    Number 7! I'm well on my way to finishing these books. This book went much faster than the last one. The drama is amped up and we will eventually find out Yuki's past. Kaname is getting closer to Yuki as well... Zero was not as involved as I wanted during this volume. Four out of five stars.

    Umm. Damn. Like, holy-baby-chocolate-bunnies DAMN! Yeah. Volume 7 kicked so much ass. It's kind of shocking that three main characters, a slew of background and secondary characters, and just vampires in a school is a cliche mixture of stuff. You'd think shiznit would get boring, but nope! 7 brings along some more ARE YOU FREAKIN' SERIOUS?! plot-shocks, and some pretty fun playtime with Kaname and Yuki. I mean just LOOK at that! Though, as much as I adore their lovey-huggy selves, umm...Can I just...can we just fangirl over THIS PANEL ART THAT HAPPENS THAT I HAVE TO MAKE A CLICKABLE HIDEAWAY BECAUSE SPOILERS BUT OH MY GOD AHHHHHHHHHH! (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] Screw you, that's hot. And I can't stop staring! If for no other reason (and JESUS there's other reasons like (view spoiler)[Yuki probably being a vampire, a new bad guy is possessing Shiki, and the Kaname-Yuki ship is setting sail! (hide spoiler)] ) than that single panel above, THAT is why Volume 7 is my favorite and kicks all of the ass.

    Yuki doesn't remember anything about her past except the ones she has with Kaname, the vampire who saved her from a blood-thirsty vampire ten years ago, and she suspects Kaname may have had something to do with it. She confronts him for it and promises to never stop doing so until the truth comes out, at whatever cost. I am reading the manga and watching the anime series simultaneously, and both are quite addicting. Glad my sister, who's a big fan of mangas and animes, has lent her books to me. I actually didn't plan on reading this series sooner, but my phone recently crashed and as I’m not keen on reading e-books on the computer at the moment (as most in my TBR list are e-books), I'm back to reading paperback for now.

    "Be my... lover." Bwahahaha. When Kaname said that to Yuki, I almost fell out of my chair, I was laughing so hard. It's so wrong, in so many ways. But, it's things like that that make me enjoy this series. (Although I do find it interesting that in the anime, Yuki does not invite Zero along to this meeting with Kaname -- In the manga version, it's hard to tell if Yuki was being oblivious or really cruel.) Other notes: in scenes like the one where Zero pulls a gun on Kaname, the artwork just cries "Be my... lover." Bwahahaha. This series is so all over the place, it could really go anywhere. (Yes, I know I could read spoilers online, but where's the fun in that?)

    Beautiful pictures. The emotions come through so well. I can just gaze into the eyes (yes, big eyes) and know just what the characters are thinking. Intense, as always. The plot is a bit long and drawn out, very gothic. I'm loving it.

    Could this volume end at a worse cliff-hanger? No, didn't think so. While I love this story, it tends to stall at times. There will be pages of beautiful artwork where not a whole lot happens. The characters have so much more potential than they're given. That's not to say I don't enjoy this series: I do. The intrigue is what keeps me as interested as I am, but the reread value probably isn't as high as other series I follow. If we don't get 200 of pages of stalling again.

    SPOILER ALERT....... Opens with one Hell of a chapter! Zero drinking Kaname's blood. (Great illustrations on their fight scene.) How will this affect the story? Was this Kaname's plan all along? Will Zero be bonded to him now? Ends with Kaname drinking Yuki's blood to save her from her nightmares. Plus the appearance of Rido... Who seems quite scary and very powerful. Is this confrontation what Kaname has been plotting against all along? Has it all been about protecting Yuki or something more? I ca SPOILER ALERT....... Opens with one Hell of a chapter!     3.75* Things became a bit less sweet as Kaname evaded Yuki's questions and teased her about it. The Aristocratic vampires, including Aido (who I love), were revealed to be major A-holes (Ruka was always one), so that I wonder why they attend a pacifist school. The artwork is still great, as usual. {Reread}

    I'm going to be honest, at this point of the series everything is blending together and I'm having trouble recalling events specific to the volume. So in general, Ichigo has joined the Day Class and is clearly hunting a target, Shiki is possessed by his father and is hell bent on taking down Kaname and regaining title as head of the Kuran household. Yuki was asked to be Kaname's "lover" and agrees, reluctantly. He assures her it's only to protect her and he's the best one for the job... so he al I'm going to be honest, at this point of the series everything is blending together and I'm having trouble recalling events specific to the volume. Yuki was asked to be Kaname's "lover" and agrees, reluctantly. He assures her it's only to protect her and he's the best one for the job... so he also has the Night Class stalk her during the day just to be safe. And that's everything I can recall! I know Yuki asked Kaname about her past, having figured out he's the one who hid or erased her memories of that bloody, snowy night but he refuses. Which is why she agreed to be his "lover" because that was the only way he'd tell her and then he doesn't. It's a bit sad to see Yuki manipulated by both guys in her life but I'm still enjoying the story overall. Oh yeah, duh. The big thing was Zero drank Kaname's blood to delay his falling to Level E...so now he hates Kaname even more.

    I really enjoyed this volume. The pacing and tension building was great. The students return from holiday break, and Yuki is determined to confront Kaname with her questions. Takuma is drawn into his grandfather's political machinations and meets Kaname's unrevealed enemy. Yuki tries to qustion Kaname, but he declares his love for her, leaving her speechless. So, Zero goes to Kaname to ask about her past. They fight, but Kaname offers his blood to keep Zero alive and sane in order to protect Yuki I really enjoyed this volume. Ichiru starts attending the Academy as another political pawn though his objective is unclear. Yuki again demands answers but Kaname doesn't think she is ready. Instead, he asks her to prove herself by being his lover. This causes a stir as now the entire night class is tasked with keeping her safe. Yuki's hallucinations increase and she attacks Zero. Kaname and Rido, inhabiting Shiki's body, face off, but Kaname vanishes before a war ensues. He takes Yuki, telling her to wake up.

    This is the 7th volume in the Vampire Knight series by Matsuri Hino. It is about a school with a human day shift and a vampire night shift. The main character is the daughter of the headmaster. She has fallen in love with the president of the night shift. There is a plot between the vampires wanting to continue a senate ruled political life and those wanting an aristocracy ruled life. This was a good volume, I really enjoyed how the next story arc was set up in this volume, and how it seems like it will be a fairly big one. This volume was well paced and the various events that happened seemed quite logical in the course of the story (at least in terms of character interactions). The illustrations are not bad, but I will admit it is not my favorite manga artwork. Still I do like the plot and concept, as well as the characters and the growth they have shown. AHHHHHHH HOW CAN IT END LIKE THAT?! Oh my goodness things are getting so intense and I'm so confused but intrigued at the same time ahhh!! More Yuki and Kaname moments and intensity yay and more Zero being protective of Yuki but also Kaname being protective of Yuki my heart is gonna explode. And oh my goodness the ending. I'm hoping for some answers in the next volume!

    Now I understand that smile so much that it hurts. Well crap, this volume definitely did some things to my poor, poor heart. The angst was real. From now on everything is gonna hurt, right? Have some mercy, Hino. I'm not that young anymore. NOTE TO SELF: WHY ARE YOU STILL RE-READING THIS?

    Yuki has been asking Kaname about her hidden past, she lost her memories since when she was little. So at the end of the 7th volume of the series, Kaname sinks his fangs into Yuki's neck to reawake her, to get her past back.
