This was fun, I liked that Ivy and Colby had a long history, knowing each other all their lives. The teasing back and forth was fun, but as they did their jobs and got closer it was better to see how their relationship changed. The way that Ivy described Colby to her boss was telling, yet the two of them worked great together. By having the history they were able to have a short hand when things went out of control. Things at the end were especially crazy, both Ivy and Colby did great things to This was fun, I liked that Ivy and Colby had a long history, knowing each other all their lives. I didn't hate the book, but it didn't live up to the promise of the first two in the series. I realize when the first hero in the series is a chocolatier, it's hard to follow up. But... It seemed more about the characters realizing they have grown up than anything else. There were terror attacks that were never resolved (well, they blew up whoever was driving the drone, but never explained who was behind it). Up until this book, I have totally LOVED everything this author has written. This just fell flat for me. About 90% of the book was navel-gazing. The action was really interesting, and should have filled more than a few pages. The ending was abrupt, and we never even found out who (view spoiler)[the bad guys were. I give this book 5 1/2 stars. I loved that Colby and Ivy found each other after so many years and that childhood love turned real. I wish they would have explained who was trying to kill the President. I also hope there are more books in this series and we find out who Miss Watson really is.

As always, I love Buchman's characters, especially the really competent female Marine major.

It was good but I would have liked a bit more of the stuff that happened after that last attack to happen on the page, instead of jumping ahead to the wedding. The ending felt rushed.
