The drawings were very bright and colorful. The story was boring and repetitive, but not in a good way.

This book was interactive and fun. It used a repetitive style to let kids follow the story, and of course - Who doesn't like a book about fire trucks? I was also very amused at how TRUE the story was. It had just enough predictable and just enough random to be very entertaining. Meanwhile, it sends a good message to everyone about what firefighters are willing to do to serve others. I think even the fireman who read us this story was entertained by it.

My son gives this a five when I read this for the Fire Museum reading time today. I'm not big on the animals as fire fighters, but this had a funny way of telling about what fire fighters do and how things go for them sometimes. Nice sound "effects." Emphasizes team work and ends with the teams finally getting to eat and go to sleep for what's left of the night.

Animal firefighters go all around town fighting fires. Very brightly colored illustrations.

The story was kind of funny; the firemen's supper keeps getting interrupted by emergency calls. However, I found the illustrations somewhat ugly.
