As I started this one I wasn't sure about it, Reese was very prickly. It bothered me that she would take offense at compliments that Jim gave her. I was glad that after initial flare of anger she would let Jim explain what he meant and realize it was meant in the best way possible. Sure with Reese's background it made sense that Reese would thing bad things first. I loved how Reese and Jim seemed to make big changes in how things were done at work, how both of them saw bad things before they wer As I started this one I wasn't sure about it, Reese was very prickly. But the best the scene at the end, loved that old and new friends were all there.

The heroine has just been promoted to driver of the president's limo in the official motorcade. She used to be a NASCAR driver, but she applied to drive in the Secret Service and worked her way up very quickly. The hero is a K9 officer with the Secret Service, who is attracted to her when they first meet, but makes lots of mistakes when trying to talk to her. Fortunately his dog, Malcolm, is cute. He's an English Springer Spaniel who sniffs for explosives. This is a romantic suspense, but most o The heroine has just been promoted to driver of the president's limo in the official motorcade. This is a romantic suspense, but most of the focus is on the suspense, with lots of fascinating details about the White House and the motorcade and how the USS prepares for and carries out their tasks of transporting and protecting the president and other government officials. It's a good read and I liked it a lot.

First off, what is the deal with Goodreads making this book so hard to find on a search?? By title, it never came up. I had to search for "white house protection" to find it for review. Similar to the first book, the hero is very capable but is not an alpha male. The heroine is very strong and capable. It had a nice thriller plot line with appearances by characters from the author's other books (you do not need to read the others first). I enjoyed this one better than the first one in the series. It was nice to see an alpha heroine paired with a more nurturing hero. Looking forward to the next one.

I loved Reese and her attitude, loyalty, and commitment. Malcolm and Jim are such a good team and well suited for Reese. This series is right behind The Night Stalkers snd Delta series

Nice man; great dog meets excellant driver! One of the secret services “floppy eared” patrol dogs (explosive detection in a friendly dog suit) walks around the White House and finds the new driver of the Presidential “Beast”. Mayhem and problems ensue and the good guys win - but it is fun reading about it!
