life all around you; it’s like you’ve jumped through your e-reader and are completely surrounded. It’s near impossible not to devour a story written by Reiss. And Spin is definitely no exception; it’s well written, it’s concise, it’s dark and light, it’s explosively freaking hot leaving you panting, breathless, BEGging for more. Thanks to the crisp, clean, concise story telling the intense connection between her main characters becomes all consuming. Not only can the woman write the hell out of deliciously appealing alpha men. But she writes heroine’s who you want to emulate. Who am I kidding? She writes heroines I want to become not just imitate. It’s no secret I like a strong female as much as I like my alpha heroes. Theresa Drazen, who is equally as reserved as she is compulsive, moved right to the top of my list. She’s witty, charming, and strong. In Spin, she’s cracked wide open and the results of that fissure opening inside her will astound you. And, Antonio Spinelli? Well Antonio’s a mind Spining mystery – so complex. Interestingly though when it comes to passion complexity escapes him, so deeply primal his focus and intensity bleeds right off the pages. Outwardly these two are extreme opposites, but as Theresa delves deeper into the unknown we find out that maybe they’re differences fuel something bigger than they can even comprehend. The merry-go-round of emotions these two have for each other releases through heated, savage exchanges so hot your mind melts. Heated arguments rival sexual tension causing the most passionate combustion between intricately developed characters. It has taken me two full days to find something to say about this book and it’s still not enough to even remotely come close to being good enough to reflect the beauty of Spin. You MUST read Theresa Drazen’s story. There is no way if you’re a romance reader that you won’t absolutely devour and love this book. It’s impossible in my opinion. C.D. Reiss is simply brilliant. The plot is perfect; dramatic at times, passionate always. The characters are breathtaking; Theresa and Antonio are everything you expect them to be and so much more. The writing is exemplary; descriptive but not overbearing. There is humor inflicted in parts that make you laugh out loud. There’s also a certain mystique to Ms. Reiss’s writing. You always get what you need, always. But she’s never shy about leaving the reader wanting more. Because it’s just that good even if the story is not a cliff hanger or it is, even it’s tied up in a neat little bow or it’s not, you just need more of her characters and you need them immediately. As an avid reader and total fan girl of this author I love balancing on the edge of her worlds. It’s fascinating and fun and undeniably entertaining. You want me to believe in your stories? Read them over and over again? “Come volevi tu”, Ms. Reiss, “Come volevi tu.” Bravo.
