Jezibaba—aka Elenora the reluctant Dragoness—is tucked into her beach house and enjoying her retirement. After hundreds of years of protecting the nutbag magical community, she deserves a little peace and quiet. Right? Wrong… What she doesn’t deserve is her dragon lover announcing their mating to all of dragonkind. Those crazy flying freaks consider her to be Damien’s pet human which is really not working for her. The least he could have done was warn her they were about to be summoned before the Council of Dragons to explain themselves. She also doesn’t deserve to have to worry about the wicked firebird mage, Zenos, trying to bed Damien’s mother. You’d think a couple of millennial-old creatures would keep their embarrassing wooing to themselves. Damien’s breathing fire over it and Goddess only knows what’s going to happen when the Council of Dragons finds out. The chaos she calls her life has her all fired up again. Retirement will have to wait. Something has to be done before her inner dragon decides to get involved and the witch hits the fan. But, as all creatures who are different, she faces being accepted by the Dragon world as a pure blood good enough to mate with their kind. Damien Smoke is Elenora's dragon mate and wishes to take things to the next level with her. Steeling the action of the book is a Firebird mage Zenos. Quick read that hits the romantic, humor, and GOOD GUYS RULE buttons. "A copy of this book was provided by the author with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion."

This is All Fired Up : Love Spells, Jezibaba Saga book one, written by Donna McDonald. This is a fun and twisted book. It’s full of action and shifters and magic and witches and romance, lots of romance. There is a lot going on and sometimes it was hard for me to keep up with everything but, it’s a great book. I’m interested to see what fun is going to be going on in the next book!

A Great New Series! I 'discovered' Donna McDonald's books about five years ago with the book  The Daemon of Synar (Forced To Serve Book 1).  That story completely hooked me and I subsequently read the whole series before going onto The Art Of Love Series.  I love her relaxed style of writing that is peppered with humour and plenty of passion.  This book All Fired Up  is penned with that same style that I appreciate so much. In this new series of the paranormal we meet Elenora the reluctant Dragoness who is wanting to retire but there are issues that are prohibiting her form doing so. Damien ,her 'boyfriend', takes her on holiday and she is trying to get used to her new powers and he's wanting to claim her as his dragon mate but to do this they must go before The Dragon Council for it's approval.  Damien is always there for Elenora - even there for her first shift into a dragon and they are crazy in love with each other.  I was captivated by their story and laughed at the antics that happened to them and that they perpetrated. When reading this book you can expect wonderfully 3-dimensional characters that pull at your heart. This was a fantastic quick read with plenty of humour, romance, twists and the 'baddies' never, ever win!  Put quite simply, this is a splendid story that I encourage you to get for yourself. I am looking forward to book 2 in the series now! I received a reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Definitely recommended

She’s baaaaaa-aaaaaaaaaack! No worries, this is a new series, however, I read about the Jezibaba in the Baba Yaga Saga series. I enjoyed those books and loved to continue reading about her and her crazy, mixed-up life. At its core, the story is about Elenora coming to terms with her new “life skills”. She is now an “infamous dragon-witch” trying to be in retirement from her Jezibaba days. Damien is a dragon and wants to be her official mate, rather than SO. Chaos ensues when they go back to Damien’s “home” to get the Dragon Council’s blessing. Characters from the previous series pop up but it is not a problem to meet them for the first time, if you are just starting to read this new series. I loved how Elenora went thru a very intense personal journey and that Damien was always there for her, even when he was being a (many hundred) year old boy. Their scenes are always funny, even for these two crazy-in-love, just-plain-crazy “kids”. It’s funny, it’s exciting, it’s over the top but that’s why I enjoyed it. I’m going to stick around for the ride to see where this saga takes me. Sounds like fun!

All Fired Up by Donna McDonald Jezibaba Saga Book #1 Jezibaba may have appeared in previous books but this is the first time I have met her or any of the others mentioned in this book. Elenora and Damien have been for at least a decade. When we meet them in this story Damien is ready to do the mating thing and Elenora is not sure she is ready for that at all. She is still dealing with the dragon lurking within her and trying to get to know it better. She is unsure how the two will get along and whether or not she is ready to take on more dragons. Damien’s mother is flirting with an ancestor of Elenora, the dragon counsel is not living up to its potential, there is a purple fairy flitting around, there is an evil she-dragon with her own agenda and…a visit from someone rather special. All in all a fun easy read that sets the stage for future books in this entertaining saga. Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review. 3-4 Stars

As expected, this book is a map-cap romp of epic proportions. If you’re not crazy when you start reading it, you will be by the end – grab a copy and jump into the wild world this author paints for us! They needed each other, or she would never be completely happy. Elenora’s lover, Damien, was trying to talk her into embracing and trusting her dragon. He invited her to fly with him over the ocean since he had helped her achieve her first shift. She wasn’t willing to assume the risk of drowning, however. He wants her for his mate and is trying to do what he can to make that happen. He gets the Dragon Council involved and things get very crazy quickly! Grab yourself a copy of this book and see how it all gets sorted out . . . or not? You can rely on the fact it will be a wild adventure with lots of action!

Tongue in cheek, All Fired Up: Love Spells (Jezibaba Saga Book 1) by Donna McDonald is a funny read. The romance is already a done deal when this book begins, so for more on that one might go back to the series from which this is a spin-off. It has never been easy for her as a witch that was prophesied so of course, it is not easy as she enters Damien, her mate’s world either. Dragon politics, old grudges and no respect for Jezibaba make for an entertaining, hilarious read. The publisher/author gave me a complimentary ARC of the book which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Wow, Wow bring the heat. Elenora just wants to spend time loving and being with her man. She can't because he wants the Dragon counsel to ok them being mates. But comes to find out that isn't as easy as Damien thinks. His family accepts her but when it comes to Dragon politics, no. Zenos is being his usual self when he needs rescue from some witches, it comes from a white Dragon, Celeste. Now he is smitten with her. He also wants to help Elenora cause he knows that her situation is critical. This Wow, Wow bring the heat. Elenora just wants to spend time loving and being with her man. All Fired Up takes us into a "world" of witches, fairies, shifters, deities, and ancient ones. Competing factions and inter species politics keeps unrest high. In previous books (and it might be best to have read them before) Elenora was the witch protector, now she's entering the dragon fold. And dragons are the top of the food chain, at least they think they're so superior. This fun fast paced fantasy takes you away on a wild adventure with characters you can't help but fall in love with. Great Book Yay more of the Jezibaba's story! I love reading about Eleanor and Damien. Their relationship is so beautiful to watch unfold, and Eleanor always makes me laugh. I read from the beginning in the Baba Yaga series, it is really fun to get to see more of these characters but also get to know new ones. I don't think you have to read the first books to read this one but if you want the back story it's there for you! Great Book, off to read the next one! Great Book Yay more of the Jezibaba's story! I am loving this series. I loved Eleanor in the Magic and Mayhem Kindle World and was so excited to see more stories in the Love Spells books. This book has it all. Paranormal characters. This love story has us seeing what happened to Jezibaba when she retired with her sexy professor/dragon. A fun read!

I am always excited for a new book from Donna McDonald! This one does not disappoint. The only advice would be that you would need to read the book that leads up to this one or you will be very confused at the beginning. Otherwise, a thoroughly enjoyable read!

New job Ah yes, just love what the Jezibaba gets herself caught up in. Elenora thinks herself retired, almost retired, she has one job left to do. But fate has other plans for her and she finds herself with a new role, one she was born to do. The humor is understated, the dangers are real and once again the decisions are lift threatening. A great start to the new life of Elenora, the semi-retired Jezibaba.
